Mrs. Tallant was born in Chattanooga, Tenn., the daughter of Joseph T. Reynolds and Emma Gibson Reynolds. She was a member of Givhans Baptist Church. She was very active in ministry with her husband at James Island Baptist Church. Harbour Lake Baptist Church, Dorchester Waylan Baptist Church, and North Conway Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband of Charleston, S.C.; one sister, Anna Margaret Martin of Charleston, S.C.

Caroline Richardson, 39, of Moncks Corner, passes away on Tuesday, September 10, 2002, at her home. She was born in Charleston, SC on March 11, 1963, the daughter of the late Boyd and Virgie Bridges (nee Moore). Mrs. Richardson was a member of Midway Baptist Church, Goose Creek. Her brother, Boyd E. Bridges, preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband, James V. Richardson of Moncks Corner, SC; a son, Michael Brinson of Moncks Corner, SC; four daughters, Malissa Brinson, Christina Brinson, Jennifer Brinson, and Deanna Richardson, all of Moncks Corner, SC; brother, James B. Bridges (Shorty); six sisters, Mildred Dean Wamble, Doris Clemons, Virgie E. Etling, Ruby H. Burbage, Judy Ann Kleiser and Deloris Jean Robinson; two grandchildren. MAREK, Ernest
Ernest Edward Marek, aged 72, of Goose Creek, husband of Evelyn Marek, died on Monday, September 9, 2002, at a local hospital.
Funeral services will be on Wednesday, September 11, 2002 at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home Chapel at 11:30 AM, with entombment to follow in Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 10:30 to 11:30 AM, one hour prior to service time.
Born in Whitehall, New York, he was a son of the late Thomas James Marek and Helen Grace Woodard Marek. Mr. Marek was a machinist and was retired from the Naval Shipyard; a Navy veteran of the Korean and Vietnam era. He attended Metro North Presbyterian Church.
Surviving include his wife, Evelyn Marek; one daughter, Brenda Joyce Salhamm of N. Charleston; four sons, Wayne Marek of Norfolk, VA, Randy Marek, David Marek, both of Hanahan, and Michael Marek of Goose Creek; 6 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Gordon J. Marek of Tycondaroga, New York and William J. Marek of Tuscon, Arizona.

Ronald "Ron" L. Cornett, 42, of Ladson, died Sunday in a Charleston hospital.

Ron was born on April 16, 1960 in Elizabeth City, North Carolina, a son of Billy Don and Maxine Louise Baker Cornett of Ladson. He was a graduate of Stall High School. He attended the College of Charleston and Trident Technical College. He was a production worker with Scotts Company in North Charleston. He was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are his parents of Ladson; one brother, Alvin Donald "Don" Cornett of Holly Springs, NC; one sister, Karen Marie Cornett of Stanley, NC; six nieces and nephews; three uncles, A.H. Cornett, Jr. of Holis, OK, Joe W. Cornett of Gould, OK, Frank Baker of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; one aunt, Selma Baker of Charleston. He was predeceased by a brother, Jeffrey Cornett.
