ARCHEY, Viola
Viola Davison Archey, 80, of Moncks Corner, died Friday at a North Charleston hospital.
The funeral will be on Tuesday, in the Evans and Miller Funeral Home, Poteau, Oklahoma, at a time to be announced later by RUSSELL FUNERAL CHAPEL, Moncks Corner. Burial will be in Fairhill cemetery, Cameron, Oklahoma.
Mrs. Archey was born February 6, 1922 in Elkland, Missouri, a daughter of Jessie Ores Davison and Ottie Reeves Davison. She was the widow of Iva Lee Archey.
Surviving are two sons: Phillip McDonald and his wife Maxine McDonald of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Clifford Jones and his wife Karen Jones of Columbus, Georgia; two daughters: Glena F. Herring and her husband Leon W. Herring of Moncks Corner, who were her caregivers, and Lydia Hall and her husband Barrington Hall of Tacoma, Washington; a brother, Edmond Davison and his wife Alice Davison of Modesto, California; a sister-in-law, Bea Davison of Lindsay., California; a brother-in-law, Jack Archey and his wife Bettie Archey of Wister, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.

TIMMONS, Charles
Entered into eternal rest on the morning of August 9, 2002, Charles, "Al" Allan Timmons, residence John's Island, SC. Mr. Timmons was born January 18, 1953 in Charleston, SC, the son of William M. Timmons, Jr. and Helen McKay Timmons. He was a retired assistant occupational therapist. He attended Trident Technical College and was a member of Harborview Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by: one daughter, Alexis Leigh Timmons and two grandchildren, of John's Island; his mother; one brother, William M. Timmons, III; one sister, Janet Lynn Spaulding, all of James Island.

BOLCHOZ, Beverly
Beverly Dianne Mullins Bolchoz (our Angel on Earth), 66, of Charleston died Wednesday, August 7th at a local hospital. She was born in Williams, S.C. to the late Wallace J. and Freddye E. Carter Mullins. Mrs. Bolchoz was retired Manager of Dukes School of Clay and Fine Arts, and attended Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Mrs. Bolchoz was also a member of the Daughters of the Confederacy. She is predeceased by her son, Bernard A. Bolchoz, III, and her brother, Wallace Jackson Mullins, Jr. Surviving Mrs. Bolchoz is her son, Michael F. Bolchoz of Charleston; a daughter, Cheri Bolchoz of Charleston; a brother, Wallace Rodney Mullins and his wife Barbara of Beaufort, S.C.; and three grandchildren, Tiffany Dianne Bolchoz, Regina Johnson, and Kristopher Johnson. A Liturgy of Christian burial will be held at 11 AM Saturday at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with burial in Live Oak Memorial Gardens. KRUPP, Jr., Smith
Beloved uncle and brother, Smith Frederick Krupp, Jr., of Charleston, passed away at St. Frances Hospital, early Thursday morning, August 8, 2002.
Born in Atlanta, Ga., March 6, 1916, Mr. Krupp was the only son of the late Smith Frederick Krupp and the late Lula Belle (Nicholson) Krupp.
Mr. Krupp graduated from Tuscaloosa High School, Tuscaloosa, Ala., in 1934. He attended the University of Alabama and the Citadel. He was a member of the Unitarian Church in Charleston for 50 years.
Mr. Krupp was a retired Engineer from the Charleston Naval Shipyard where he worked for 34 years. He retired on April 30, 1973, but worked with some time with the Stanwick Group.
Mr. Krupp was active in life and held the time spent with family members close to his heart. His love and care of family and friends was never ending. Mr. Krupp was a kind and giving man who touched the hearts of all he knew and met.
Mr. Krupp is survived by his beloved sister, Mrs. Mary N. Battle, wife of Mr. Joe L. Battle, of Birmingham, Ala. Loved ones who cherish his memory are, Patricia White, Nancy Inman, and Robert F. White of Charleston; Betsy B. Devault of Hemingway, S.C.; Robert Benson of Toledo, Ohio; Susan Urick of Seattle, Wash.; Fred Howton of Olney, Md.; James Howton of Maryland; Joe Battle Jr., Donald Battle; Fred Battle; James Battle and Frank Battle of Birmingham, Ala. Mr. Krupp will be sadly missed by these relatives and many friends, including Mrs. Frances Holey of James Island.

ST. MATTHEWS - Richard B. Bair, Sr., 73, died Thursday, August 8, 2002, at a Columbia hospital. Graveside funeral services will be 4 p.m., Sunday, August 10, 2002, at the family cemetery off Hwy. 601, with Rev. Max Kaster officiating.
Pallbearers will be Jeffery French, Joshua French, Lee Hollingsworth, and Ted Ficek.
Mr. Bair was born, January 3, 1929, in Orangeburg, a son of the late J.S. Bair, Sr., and Goldie Vessey Bair. He was retired from the Greenwood Mills Orangeburg Plant. Mr. Bair attended Calhoun Baptist Church and was a member of the former Garden City Baptist Church in Orangeburg. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of W.W.II.
Survivors include, his wife, Mrs. Jean Baltzegar Bair, of the home; daughter and son-in-law, Mrs. Jerry (Debbie) French, St. Matthews; son and daughter-in-law, Richard B. "Rick" Bair, Jr., and Paula Hutto Bair, St. Matthews; three brothers, Z.A. Bair, Orangeburg, Earl Bair, Mt. Pleasant, and Gary Bair, James Island; three sisters, Dorothy Vickery, Mildred Vickery, and Margaret Shaffer, all of Orangeburg; and four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

MAYER, Helen
Helen Thompson Mayer, age 76, of Summerville, SC, died August 8, 2002. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne G. Mayer, her daughter, Jennifer Gayle Mayer Doyle, and her brother, Dale E. Thompson.
Mrs. Mayer was born June 26, 1926, at Bethalto, IL, the daughter of Reuben Glenn Thompson and Elizabeth Fowler. She graduated from Mattoon, IL, High School. After marriage to Wayne G. Mayer, she lived many years in Toledo and Fostonia, OH, before moving to Summerville in 1982.
She was and active member of St. Luke's Evangelical Lutheran Church of Summerville. She was retired from Southern Bell. She was active in Southern Bell Pioneers, Spoleto, and various city and neighborhood activities.
She is survived by grandsons Ronald Mayer Doyle and his fiancée, Heather, Wayne Robert Doyle, Shawn Christopher Doyle; great-grandson Allen Mayer Doyle, all of Summerville. Also surviving are her sister, Dorothy Thompson Stoops and brother-in-law Ernest S. Stoops of Gainesville, GA; and sister-in-law Irene Manzolillo Thompson of Willard, OH.

He attended Clemson University and was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church. He was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church. He was a member of the James Island Yacht Club, the Civitan Club, West Ashley Outboard Motor Club and the Power Squadron.
He is survived by his wife of Mount Pleasant, S.C.
ALEXANDER, Thomas

Mr. Alexander was born October 3, 1934, in Charleston, S.C., the son of Marion Bishop Alexander and Ferdinand Williams Alexander. He was a graduate of Washington and Lee University, served with the U.S. Navy and retired from the United States Naval Reserves as a Captain. He was the Chief Executive Officer of Advertising Service Agency.
He is survived by his wife of Isle of Palms, S.C.; three daughters, Sarah A. Huey and her husband Marshall of Charleston, S.C., Patricia B. Zemke and her husband Michael of Murrells Inlet, S.C., and Allison E. Bridges and her fiancé Bright Williamson of Mount Pleasant, S.C.; two sons, Thomas W. Alexander, Jr, and his wife Elizabeth of Mount Pleasant, S.C., and E. Prioleau Alexander and his wife Heidi of Isle of Palms, S.C.; five grandchildren, Thomas W. Alexander, III, Gordon A. Huey, James B. Huey, M. Hayden Zemke and Elizabeth N. Zemke.
