McRoy Perritte, of Summerville, S.C., died April 5, 2002, at a local nursing home.
Funeral services will be held at Parks Funeral Home Chapel, Monday morning, April 8, 2002, at 11 o'clock. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens.

BONAPARTE, Gary
Entered into eternal rest on April 5, 2002, Mr. Gary E. Bonaparte, the beloved son of the late Mrs. Jestine B. Owens, brother of Lucille Phillips, Robert, Jessie, Abraham, Tyrone, Herbert Lee and Eva Owens. Late residence 3977-B Hillyard Drive, North Charleston, S.C. Funeral notice later. GUESS, SR., Louis
HENDERSONVILLE - Louis David Guess, Sr., 90, a disabled veteran, died Saturday in a Charleston hospital.
Funeral services with full military rites, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the graveside in Stokes cemetery, directed by the Fred Parker Funeral Home.
Mr. Guess was born Aug. 3, 1911 in Hendersonville, a son of the late Frank Guess and Mary Elizabeth Fraysse Guess. He was a member of Salem United Methodist Church. He was an Army veteran of World War II, having served in the Battle of Luxembourg, Battle of the Bulge and Battle of the Rhineland in Germany.
Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Louis D. Guess, Jr. and Gail B. Guess of Hendersonville, a sister, Frankie Guess Lyle of Hendersonville and a grandson, Louis D. Guess, III of Hendersonville.
Memorials may be made to Salem United Methodist Church, c/o Renee White, 7263 Hendersonville Hwy., Walterboro, S.C. 29488.
Visitation will be held Monday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the FRED PARKER FUNERAL HOME.

The relatives and friends of Harriet Sease Bates are invited to attend her funeral services in Eccles United Methodist Church, Eccles Church Road, Huger, S.C., Tuesday, April 9, 2002, at 3 o'clock. Interment, Churchyard cemetery.

DAVIS, Dorothy
Entered into eternal rest on the afternoon of April 7, 2002, Dorothy Herron Davis, wife of Corbett D. Davis, Jr. Residence, North Charleston, S.C. The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Corbett D. Davis, Jr. are invited to attend the graveside services of the latter in Carolina Memorial Gardens Wednesday, April 10, 2002 at 2:30 o'clock. Interment, Carolina Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTH AREA CHAPEL Tuesday between 6 and 8 o'clock.
Mrs. Davis was born February 11, 1921 in Bamberg, S.C., the daughter of Charles H. Herron, Sr. and Nettie Sanders Herron. She was a loving and devoted homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She is survived by her husband; five sons, Edward J. Davis of Columbus, Ga., Richard C. Davis of Raeford, N.C., C. Mark Davis of Summerville, S.C., D. Timothy Davis of Greenville, N.C., R. Christopher Davis of Charleston, S.C.; three brothers, Ruben Herron of Charleston, S.C., Jack Herron of Savannah, Ga., James Herron of Rock Hill, S.C.; two sisters, Sarah Cain of Summerville, S.C. and Lucille Williams of Charleston, S.C.; ten grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

JONES, Geneva
The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Winfred Lee Jones, Jr. are invited to attend the funeral services of the latter, Wednesday, at 2 o'clock in James Island Baptist Church. Interment, Live Oak Memorial Gardens.

STEELE, Nell
Entered into eternal rest, Nell Atkinson Steele, 87, of Hanahan, beloved mother, widow of Dewey A. Steele on Monday, April 8, 2002. The relatives and friends of Mrs. Steele are invited to attend her services in J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Greenridge Road Chapel, Thursday morning, April 11, 2002 at 11:00 o'clock. Interment will follow in Carolina Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at STUHR'S GREENRIDGE ROAD CHAPEL this evening (Wednesday) between 6 and 8 o'clock.
Mrs. Steele was born November 27, 1914 in Darlington County, South Carolina, a daughter of John R. Atkinson and Ethel Bland Atkinson. She completed her education in Darlington County Schools and was a member of Yeamans Park Presbyterian Church. During her lifetime she owned and operated a boarding house in Charleston and also excelled in retail sales including Avon and Sarah Coventry Jewelry.
She is survived by two sons and a daughter, Donald L. (Martha) Steele of Hanahan, S.C., John C. (Barbara) Steele of Walterboro, S.C. and Anne S. (Milton) Farley of Hanahan, S.C.; six grandchildren, Lynn Steele, Michelle S. Carter, Christy S. Clark, Laurie S. Herrington, John C. Steele, II and Leah Steele; three great-grandchildren, Donald, Brandon and Amber Steele; brother-in-law, Joe Busby.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Lutheran Hospice, 753 Johnnie Dodds Blvd., Suite 100, Mt. Pleasant, S.C. 29464 or Yeamans Park Presbyterian Church, 5931 Murray Drive, Hanahan, S.C. 29406.

COTHREN, Paul
Entered into eternal rest on the morning of March 31, 2002 in Natchez, Mississippi, Howard Paul Cothren, father of Paulette Cothren Wingard and grandfather of Keith and Michael Wingard of Yonges Island, S.C.
