John Hermayer, husband of Olga Jonas Hermayer of Mt. Pleasant, SC died Wednesday, October 16, 2002 in a local nursing home. The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. John Hermayer are invited to attend the funeral services of the former, Sunday, October 20, 2002 in All Saints Lutheran Church at 3:00 o’clock. POLENSKY, Mary
Mary H. Polensky, 56, of Charleston, wife of Harry Polensky, died Monday, October 14, in Greenville, N.C., due to an automobile accident. She was born in Biloxi, Miss., to Homer J. and Mary R. Brown Humphrey of Biloxi. She was a graduate of Bishop England High School. Mrs. Polensky worked at James Island Middle School and was a member of Nativity Catholic Church. She is survived by her parents of Biloxi, her husband of Charleston, four sons, Michael C. Polensky, Joseph L. Polensky, Paul M. Polensky, and Thomas C. Polensky all of Charleston, four daughters, Shaughn M. Hutchinson and husband Matt of Charlotte, N.C., Morgan Polensky of Virginia Beach, Va., Bridgett A. Polensky, and Mary C. Polensky, both of Charleston. Also one sister, Mamie Humphrey of Biloxi, Miss., and one grandson, Phillip Polensky of Charleston. The family will receive friends, 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, October 18, at MCALISTER-SMITH DOWNTOWN CHAPEL. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m., Saturday, October 19, at Nativity Catholic Church. HARTE, Veronica
Sister Veronica Harte, a member of the Sisters of Charity of Our Lady of Mercy, died at the Motherhouse of the Congregation on Wednesday, October 16, 2002. Sister Veronica, formerly Ann Harte, daughter of John and Anne Hoey Harte, was born on Monday, July 27, 1908, in Gort, County Galway, Ireland. She entered the convent on August 23, 1924, and professed her vows on April 18, 1927. A graduate of Our Lady of Mercy Junior College, Sister Veronica also attended the Catholic University of America, Washington, D.C., and Villanova University, Villanova, PA. For years Sister Veronica taught in the diocesan parochial schools including the Cathedral and St. Joseph's in Charleston, and St. Anne's in Sumter. In 1979 she joined the Pastoral Care Department of St. Francis Xavier Hospital where she served as a Sister visitor until 1990. Sister Veronica was Director of Novices for the Congregation from 1940 to 1946, a member of the General Council and Superior of Our Lady of Mercy Convent, Charleston, from 1958-1964. She is survived by her sister, Sister Francis Harte of the Presentation Convent, Tuam, County Galway, Ireland, and numerous nieces and nephews. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Motherhouse, 424 Ft. Johnson Road, James Island, Saturday, October 19, 2002, at 11 a.m. Friends are invited to call at the Motherhouse on Friday, October 18, 2002, from 2 until 5 p.m. A Vigil Service will be held at 7 p.m. The Rite of Committal will be in Holy Cross cemetery. Elvera Matheson Wiley, 89, widow of Richard Eugene Wiley, of Summerville, S.C., died Tuesday, October 15, 2002, at a local nursing home.

Survivors include one grandson, Michael Snipes of Columbia, S.C., three granddaughters, June Smith, Lisa Leslie, both of Summerville, Tami Linker of James Island, S.C., 11 great-grandchildren, and 13 great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter, Brenda Barker and one grandson, Billy Hadwin.

BINDURSKY, Minnie
Entered into eternal rest on October 16, 2002, Minnie Florsheim Bindursky, widow of Herman Bindursky, residence, Charleston, S.C. The relatives and friends are invited to attend her graveside services in the Temple Israel cemetery in Memphis Tenn., on Monday, October 21, 2002.
Ms. Bindursky was born July 10, 1913, in Shreveport, La., the daughter of Seymour Louis Florsheim and Eva Jacobson. Ms. Bindursky was a long-time resident of Lepanto, Ark. Following the death of her husband she moved to Memphis, Tenn., and then to Charleston, S.C., where she resided until her death. She was a member of Temple Israel in Memphis and later of Temple Kahal Kadosh Beth Elohim in Charleston.
She is survived by one granddaughter, Jennifer Coleman, one sister, Josephine Florsheim and a sister-in-law, Nancy Florsheim, and several nieces and nephews.

Hallex of Cottageville, S.C., a daughter, Christy Marie Johnson of Moncks Corner, S.C., three sons, Ronnie Johnson, Jr., and Sqeakie Jacobs, both of Moncks Corner, S.C., and Joshua Jacobs of Columbia, S.C., three brothers, John E. Tyler of Haynes City, Fla., Danny Tyler of Tabor City, N.C., and Tim Tyler of St. Stephen, S.C., also, one granddaughter.
EDWARDS, Irene

Mrs. Edwards was born March 21, 1912, in Dublin, Ga., the daughter of Louis A. Illing and Mary Louise Addison Illing. She was a member of the Cathedral Church of St. Luke and St. Paul. She retired as a secretary to the President of Kerrison's Department Store. She was a graduate of Memminger High School.
She is survived by one son William Louis Edwards and his wife Dorothy of Poway, Calif.; two grandsons, Major William Louis Edwards, Jr., U.S. Army and Patrick A. Edwards; two sisters, Dorothy I. Pennell of Charleston, S.C., and Florence V. Illing of Memphis, Tenn.

SCHULTZ, William
William W. "Bill" Schultz, 77, husband of Priscilla Romeo Schultz of Summerville, SC, died October 16, 2002 at his residence.
Memorial services will be held at Bethany United Methodist Church - Spell Chapel, Saturday afternoon, October 19, 2002 at 3 o'clock. Burial will be private. Mr. Schultz was born January 7, 1925 in Saginaw, MI, a son of William James Schultz and Leone Forbes Schultz. He was a retired Drafting Engineer for Goer Manufacturing. He was an U.S. Army veteran of World War II and was a Mason.
Survivors include his wife, Priscilla Schultz of Summerville; two daughters, Brenda Frye of Summerville and Nancy Tait of Pasadena, Maryland; stepsister, Daisy Galovics of Saginaw, MI; and four grandchildren.
