PENDARVIS, Robert
ST. GEORGE - Robert ‘Sonny Pendarvis, 72, 116 Crawford Drive, St. George died Wednesday April 10, 2002 in Trident Medical Center, Charleston. Funeral Services will be held 3 p.m. Friday in the Indian Field United Methodist Church with Rev. Betty Hughes officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be David Peagler, Harold Peagler, William Canaday, Douglas Pendarvis, J.P. Jackson, James Jackson, Jr., James Infinger, Walter Wagers, Thomas Infinger, David Felkel, Timmy Metts, and Clifford Byars. Visitation will be from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday at Bryant Funeral Home. Mr. Pendarvis was born March 29, 1930 in Rosinville Community of Dorchester County a son of the late Dennis Daniel and Odell Myers Pendarvis. He attended Harleyville Public School and was a retired motor grader operator for Dorchester County Road Department. He was a member of Indian Field United Methodist Church where he belonged to the Christian Fellowship Sunday School Class, Mens Club, Country Living Senior Group, and was a former member of Administrative Board. He was predeceased by a brother, Melvin Pendarvis, and 2 sisters, Dizzie Jackson and Gladys Canaday. Surviving are: wife, Lillian Crawford Pendarvis, of the home, 2 daughters, Elaine (Miles) Green, and Brenda Crosby both of Harleyville. 2 sisters, Effie Lee Peagler, North Charleston, and Lula Bell (Franklin) Peagler, St. George. 5 grandchildren, Lavan Green, Atlanta, GA, Troy Crosby, Tracy (John) Brown, both of Summerville, Shelly Green, Greenville, SC, and Joy Weatherford, St. George. 2 great-grandchildren, Alexander Brown, Summerville and Anna Weatherford, St. George. BOWLER, William
Entered into eternal rest on the afternoon of April 12, 2002, William Charles Bowler, widower of Delores R. Bowler. Residence, Hanahan, S.C. Services will be held in Michigan at a later date.
Mr. Bower was born December 15, 1915 in Fletcherton, Ontario, Canada, a son of Samuel Bowler and Ella Crossley Bowler. He was a Design Engineer for General Motors for 35 years.
He is survived by two sons, Charles Bowler of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Keith Miller of Grosse Pointe Shores, Michigan; two daughters, Doris Belli of Warren, Michigan and Christine B. Schaub of Mt. Pleasant, S.C.; one daughter-in-law, Justine Miller; two sons-in-law, Ken Schaub and Frank Tunniclef; five grandchildren, Nicole, Kristen, Graham, Blair, and Leslie; two great-grandchildren, Kelsey and Jacob.

Mr. Sineath was born November 4, 1959 in Charleston, S.C., a son of Arnold Clemson Sineath, Sr. and Yvonne Thornley Sineath. He was a graduate of Hanahan High School and the co-owner and manager of Sineath Estates. He was a softball and baseball coach for 15 years for North Charleston Park and Hanahan Recreation Department. He sponsored a Good News Club at Sineath Estates for children that were unable to attend church. He was an avid fisherman and shrimper. He was a devoted husband and father.
He is survived by his wife of Hanahan, S.C.; his mother, Yvonne Thornley Sineath of Charleston, S.C.; one son, Robert Craig Sineath, Jr. of Hanahan, S.C.; two daughters, Chelsea Jeanne Sineath and Katie Carson Sineath both of Hanahan, S.C.; one brother, Arnold C. Sineath, Jr. of Ladson, S.C.; three sisters, Rhonda Taylor of St. Mary's, Ga. Connie Sineath of Ladson, S.C., Gloria D. Sineath of Summerville, S.C.; four nephews; eight nieces; and three great-nieces.

Mrs. Cross was born November 14, 1918 in Viola, Tennessee, daughter of Jonah C. and Annie Belle Wilcher Brown.
Mrs. Cross was a member of St. James Episcopal Church. Mrs. Cross raised her family with Mr. Cross in Berkeley Height, N.J. Active in Berkeley Heights United Way, and served as President. For many years was on the board of The Youth and Family Services of Westfield, N.J. Operated a teenage hot line to combat teenage suicides. Mrs. Cross worked in the Personnel Department of American Lava, Tennessee Eastman Corp. Mrs. Cross retired with her husband in 1986 from Massachusetts.
She is survived by her husband of Charleston, S.C., two daughters, Carol C. Polega of Houston, Tex., and Ellen C. Wilson of Kernersville, N.C., two sons, A. Stanley Cross, III of Dallas, Tex., and David W. Cross of Odenton, Md., one sister, Jodie Brown of Viola, Tenn., and nine grandchildren.
