ROLLINGS, Mary
Mary Vastie, 68, of Johns Island, S.C. and widow of Kenneth Rollings died at a local nursing home on October 11, 2002. Ms. Rollings was born on October 5, 1934 in Royston, Ga. She was daughter of the late Wade and Lillie S. Jordan.
Ms. Rollings is survived by one daughter, Millie Lambert of Johns Island, S.C. and four sons, Buddy Rich of John Island, S.C.; Roger Rich, Bobby Rich, and Wade Rollings, all of Hanahan, S.C. She is also survived by six loving grandchildren and 2 loving great-grandchildren.

Dorothy Womack Watts, 76, of Broughton Road, Moncks Corner, S.C., a former project manager for J. A. Jones Construction Co., died Sunday in a North Charleston hospital.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday morning, Oct. 16, 2002, in the Moncks Corner United Methodist Church. Mrs. Watts was born Oct. 21, 1925, in Ida, Louisiana, a daughter of Artie N. Womack and Gertrude Murphy Womack. She was a member of the Moncks Corner United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Guilds-Scott Sunday School Class. She also attended the Shady Grove United Methodist Church, Maggie Valley, NC. Mrs. Watts was the former head bookkeeper of the Berkeley, Colleton, & Dorchester Economic Development Corporation and a retired employee of the Berkeley County School District.
Surviving are, her husband, William A. "Bill" Watts; two daughters, Tina M. Cooper of Charleston and Mikky Caison of Moncks Corner; a son, Loren Ragan Simmons of Jacksonville, FL; a sister, Rose Mary Bass of Okeechobee, Fl; a brother, Ragan M. Womack of Jacksonville, FL; and five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

PADGETT, Jennie
WILLIAMS - Jennie Key Padgett, 90, widow of Robert Galletly Padgett, Sr., died Sunday at Colleton Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, at Williams United Methodist Church, conducted by Rev. David Cox. Interment will be in Risher cemetery, directed by the FRED PARKER FUNERAL HOME.
Mrs. Padgett was born August 23, 1912, in Colleton County, a daughter of the late Warren E. Key and Eleanor Adams Key. She was a member of Williams United Methodist Church, the Jeudi Study Club, the Daughters of the American Revolution and the French Hugenot Society.
Surviving are, a son, Melville G. Padgett of Williams, two sisters, Anna Key of Columbia and Mary K. Rentz of Branchville, two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Surviving are her husband, A.W. "Will" Utsey, Jr., of Norway, a son and daughter-in-law, A.W. "Toby" Utsey, III, and Robin Utsey of Barnwell, daughter and son-in-law, Susan U. and Steven Jarrett of Lugoff, sisters and brothers-in-law, Patricia and Ed Chitty of Denmark, Elaine and Joe Haigler of Cameron, sister-in-law, Barbara Wright of Ehrhardt, brother-in-law, Jimmy (Doris) Utsey of Lane, S.C., nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Thomas Wright.

Ella Theresa Simmons, 41, of Dorchester, S.C., died Friday, October 11, 2002, in Charleston, S.C. The funeral will be at 1 p.m., Wednesday, in Greater St. Paul A.M.E. Church. Burial, directed by BROWN AND SON FUNERAL HOME, will be in church cemetery.
Ms. Simmons was born in Dorchester, S.C., a daughter of the late Otto Simmons and the late Clinell Lucas Simmons. She graduated from Harleyvile-Ridgeville High School. She was a member of Greater St. Paul A.M.E. Church.
Surviving are a son, Antwon Simmons, one brother, Arty Simmons, both of the home, one sister, Jacqueline (Alfonso) Calvin of Dorchester, S.C.

Mary Kate McLoy Jervey died on Sunday, October 13, 2002, at a local nursing home. Mrs. Jervey was born in Charleston, S.C., to the late James and Florence Mitchell McLoy. She attended Ashley Hall and was a graduate of Bishop England High School. She was a member of St. Mary of the Annunciation Catholic Church. Mrs. Jervey is survived by her husband of 60 years, James Leroy Jervey; sister-in-law, Cecil Jervey; one nephew and wife, Dr. and Mrs. Wilbur Wise; one niece, Mrs. Katherine Hoy Wise; great-niece, Michelle Wise and great-nephew, Scott Wise. NICKLES, Thomas
MONTGOMERY, ALA. - Thomas Newton Nickles, II, M.D., 57, resident of Montgomery, husband of Elizabeth Anne Nickles, died October 11, 2002, at his home.
Born in Greenwood County, S.C., he was a son of the late William Allen and Sue Cobb Nickles. He was a graduate of Clemson University and the South Carolina Medical School. He served in the US Air Force.
Dr. Nickles practiced medicine in Montgomery.
Surviving in addition to his wife of the home are a daughter, Elizabeth Lee Nickles of Birmingham and a son, Thomas Newton Nickles, III, of Montgomery; a sister, Anne Nickles Snoddy of Greenwood; two brothers, William Allen Nickles, Jr., of Hodges and Philip Raymond Nickles of Greenwood.
Funeral services were conducted 11 a.m., Monday, at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Birmingham by Rev. Ron Stoker.
Honorary pallbearers were Lawrence Pierce, Emory Erb, Daniel Huitt, John Giddens, Tommy Klinnen, Clyde Elliott, Dr. James McRae, Charles Hopper, and Dr. David Bronner.
Graveside services will be conducted, 11 a.m., Wednesday, in Oakbrook Memorial Park in Greenwood, with Rev. Bob Piephoff officiating.
The body is at Blyth Funeral Home in Greenwood where the family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:30 Wednesday morning.
