Mrs. Wood was born January 8, 1932, in Beaufort, South Carolina, the daughter of Ike Altman and Rita Matthews Altman. She was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church, Monks Corner, SC, and a retired hairdresser. She was a former Girl Scout leader and ceramics shop owner. She was known as "Mama San Church" (Karate).
Surviving are: two daughters, Linda Church Kelly of N. Charleston, SC, and Brenda Church Waddell of Moncks Corner, SC; two sisters, Margaret Floyd of N. Charleston, SC, and Louise Grott of Punta Gorda, FL; four grandchildren, Don Church, Krisha Waddell, Robert Kelly, and Patrick Kelly; one great-grandson, Scott Kelly.
RAGON, Tracy
Entered into eternal rest on the morning of August 11, 2002, Tracy Oleta Ragon, wife of Thomas Michael Ragon. Residence, James Island, SC. The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Michael Ragon are invited to attend the funeral services of the latter, Wednesday at 12:30 in James Island Presbyterian Church. Burial, private.
Mrs. Ragon was born April 22, 1968 in Charleston, SC, the daughter of Robert Edward Bunn and Molly McKeithan Hughes.
She is survived by her mother and husband; four sons, Tommy, Gregory, Justin, and Shane Ragon, all of James Island, SC; one sister, Terri Davis Of John's Island; two stepsisters, Barbara Daniels of Charleston, SC, and Katrina Walker of Columbia, SC; one stepbrother, Allen Hughes of Waxhaw, SC; paternal grandmother, Oleta Bunn of Savannah, GA.

BLACKVILLE, SC - Mary Ladd Fernau, 78, died Monday. Mrs. Fernau was the widow of George C. L. Fernau, Sr. Born in Blackville, she was the daughter of the late John Albert and Essie Whaley Ladd. She was a member of St. Michael's Episcopal Church in Charleston and was a homemaker. Survivors include: daughter, Mary E. W. Fernau of Ladson; son and daughter-in-law, John J. C. and Wendy Fernau of Hannahan; grandchild, Emma Fernau. Her son George C. L. Fernau, Jr. predeceased her.

Lynda Smith Crawford Cooper, 59, of Macedonia, an employee with Mentor Clinical Care Services, died Saturday at her residence.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m., Tuesday, at Victory Baptist Church. Burial, directed by RUSSELL FUNERAL CHAPEL, will be in Oak Grove Pentecostal Holiness Church cemetery.
Mrs. Cooper was born December 19, 1942, in Simpson County, Miss., a daughter of the Reverend E.C. Smith and Allie Hilton Smith. She was a graduate of Macedonia High School. She was a member and musician at Victory Baptist Church. She was the widow of Paul Thomas Crawford.
Surviving are her husband, Charles S. Cooper of Macedonia; father, the Reverend E.C. Smith of Macedonia; son, Duane Crawford of Macedonia; daughter-in-law, Samantha Faulk Crawford of Macedonia; two grandchildren, Whitney Crawford and Casey Crawford, both of Macedonia.
