Judith Marie Martin, 61, of Mt. Pleasant, SC died Saturday, August 17, 2002 in a local hospital. The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Lee Martin are invited to attend the Funeral Liturgy of the latter Tuesday, August 20, 2002 in J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Mount Pleasant Chapel at 2:00 o'clock. Entombment will follow in Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at Stuhr's Mount Pleasant Chapel one hour prior to service.
Mrs. Martin was born in La Porte, IN, a daughter of George Hill and Hazel Godsey Riley Hill.
She graduated from Rolling Prairie Indiana High School, Class of 1960.
Surviving are her husband of Mt. Pleasant, SC; her mother, Hazel Godsey Hill Riley of Indianapolis, Indiana; two sons, Todd Allen Martin of Kenly, NC; Stacy Lee Martin of Mount Pleasant, SC; two daughters, Joeylyne Marie Phillips of North Charleston, SC, Keyle Dyan Wallace of Syracuse, Indiana; one brother, George Hill, Jr. of La Porte, Indiana; seven grandchildren, Eric Martin, Anthony Martin, Kristen Pizzino, Hannah Vavryshko, Deanyl Wallace, Erin Wallace, and Dylan Wallace.

LUCHT, Robert
Retired Marine Corps Chief Warrant Officer Robert William Lucht, 86, and former Director of Laundry Operations at the Citadel, husband of Dorothy E. Lucht died Friday, August 16, at a local hospital. Born in Chicago, Ill., to the late William and Margaret Spellan Lucht. CWO Lucht was a veteran of W.W.II and the Korean War. He was a life member of the 1st Marine Division Association, American Legion Post #10, Retired Officers Association, and the Hibernian Society, and the Elks Lodge #242. He was predeceased by two of his daughters, Eileen Hope Lucht, and Margaret Ellen Brady. Surviving Mr. Lucht is his wife, Dorothy E. Lucht of Charleston, two daughters, Joanne Marie Lucht of Jacksonville, N.C., Jeannette Duggan of Gaithersburg, Md., two sons, Thomas Lucht of Columbia, and Robert Lucht of Charleston, two sisters, Dorothy Barnhart, and Virginia Grossmas both of Chicago, Ill., also six grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Sunday, August 18, at MCALISTER-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, DOWNTOWN CHAPEL. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m., Monday, August 19, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Holly Cross cemetery.

Idell Savage Adams, 77, of Summerville, wife of William Gus Adams, died Saturday morning, August 17, 2002.
Funeral service will be held, Monday, August 19, 2002, at 11 o'clock, in James A. Dyal Funeral Home Chapel, Summerville. Burial will be in Dorchester Memory Gardens, 11000 Dorchester Road, Summerville.

Mrs. Adams was born on June 8, 1925, in Charleston County, S.C., a daughter of the late Charlie Anderson Savage and Irene Carroll Savage. She graduated from St. Paul's High School, Hollywood, S.C. Mrs. Adams was a member of Lydia Baptist Church, where she had served as Choir Leader, Sunday School teacher and member of the Women's Missionary Union.
Surviving are, her husband of Summerville; two sons, David Adams of Summerville, Johnny Adams and his wife Teresa of Summerville; seven daughters, Marygeanette Alger and her husband Daniel of Summerville, Barbara Adams of Walterboro, Betty Adams of Charleston, Wilma Muckenfuss of Summerville, Linda Hilton and her husband Gary of Summerville, Irene Dopsovic and her husband Thomas of Easton, Pa., Shirley Evanoff and her husband Karl of Summerville; 17 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Agnes Perry and her husband Chuck of St. Augustine, Fla., Kathleen Adams and her husband Charlie, Sr.

Mrs. Walpole was born August 28, 1907, in Jacksonville, Fla., daughter of James Rembert and Laura Dotterer Hill. She was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church, Johns Island.
Mrs. Walpole received E.C.W. Woman of the Year Award, Diocese of S.C., served as secretary at St. John's High School and St. John's Episcopal Church. She was active in Diocesan Youth Work. She was an accomplished artist.
She is survived by one son, H. Benjamin Walpole, Jr., of Johns Island, S.C., two daughters, Laura Walpole Dixon, of Summerville, S.C., and Adelaide "Scooty" Walpole Burch of Clemson, S.C.; 11 grandchildren, Anne, Philip, and Ben Dixon, Katherine Monroe, H.B. Walpole, III, Calhoun Perkins, Guildford Walpole, Gregory and Christopher Burch, Julia Jackson, and Catherine Smith; 11 great-grandchildren, and one brother, James Rembert Hill of Largo, Fla. She was predeceased by her sister, Laura Dotterer Hill.

Mr. Wittschen has a B.S. in Business Administration from Presbyterian College, MBA from the University of S.C. Ph.D. from University Ala., U.S. Army Command and General Staff College, U.S. Army War College. He was a member and past treasurer of Folly Beach Exchange Club. He was a member of the Folly Beach Civic Club, Islander Shag Club, American Legion Post 147, Kappa Alpha Order, Southern Finance and Southern Economic Associations. He was a member, past dean and treasurer of American Guild of Organists. He was a member and past president of Charleston Lions Club. He was a member of Omicron Delta Epsilon, honor society in economic. He was an honorary and professional statistical fraternity, Chi Alpha Phi. He was a member of Beta Gamma Sigma, honor society of AACSB he was a Minister of Music- Folly Beach United Methodist Church. He was a City Councilman and Mayor-protem of Folly Beach, S.C.
He is survived by his wife, twin sister, Joann W. Burks of Clearwater, Fla., one niece, Susan Myerscough, two great-nieces, Shanna and Sydney Myerscough, one great-nephew, Austin Myerscough.

Drew Willie Ash Sutton, 88, of Summerville, S.C., widow of James Eston Sutton, died Friday, August 16, 2002 at a Summerville nursing home. She was retired from Ames Textile Company and was a member of Town Creek Baptist Church.
