Funeral services are 1 p.m., Wednesday, in the Marvin R. Mattison Memorial Chapel, D.B. Walker & Co. Funeral Home; burial in Westview cemetery. The body will be on view at the funeral home, Wednesday, from 9 a.m. until the hour of the service.

MITCHAM, George
George Dewitt Mitcham, 71, of Summerville, husband of Nannie Belle Collier Mitcham, died Monday morning in a North Charleston hospital.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 6, 2002, at 10 o'clock, in James A. Dyal Funeral Home Chapel, Summerville. Entombment will be in Dorchester Memory Gardens, Summerville.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 until 8 o'clock this evening.
Mr. Mitcham was born on January 11, 1931, in Springfield, S.C., a son of the late William Marion Mitcham and Cora Judy Mitcham. He attended schools of St. George, Ridgeville, and North Charleston. He served as a Private in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict where he received the Purple Heart on August 2, 1950. He was a retired Missile Handler with Polaris Missile Facility at the Charleston Naval Weapons Station. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Jedburg.
Surviving are, his wife, son and daughter-in-law, George M. & Lee Mitcham of Forestville, Md.; granddaughter, Brandy L. Mitcham Kane of Douglasville, Ga.; two brothers, William Mitcham, II, of Ridgeville, Maurice Mitcham of Summerville; two sisters, Marjorie Murray of Summerville, Shirley Whetstone of North Charleston.

Entered into eternal rest on the morning of February 3, 2002, Estelle Murray Carroll, widow of William J. Carroll, Sr., both of James Island, S.C. Mrs. Carroll was born March 1, 1917, in Moncks Corner, S.C., the daughter of Bascom F. Murray and Wilber Ward Murray. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister and friend. She spent her life, both in the work place and at a home, being a friend and taking care of everyone else before herself.
Surviving are her sons and their wives, S.W. (Boots) Carroll (Carol) of Summerville, S.C., W.J. (Bill) Carroll, Jr. (Sheila) of Cross, S.C., one sister, Mildred Murray Saunders of James Island, S.C., seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
FOSTER, Martha
Martha J. Foster, 74, of West Point, Va., died Sunday, February 3, 2002. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Frank Foster; three sons, Dennis Foster and his wife Glenda of Johns Island, South Carolina; Calvin Foster and his wife Shiela of Lake Ridge, Va.; and Bryan Foster of Williamsburg; a sister, Frances Servonsky of Norfolk; a brother, Stanley Janosky of Tampa, Fla.; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held, Wednesday, 11 a.m., at VINCENT FUNERAL HOME, WEST POINT, VA., with burial in Sunny Slope cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight, 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
ROSA, Helen
GEORGETOWN - Helen Rosa, 96, died Sunday, February 3, 2002, at her residence.
Miss Rosa was born at Plantersville in Georgetown County on June 2, 1905, a daughter of the late Franz Delamer Rosa and Julia Louise Chamberlain Rosa. She was an honor graduate of Winyah High School and a 1925 graduate of Winthrop College. Miss Rosa taught in a number of schools in S.C. After returning to Georgetown, she taught school for a number of years and retired as principal of Kensington School in June of 1970. Miss Rosa was a communicant of Prince George, Winyah, Episcopal Church.
Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Louise Rosa Johnson of Columbia; two nephews, David T. Johnson of Columbia and Joseph A. Johnson of Raleigh, N.C.; a niece, Mrs. Edward M. (Helen) Royall of Camden; five great-nieces, Mrs. Waddell H. (Harriet) Gilmore, III and Mrs. Harold E. (Helen) Trask, both of Mt. Pleasant, Mrs. Henry P. (Allison) Wall of Columbia, Mrs. Randolph S. (Mary) Wilgis of Baltimore, Md., and Miss Carolina Louise Johnson of Raleigh, N.C.; two great-nephews, David J. Johnson of Greensboro, N.C. and Christopher S. Johnson of Greenville, N.C.; and 13 great-great-nieces and nephews.
Miss Rosa was predeceased by a sister, Julia Allison Rosa.
Funeral services will be at 11 o'clock Wednesday morning, February 6, 2002, in Prince George, Winyah, Episcopal Church. Officiating will be the Rev. Paul C. Fuener. Burial will follow in the Churchyard under the direction of the GEORGETOWN CHAPEL OF MAYER FUNERAL HOME.

Mrs. Davidson was born May 9, 1934 in Dorchester, S.C., a daughter of Edward Muckenfuss and the late Claire Muckelvaney Muckenfuss. She was a member of Givhans Pentecostal Holiness Church.
She is survived by her father of Ridgeville, S.C.; a daughter, Zebra Akehurst and a son, Carl Davidson, both of Ridgeville, S.C., a brother, Edward Muckenfuss, Jr. of Ladson, S.C., five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Surviving are two sisters, Mary Isa Cartwright of Goose Creek and Loretta C. Speissegger of Summerville; and five brothers, Robert A. Clark, David H. Clark, H. Bill Clark, Jr., Rheny N. Clark and Clyde R. Clark all of Summerville.
COLSON, Hardins
WALTERBORO - Mr. Hardins Colson, 79, of 205 Wilson Street died Sunday at his residence. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Bedon Baptist Church cemetery with Rev. John Carigan officiating and directed by the Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Home.
Mr. Colson was born in Colleton County, a son of the late Toby Colson and Sarah Craven Colson. He was a retired employee with Asten Hill Manufacturing Company and was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Hazel Theus Colson, a brother-in-law, J. Mouzon Smoak of Round O and several nephews and nieces.
