MCCUNE, Ann
GREENWOOD, SC - Ann Camp McCune, 55, resident of 106 Devon Court, wife of W. Chris McCune, Jr., died October 18, 2002 at her home.
Born in Greenwood County, June 22, 1947, she was the daughter of the late W. Hardin and Willie Garren Camp. She was a 1965 graduate of Greenwood High School and was a graduate of Greenwood College of Commerce. She was employed by Greenwood School District #50 as a teacher assistant at Mathews Elementary School.
A member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, she was also a member of the Women's Club of the church and was a member of the church choir. She was a charter member of The Supper Club and was a recipient of the "Golden Apple Award" which is presented by Television Channel 4 for services and dedication in education.
Surviving in addition to her husband of the home are a daughter, Elizabeth Ann McCune of Statesville, NC, two sons, W.C. "Chip" McCune, III and wife Miranda C. McCune of Summerville and John Paul McCune of Lake Wylie, a brother, William G. "Bill" and wife Denise Camp of Greenwood, a sister, Jennie C. and her husband Keith Hudgins of Columbia.
Mrs. McCune was predeceased by a brother, Joe H. McCune.
A mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 11 AM Monday at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Rev. Father Richard Harris and Abbot Placid Solari, OSB, officiating.
Burial will be in Oakbrook Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be nephews, Joe Camp, Jr., Grant Camp, Paul Camp, Andrew Camp, David Camp, Bill Camp, Michael Camp, Thomas Hudgins, and Bobby Kelleher.
Honorary escort will be Curtis Miles, Ken Bennett, James Lawton and Eddie Bartless.
The body is at Blyth Funeral Home where a Christian Wake Service will be conducted at 7 PM Sunday evening.
The family is at the home in Wellington Green and will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday evening immediately following the Wake Service.

FENNELL, Thomas
WALTERBORO - Thomas Franklin Fennell, 76, retired supervisor of Colleton County and retired co-owner of Nu-Way Dry Cleaners, died Saturday at Roper Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., Monday, at the chapel of the FRED PARKER FUNERAL HOME, conducted by Rev. Steve Brown and Rev. Posey Belcher. Interment will be in Live Oak cemetery.
Mr. Fennell was born January 16, 1926, in Walterboro, a son o the late George W. Fennell, Jr., and Ruth Driggers Fennell. He was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church, a charter member of Walterboro Civitan Club, a member of the Colleton County Saddle Club and Unity Lodge #55 A.F.M. He was supervisor of Colleton County from 1977-1984. He attended the University of South Carolina and was a Marine Corp Veteran of World War II, serving in the Pacific Theatre.
Surviving are, his wife of 55 years, Mary Smith Fennell, a son, Tommy Fennell, Jr., of Walterboro, two daughters, Lynn F. Robertson of Walterboro, and Lisa F. Thompson of Monroe, N.C., six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Grace H. Helander of Charleston, died Friday, October 18, in a hospital in Greenwood, S.C. Born in Valdosta, Ga., to the late Alonzo and Eva Dugid Holmes. She was predeceased by her first husband, Henry V. Helander and her second husband, Hutson M. Helander. Surviving Mrs. Helander are her two daughters, Florence Forbes and her husband Robin of Manistee, Michigan, and Vickie Kelley of Greenwood, S.C. Surviving also are six grandchildren, Larry W. Elsey, Jr., Brian Bell, Terri Alexander, Tracy Bell, Michael Bell, and Hannah Helander, and 11 great-grandchildren.
