Lina Mae Inabinett Bryant, 78, wife of James E. "Jim" Bryant of Ravenel, died Friday in a St. George nursing home.
Funeral services will be this (Sunday) afternoon at 4:30 PM at James A. Dyal Funeral Home Chapel in Summerville. Burial will be in Magnolia cemetery in Reevesville.

Mrs. Bryant was born September 14, 1923, in Branchville, SC, a daughter of the late Roland Monroe Inabinett and Annie Maybell Thompson Inabinett.
She was a graduate of St. Paul's High School and was a retired bookkeeper with the Exchange Bank of Charleston. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ravenel.
Surviving in addition to her husband of Ravenel are: son Roland Edward "Skeeter" Bryant of Ravenel; daughter Ann "Cookie" Weathers and her husband Gene of Reevesville; brothers, Louie Thomas Inabinett of Greenville, Robert Tully Inabinett of Hollywood; grandchildren, Bryan Weathers of Harleyville, Edward Bryant of Charleston, Derek Weathers of Reevesville, Ashley Bryant of Charleston.

LANGSTON, Jack
Lt. Col Jack Carpenter Langston, USAF (Ret.) 68, of Summerville, husband of Annie-Jane Kelley Langston, died Friday morning in Bon-Secours St. Francis Hospital, Charleston.
Funeral services will be held this afternoon at 3 o'clock in Bethany United Methodist Church, Summerville. Burial, with full military honors, will be in Magnolia cemetery, Charleston.

Mr. Langston was born January 3, 1943, in Florence, a son of the late Carroll E. Langston and Thelma Carpenter Langston. He grew up in Hartsville, and graduated with honors from Clemson College in 1956 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Entomology. He was also a graduate of the University of North Dakota, receiving a master degree in Public Administration. He was a United States Air Force veteran, having served in Europe, Korea, and Vietnam. Lt. Col Langston served as an Air Traffic Controller, a Command Pilot, Forward Air Controller, and Strategic Missile Launch Officer. He was a member of Summerville Rotary Club, Coastal Carolina Executive Council of Boy Scouts of America, advisory board for the Salvation Army, charter member of the Dadaellans: Swamp Fox Chapter, American War Orphans Network, and was a volunteer with Meals on Wheels of Summerville. He was a life member of the National Eagle Scout Association and received the Silver Beaver Award in 2001. He was and active member of Bethany United Methodist Church. He retired from Dorchester County in 1999 having served 7 ½ years as County Administrator.
Surviving are: his wife of Summerville; son SFC John "Jack" and his wife SFC Gerri Lynn Langston of Ft. Benning, GA; daughters, Sally-Ann and her husband John Warren of Mt. Pleasant, S.C., Magdeleine and her husband LTC Stephen Wilkins of Ft. Campbell, KY, Elizabeth and her husband Dr. Timothy Jones of Charleston, SC; grandchildren, Andrew and Claire Margaret Wilkins of Ft. Campbell, KY, Grayson, Carson, and Langston Jones of Charleston, SC, Parker and Annie-Jane Warren of Mt. Pleasant, SC; brother Jerry W. Langston of Florence, SC; sister Claire Marchand of Battle Ground, WA.
