Vera Martin Davidson, 72, of Summerville, wife of Richard Davidson, died Wednesday in a local hospital.

Mrs. Davidson was born July 22, 1930 in Cottageville, South Carolina, a daughter of the late Eddie Martin and Essie Mae Creel Martin. She attended Dorchester and Colleton County schools. She was a homemaker. She was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are her husband of Summerville; 3 sons, Charlton Miller Jr. of Dorchester, SC, Michael Miller of Burton, SC, Kenneth Miller of Richmond Hill, GA; 1 daughter, Cynthia Davidson of Seattle, Washington; 1 stepson, James Mitchell Davidson of Reevesville, SC; 6 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren.

JACKSONBORO - Mrs. Annamae Angel Hiott McMillan, 56, of 42 Hope Plantation Lane, died Wednesday at Trident Medical Center. Mrs. McMillan was born in Charleston County, a daughter of Carn Foch Hiott, Sr. and Mary Alice Baker Hiott. She was an employee with CCX in Walterboro and was a member of Jacksonboro Baptist Church.
Surviving in addition to her parents of Walterboro are her husband, Ted Malcom McMillan; a son and daughter-in-law, Jeremy Ted McMillan and April M. McMillan of Smoaks; two brothers, Carn Foch Hiott, Jr. of Ruffin and Robert L. Hiott of Lexington; a sister, Margaret H. Johnson of Hilton Head; and a grandson, Matthew Ted McMillan.

Gladys, best known by her family as "Happy, " was born on September 8, 1909, in Salpulpa, Okla., known then as "Indian Territory." She was the daughter of the late Charles Earle Fouts and Clara Miller Fouts. She attended college in Colorado and California. She retired as a comptroller with Sheraton Adventure Inn, Hilton Head Island, S.C., and moved to Summerville in 1992. She was a member of Scots Kirk Associate Reformed Synod and was active in community work when she resided in Albuquerque for 25 years.
Surviving are, one son, Roy C. Holdridge, Jr., and his wife, Donna of Redfield, KS; one daughter, Gaye H. Ethridge and her husband Jim J. of Summerville; one sister, Ruth Horn of Albuquerque, N.M.; six grandchildren, Roy Holdridge, IV, and his wife, Julie of Fort Scott, KS, Ron Holdridge and his wife Lora of Summerville, S.C., Missie Cagle of Redfield, KS, James J. Ethridge, Jr., and his wife Janet of Atlanta, GA, Timothy Cole Ethridge and his wife Ellen of Easley, SC, Patrick Magill Ethridge and his wife Kimberly of Daniel Island, SC; and ten great-grandchildren.
