COTTAGEVILLE - Mrs. Elouise Addison Free, 85 year old widow of Linwood Vance Free, died Thursday at Colleton Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, at the graveside in Cottageville cemetery, conducted by Rev. Wayne Major and directed by the Fred Parker Funeral Home.
Mrs. Free was born October 10, 1916, in Cottageville. She was a member of Cottageville United Methodist Church.
Surviving are, a son and daughter-in-law, Bobby and Mott Free of Walterboro, three grandsons, Richard Robbie and Matt Free and three great-grandchildren.

BENJAMIN, Harold
HAMPTON - Mr. Harold Lewis "Shorty" Benjamin, 74, of Hampton died Monday in the Trident Medical Center after a short illness.
Born Oct. 24, 1927 in Suffern, N.Y., he was the son of the late Harold and Julia Benjamin. He was a musician performing with Shorty's Country Classic Band and was a member of the Hampton Church of God.
He is survived by his wife, Lois Tuten Benjamin of the home; 2 sons: Edward Benjamin of Brentwood, Tenn. and Michael Benjamin of Alabama; 2 daughters: Patti Walsh of Dothan, Ala. and Sherri Howard of Suffern, N.Y.; 2 step-sons: James Tuten of Hampton and Timothy Reid of Moncks Corner; 5 step-daughters: Ann Ayer of Hampton, Rebecca Polk of Moncks Corner, Nancy Donahue of Brunson, Susan Tsitlidis of Varnville, and Martha Terry of Grays. There are nine grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, 15 step-grandchildren, and 14 step-great-grandchildren.

Kurt Reisert, 34, died Wednesday at his residence in Mt. Pleasant. Kurt was a Representative for Pfizer. He attended Indiana University Business School (where he was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon) and the University of Kentucky Dental School. He is survived by his parents, Bill and Maria Reisert, his grandmother, Ruth D. Reisert, three sisters, Trina Barbercheck, Kiki Strother and Heidi Reisert, and four brothers, Bill IV, Greg, Nick and Peter Reisert. WARD, Belton
KINGSTREE - Rev. Belton Rhett Ward, 74, died Wednesday in a Florence hospital after an illness.
Rev. Ward was born in Williamsburg County, a son of the late LeRoy Edwards and Eunice Eaddy Ward. He was a graduate of Indiantown High School. He was a retired plumber and former superintendent of public works for the Town of Kingstree. For more than 39 years, Rev. Ward was a Minister in the Pentecostal Holiness Conference, having pastored Churches at Spring Pond, Oak Ridge, Prospect, Sandy Bay, Kingstree and Barrineau. He attended Barrineau Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Surviving are, his wife, Mrs. Barbara Rodgers Ward of Kingstree; two sons, Gregg Ward of Summerville and George (Laura) Ward of Kingstree; one daughter, Cynthia (Milton) Gantt of Conway; one granddaughter, Mandy Gantt of Conway; three brothers, Marvin Ward and Thurmond Ward, both of Kingstree and Rev. Robert Ward of Columbia; two sisters, Vermell W. Douglas of Hemingway and Lou Dell W. Mishoe of Kingstree. He was preceded in death by sons, Belton Rhett Ward and an infant son; two sisters, Anna Bell W. Benton and Elizabeth Elliott and a daughter-in-law, Lynda Ward.
Funeral services will be 3 p.m., Friday, in the Williamsburg Funeral Home Chapel, with Burial in Kingstree Memorial Gardens.
