Mrs. Pratt was born May 30, 1921 in Charleston, S.C., a daughter of the late Leander Landrum and Mamie Wolfe Landrum. She was a homemaker and a member of Summerville Baptist Church. Mrs. Pratt was a master Bridge player.
Survivors include her two sons, John H. Pratt, Jr. of Roanoke Va. and Robert Pratt of Summerville; two daughters, Joanne Pratt-Dannals of Jacksonville, Fla. and Katherine Pratt of Summerville; two sisters, Lucille Fields of Camden, S.C. and Lillian Perkins of Charleston, S.C.; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

WHITE, Betty
Miss. Betty Ann White 56 of #38 Dogwood Street in Brunson, died Tuesday night at her residence after an extended illness.
Miss. White was born in Washington, D.C. June 13, 1946 a daughter of James Philip White and the late Frances Ann Ferguson. She was a former Math Teacher at Herndon High School in Herndon, Virginia and was a graduate of George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia and received her Masters Degree from V.P.I. University, in Blacksburg, Virginia. She had attended the Presbyterian Church.
Surviving besides her Father of Fairfax are: two brothers: William E. White of Brunson and J. Richard White of Baltimore, Maryland. There is one niece and one nephew.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday in the Chapel of Adams-Green Funeral Home in Herndon, Virginia, with burial in the National Memorial Park in Falls Church, Virginia.

Mr. Gissell, Jr., was born September 15, 1955 in Charleston, S.C., the son of LeRoy Carson Gissell and Wilhermena Hiatt Gissell. He was a former mail room clerk with the Post and Courier. He attended Bishop England High School and Trident Technical College. He was a member of Nativity Catholic Church.
He is survived by two brothers: Kevin Patrick Gissell of Hollywood, S.C. and Darin Christopher Gissell of Charleston, S.C.; three aunts: Caroline Hiatt Ramsey, Trudy G. Smith and Nancy Gissell all of Charleston, S.C.; one uncle: Robert A. Gissell of Charleston, S.C. and nieces and cousins. He was preceded in death by his brother, William Hanke Gissell in 1974 and his sister, Deborah Rene Gissell in 1970.
