John Vernon Graves, Jr., 60, of Charleston, died Saturday, August 10, 2002, at a local hospital. He was born in Savannah, GA to the late John Vernon and Mildred Louise Douglas Graves, Sr. He worked as an electrical contractor in Georgia and Charleston. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Leona Hinely Graves, three sons, John Howard Graves of St. Mary's, GA, Robert Troy Graves of Phoenix City, AL, David Christopher Graves of Bremerton, WA, a brother, Ralph Edward Graves of Savannah, GA, a niece, Shea Graves of Savannah, GA, and nine grandchildren. WALKER, William
GEORGETOWN- William Benjamin (Ben) Walker, 70, died Sunday, August 11, 2002 in Medical University of South Carolina Hospital in Charleston.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, August 13, 2002 at 3:00 p.m. in PennyRoyal Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Officiating will be Rev. Luford O. Pope and Rev. Billy Baker.
He was born July 20, 1932 in McClellanville, a son of the late Thomas Wilson Walker and Louise Martin Walker.
He was a Tug Boat Captain with Marine Industries for fifteen years and later retired from Georgetown Steel Corp. He was a U.S. Marine Korean War Veteran and a member of VFW Post 6444 in Georgetown. He was a faithful part of Cornerstone Baptist Church.
Surviving are: his wife, Ethel M. Walker; four sons, William T. (Buck) Walker and Quintin (Arnie) Walker both of Georgetown, Sgt. Dennis Glenn Walker of Hemingway and Quincey (Ronnie) Walker of Loris: two daughters, Janet W. Morris of Georgetown and Bonnie Gail W. Woodbury of Andrews; four brothers, Woodrow Walker of Florence, Wade H. Walker of Andrews, Frank Walker of Conway and Dorman Walker of Georgetown; three sisters, Helen W. Driggers of Summerville, Ruth W. Zurcher and Jannie W. Yarborough both of Georgetown; seventeen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a son, Timothy Walker; brothers, Allen Walker, Pete Walker and two infant brothers.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday at GRAHAM FUNERAL HOME.

MOREMAN, William
William Walter Moreman, of Mt. Pleasant, died Saturday, August 10, 2002, at Roper Hospital. He was born November 11, 1946 in Bedford, Ohio. He attended Miami University of Ohio. He was the owner of Finishing Touch Woodworking and a Master finish carpenter. In addition to his skill with carpentry, he was an avid billiards player and founder of the Thursday Pong Group.
Surviving are his wife, Nancy; two sisters, Virginia Bacon of Everett, WA, and Sue Kiley of Savannah, GA; three nephews, Trey Bailey of Savannah, GA, Ed Bacon of Granite Falls, WA, and Kurt Bacon of Renton, WA; niece, Magan Bailey of Savannah, GA.

PRIDMORE, Thomas
GREENVILLE, S.C. - Thomas Rudolph Pridmore, 78, of 503 Bear Drive, died Saturday, August 10, 2002.
Born in Pelzer, he was the husband of Nellie Kellett Pridmore for 60 years and the son of the late George Levi and Emma Johnson Pridmore.
Mr. Pridmore was a U.S. Army Veteran of W.W.II, and he was retired from Coca-Cola Service after 38 years of service.
He was a member of Duncan Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon. He was a member of Monaghan Lodge #251 and held a 32nd degree.
Surviving in addition to his wife, a daughter, Nellita P. DuBose and her husband, Richard of Summerville; a daughter-in-law, Gayle Carter Pridmore of Simpsonville; a brother, George Pridmore of Greenville; four grandchildren, Todd (Kerin) Pridmore of Anchorage, Alaska, Shanna (Jay) Yown of Greenville, Ragan and Taryn DuBose of Charleston and three great-grandchildren, Maura Pridmore, Hayden and Braclyn Yown. He was predeceased by a son, Donnie T. Pridmore, two sisters and six brothers.
Services will be held Tuesday at 12 noon at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest Chapel, with burial in Graceland cemetery West.
Visitation will be Tuesday, 10:30 to 11:45 a.m., prior to the service at the funeral home.
Honorary pallbearers will be Steadfast Sunday School Class of Duncan Baptist Church.

MORGAN, Walter
Walter Endell Morgan, 78, passed away on August 11, 2002.
A memorial service will be on Wednesday, August 14, 2002, at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home, at 2 p.m. with inurnment to be held at a later date in Carolina Memorial Park.
Mr. Morgan was born on May 9, 1924, in Ashville, N.C., the only son of the late Walter Edward and Esther Carter Morgan. He graduated from Woodfin High School and attended Mars Hill College before joining the Army in 1943. After serving his country in Europe for the remainder of World War II, he attended North Carolina State University. He retired from the Charleston Naval Shipyard in 1987 after nearly 32 years of service as an electrical technician. Mr. Morgan was a lifelong railroad enthusiast and also enjoyed woodcrafting, creating things for his family.
Mr. Morgan is survived by his wife of 50 years, Margie McFee Maogan; a sister, Kathryn Wilds of Ashville, N.C.; children, Marilyn (Mark) Lewis, Edward (Sabrina) Morgan, and Debra Rhoad all of North Charleston, and Frank Rhoad of James Island; and eight grandchildren.
