Entered into eternal rest on October 1, 2002, Mr. Jack A. Bryant, 72, of Charleston, S.C. The beloved son of the late William A. and Hattie Draxy Bryant. He is survived by his wife, Faye Bryant, one sister, Malvina B. Cook of Charleston, two brothers, William A. Bryant of Florence, S.C., and Lawrence A. Bryant of Charleston, three daughters, Sandra Hoffman of Bamberg, S.C., Linda Hall of Charleston, Angela Bryant of Bloomington, Ind., four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

WILSON-BURROWS, C.
PITTSFIELD, ILL. - Mrs. Carolyn "Lyndy" Wilson-Burrows, 48, died Tuesday evening, September 24, 2002, in Jacksonville, Ill. She was born to Charles Gwynne and Carolyn Boykin Wilson on September 11, 1954, in Columbia, S.C. She married
Dr. Wayne R. Burrows on June 17, 1978, in Camden, S.C.
Surviving besides her husband of Jacksonville, Ill., are a son, Christopher Burrows of Charleston, S.C.; two daughters, Emily Burrows and Sarah Burrows of the home; mother, Carolyn Wilson of Camden, S.C.; four sisters, Gwynne W. (Jenkins B.) Ravenel of Charlotte, N.C., Leila W. (Christopher G.) Isgett of Columbia, S.C., Mary W. Brown of Columbia, S.C., and Flossie W. (Wilhelm L.) Miles of Charleston, S.C., two brothers, Charles G. (Janie H.) Wilson of Brooklet, Ga., and William Ancrum (Elsie N.) Wilson of Eastover, S.C.
Lyndy graduated from the College of Charleston in 1976 and received her Masters of Public Health degree from Emory University in 1986. Since 1998, she has served as the administrator for the County Health Department in Pittsfield, Ill. Over the past 26 years, her professional career has involved research and management of programs with the S.C. Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) in Aiken and Columbia, S.C.; Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, University of Miami School of Medicine in Florida (where she worked extensively in comprehensive aids programs); Emory University School of Dentistry in Atlanta, Ga., and the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, S.C.
Lyndy served on numerous professional and community committees and organizations dealing with prenatal research, public health, A.I.D.S. research and education and child abuse. She was also a member of the Pittsfield First United Methodist Church and the choir.
Funeral services are held at the Pittsfield First United Methodist Church on Friday, September, 2002, at 2 p.m., with Rev. Dale Wilfong officiating. It was her desire for cremation with burial at the Quaker cemetery on the family plot in Camden, S.C., on Saturday, October 5, 2002, at 4 p.m. The Reverend Ray Walden, Jr., will officiate.
Memorials may be made to Mary Kay Ash Charitable Foundation for Cancer Research, Untied Methodist Chancel Choir or Children's Choir, Pike County Health Department Scholarship Program or Visiting Nurse's Association of Central Illinois.

Mr. LeMatty was born January 28, 1962, in St. Johns Newfoundland, a son of Harold Phillip LeMatty and Joan McLennon LeMatty. He attended North Charleston public schools and was a member of St. John the Beloved Catholic Church in Summerville, S.C.
Surviving in addition to his wife and mother of North Charleston is his daughter, Danielle LeMatty. Also surviving are his brothers, Timmy S. LeMatty of Hanahan, S.C., Harold P. LeMatty of Moncks Corner, S.C., Wayne J. LeMatty of Summerville, S.C., his sisters, Karen Cooke of Hanahan, S.C., and Rosalie M. LeMatty of North Charleston, S.C. Also dear to his heart are his 16 nieces and nephews.
MARLOW, Doris
Doris Corley Marlow, 73, died Tuesday, October 1, 2002. Friends may visit at the home of her daughter, Debi Wallace of Lexington. CAUGHMAN-HARMAN FUNERAL HOME, LEXINGTON CHAPEL, is in charge.
Born in Columbia, she was the daughter of the late John Rueben Corley, Sr., and Annie Bell Klapman Corley of West Columbia. Doris graduated from Brookland-Cayce High School, West Columbia.
Surviving are her husband, John D. Marlow, of Charleston; a daughter, Debi Greene Wallace of Lexington. Mrs. Marlow had three grandchildren, Tiffanie Dawn Wallace of Washington, D.C., Robert Scott Wallace of Lexington; and Sonya Michelle Wallace who is in heaven with her Granny. Also surviving are two sisters, Beulah Harring of Lexington and Janelle Roof of Columbia; one brother, John R. Corley, Jr., of Lexington. Mrs. Marlow was one of ten children; six sisters and three brothers.

Nellie C. Cumbee, 83, of Summerville, widow of William C. Cumbee, died Tuesday morning, October 1, 2002, in a local nursing home.

Mrs. Cumbee was born on September 10, 1919, in New Hope, S.C., a daughter of the late John and Ella Adams Clark.
She attended Berkeley County Schools. She was a homemaker and she attended Faith Baptist Church.
Surviving are, her daughter, Patricia Ann Pruitt of Ladson, five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Ms. Branham was born September 10, 1959, in Charleston, S.C., the daughter of John Leonard Branham and Jaquelyn Kirby Branham Ruff. She was a receptionist with Select Health of South Carolina, a graduate of James Island High School and received an associate degree as a certified medical assistant. She enjoyed horseback riding and was a Catholic.
She is survived by one daughter, Jasmine Leah Lott of Folly Beach, S.C.; one brother, Larry M. Branham of Johns Island and his wife Jeanine W. Branham; one niece, Jennie W. Branham; her step-father, Jack P. Ruff; and one step-son; Paul Lewis Moran all of Johns Island.

Chief Petty Officer Austin was born June 17, 1920, in Friendship, N.Y., a son of the late Frederick R. Austin and Margaret Clark Austin. He was a member of Saint Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church and served in the US Navy during World War II. He was a member of Fleet Reserve Branch #50, American Legion Post #112 and had worked in real estate in Charleston.
Surviving is his wife of North Charleston, S.C.; three daughters, Mary Davis and husband, Randy of Sumter, S.C., Ann Padgett and husband, Ron of Grants Pass, Oregon, and Nancy Morris and husband, Gil of Lexington, S.C.; two sons, John Austin of Budd Lake, N.J., and David Austin and wife, Shelley of Nova Scotia, Canada; a brother, Harold "Jiggs" Austin of Cuba, N.Y.; 14 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by a son, Michael Austin.
