HOFFMAN, Amanda
SPRINGFIELD - Mrs. Amanda Elizabeth Hoffman, age 86, died Saturday, July 27, 2002.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, July 29, 2002, at CULLER-MCALHANY FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, with Rev. Carl Koon, Rev. Larry Jones, and Rev. Todd Felkel officiating. Burial will be at Calvary Baptist Church cemetery.
Mrs. Hoffman was born in Orangeburg County, a daughter of the late Harry and Bessie Boltin Robinson. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and taught Sunday school for a number of years, and a Gold Star Mother, and was married
to the late Virgil Hoffman.
Survivors include, five daughters, Verdie Williams of Springfield, Shelby Jean Amaker of North, Gloria Judy of Ladson, Mary Westbury of St. George, Joan Almond of New Ellenton; two sons, Thurman Hoffman of Salley, Willie Hoffman of Swansea; predeceased by a daughter, Evelyn Corbett and son Shuler Hoffman, 18 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
The family is at the home, 1431 Beachwood Road, Springfield, and will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m., Sunday, at CULLER-MCALHANY FUNERAL HOME IN NORTH.

Mary Francis Riddle Smith, of Charleston, S.C., died on June 15, 2002 at a Nursing Home in Beaufort, S.C. Mrs. Smith was the wife of the late Franklin Hampton Smith, Jr.

DRUCKENMILLER, Eula
Eula Lee Graham Druckenmiller, age 80, wife of Richard A. Duckenmiller, died on Saturday, July 27, 2002, after an extended illness.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 30, 2002, at 2 p.m., in the Carolina Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow in Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Monday, July 29, 2002, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home, 7113 Rivers Ave., N. Charleston.
Mrs. Druckenmiller was a homemaker and attended the Church of God.
Surviving are her husband, Richard A. Druckenmiller of North Charleston, two sons, Howard Butler of Louisville, Ky., Frankk Butler of Flagers Beach, Fla., two sisters, Trudy G. Adcock of Mississippi, Rosalee G. Spobert of Jacksonville, N.C., one brother, Eugene Graham of James Island, and five grandchildren.

ELEY, Joe
Senior Chief Machinist's Mate Joe Eley, U.S. Navy, Ret., 65, of Jolly Lane, Moncks Corner, S.C., died Saturday in a North Charleston hospital.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m., Monday morning, July 29, 2002, in the CHAPEL OF DIAL-MURRAY FUNERAL HOME, MONCKS CORNER. Interment will be in Berkeley Memorial Gardens. Senior Chief Eley was born, November 10, 1936, in Donaldsonville, Ga., a son of Lois Eley Immusa. He is a Navy veteran of Vietnam and Korea. He was a retired shift supervisor at the Jeffries Hydroelectric Plant. He was a Mason, a member of the Scottish Rite and a member of the VFW. He was a member of the Calvary Southern Baptist Church, Bainbridge, Ga.
Surviving are, his wife, Sandra Peagler Eley; his mother of Summerville; a son, Hampton Joe Eley of N. Charleston; two daughters, Dena T. Bailey of Hartwell, Ga., and Katherine Jan Williams of N. Charleston; and a granddaughter, Charlotte B. Williams.
