The relatives and friends of Howard M. Mr. Quarry is survived by his wife, Nesta E. Quarry; daughters, Sharon M. Fisher (Dr. Courtney M. Fisher) and Dale J. Quarry; grandchildren, Rollan P. Fisher (Barbara Fisher) and Talya D. Fisher; sisters, Vera Quarry, Daphne Campbell, Zada Campbell, Barbara Quarry; brother, Louis Quarry; nephews, nieces, and other relatives.

HUDSON, JR., Richard
MYRTLE BEACH - Richard Bittings Hudson, Jr., age 55, of 66th Ave. North, died Sunday, October 6, 2002 at his home.
Born August 10, 2002, 1947 in Norfolk, VA, he was the son of the late Richard R. Hudson, Sr., and Gertrude Wigger Hudson. Mr. Hudson was a 1966 graduate of James Island High School and received his Associate Degree from Palmer College. He was a US Navy Veteran, serving in Vietnam on the USS Argonaut. Mr. Hudson was owner and operator of Signature Events, LTD.
Surviving are his daughter, Kimberly P. Hudson of Mt. Pleasant; son, Richard B. Hudson, III of Mt. Pleasant; three grandchildren, Madison Hudson, Harlee Lynn and Alexander Roe Hudson.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 PM Tuesday at GOLDFINCH FUNERAL HOME, BEACH CHAPEL.
Funeral services will be 2:00, Wednesday, at the funeral home.

WOODWARD, Grace
Grace Althea Woodward, wife of Maximillion Woodward, died Sunday, October 6, 2002 at the Elms Life Care Center, North Charleston, SC.
Mrs. Woodward was born September 4, 1928 in Connellsville, PA, to Jesse and Ethel Harper. She is survived by one brother, Darrell Harper, two sisters, Jessie Reese, Amanda Harper; three children, Shelton Woodward of Layton, Utah, Manuel Woodward of Brighton, PA, and Marvin Woodward of Charleston, SC. She has seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Grace and her husband Max have lived with their son and his family in Charleston for 4 years. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church and was involved in the Young at Heart Sunday School Class. Prior to coming to SC, Mrs. Woodward attended Bible Baptist Church in Mars, PA. Throughout her years, she had been actively involved in Children's Bible Clubs, taught Sunday School and helped with Awana. She enjoyed life, friends, and family to the fullest.
A memorial service will be held at Northside Baptist Church on Tuesday, October 8, 2002 at 11:00 AM. She will be laid to rest at Sylvania Hills cemetery in Rochester, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Northside Baptist Church, 7800 Northside Drive, North Charleston, SC 29418.

Mr. Dator was born April 9, 1934, in Manila the Philippine Islands, the son of Tomas Dator and Esperanza Torres Dator. Mr. Dator was retired from the United States Navy and a Catholic.
Surviving are his wife of North Charleston, S.C.; a son, James Dator of North Charleston, S.C.; a sister, Flora D. Arrasazo of California; a brother, Alfredo Dator of North Charleston, S.C., and other brothers and sisters in the Philippine Islands.
HUFF, Olivia
Olivia Leatha Johnson Huff, 81, of St. John's Bethel Road, Moncks Corner, S.C., died Monday in a Summerville hospital.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m., Wednesday afternoon, October 9, 2002, in the Chapel of DIAL-MURRAY FUNERAL HOME, MONCKS CORNER. Interment will be in Berkeley Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11 a.m., until the hour of service on Wednesday.
Mrs. Huff was born May 5, 1921, in Moncks Corner, S.C., a daughter of Raleigh Johnson and Ellen Leatha Wren Johnson. She is the widow of Ezra Britt Huff. She was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are, two daughters, Janice L. Stone of Moncks Corner and Betty Medford of Summerville; two sons, J.P. "Buddy" Strickland of Moncks Corner and Rodney Faulling of Summerville; seven sisters, Roberta Miller of N. Charleston, Mae Baskins of Seattle, Wash., Catherine Wren and Martha Murray both of Moncks Corner, Jean Smith of Green Pond, Jeanette Jenkins of Bonneau, and Diane Bradham of Moncks Corner; three brothers, Raleigh Johnson, Jr., of Lockport, La., and Dewey Johnson and LeGrand Johnson both of Macedonia; and eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

RIDGEVILLE, S.C. - Mrs. Sophie Cummings Hartzog, 61, 127 North Main Street, Ridgeville died Monday October 7, 2002 at scene of auto accident on Highway 16 near Jedburg.
Funeral Services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday in the Ridgeville Baptist Church with Rev. Paul Hill officiating. Burial will follow in the Bonnerest cemetery. Mrs. Hartzog was born May 10, 1941 in Ridgeville a daughter of Harry Sheppard Cummings, Sr. and the late Eunice Peagler Cummings. She was a graduate of Harleyville-Ridgeville High School and the Roper Hospital School of Nursing. She was a retired nurse with Dorchester County Health Department. She was a member, church organist, pianist, and Clerk of Ridgeville Baptist Church.
Surviving: Husband, Alfred Franklin Hartzog, Ridgeville, 3 sons, Doug Hartzog, Dorchester, Charlie Hartzog, Ridgeville, and Bobby Hartzog, Santee, her father and step-mother, Harry S. and Mary G. Cummings, Sr. of Ridgeville, 2 brothers, Mike Cummings, and Harry S. Cummings, Jr., both of Ridgeville, a sister, Nettie C. Hill, Eutawville. 2 grandchildren, Holly Marie Hartzog and Devin Hartzog.

Mrs. Meyer was born in Toombs County, Ga., April 29, 1909, the daughter of Robert Hawkins and Mary Elizabeth Hulett Hawkins. She was a member of Pinecrest Baptist Church. She was the past department President of Amvets Auxiliary. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary, Post 24. She was a member of the VFW and the Exxon Club. She participated in the Special Olympics. She was a designer at Creech's Florist and a volunteer at the VA Hospital for many years.
Surviving are one daughter, Delores (Dee) M. Foley of Charleston, S.C.; one adopted son, Raymond Cumbee of Charleston, S.C.; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Meyer was preceded in death by two grandchildren.

Mrs. Foster was born in Maysville, N.C., March 6, 1934, the daughter of Joseph Robert Parsons and Rachel Provow Parsons. She was a retired manager of Bell South. She was a member of Johns Island Presbyterian Church, where she was an active usher and greeter. She was a leader of Morning Circle and the Islanders Group II. She was also a member of the Seabrook Garden Club, the Natural History Club, and the Bell South Pioneer Club. Oleta was also a volunteer for Mt. Zion Elementary School.
Surviving are her husband of Seabrook Island, S.C.; one sister, Marie Renwick of Aiken, S.C.; two brothers, Randolph Parsons of Winston Salem, N.C., and Malcolm (Jerry) Parsons of Mt. Pleasant, S.C.; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.

Harry Carthell Johnson, 82, of Mt. Pleasant, SC, formerly of Florence, SC died Sunday, October 6, 2002 in a local hospital. The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Harry C. Mr. Johnson was born in Williston, SC, a son of Floyd and Lillie Mae Johnson. He lived in Florence, SC for fifty five years and was a member of the VFW, Railroad Engineers Club and the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers. Mr. Johnson was a member of Edisto Baptist Church, Williston, SC and First Baptist Church, Florence, SC. He was a US Navy Veteran of World War II and was stationed in Japan for three years.
He is survived by his wife, Doris Jowers Johnson; one daughter, Harriet Johnson Graham and her husband, Charles Carter Graham, Sr., of Mt. Pleasant, SC; grandson, Charles Carter Graham, Jr. and his wife, Wendy Hartin Graham; one granddaughter, Anne Quincy Graham of Atlanta, GA; one great grandson, Charles Carter Graham, III, three nephews and two nieces.
Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by one sister and two brothers.
