Funeral services for Mr. Jonathan Murphy will be held Monday, September 30, 2002 at 1:00 PM in Elijah United Methodist Church in Kingstree, SC. Interment will follow in church yard cemetery. Rev. Jonathan Brown, Pastor, will conduct the religious services. DIMERY AND ROGERS OF KINGSTREE, SC, is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Murphy, 73, departed this life on Thursday, September 26, 2002 at Kingstree Nursing Facility in Kingstree, SC.
He was born in Kingstree, SC, a son of Mrs. Annie Cooper Murphy and the late Mr. Warren Murphy.
He was educated in the public schools of Williamsburg County.
He was a former employee of Baxter Travenol Industries for twenty-three years, and he also was employed by Rogers Country Store.
Mr. Murphy was a member of Elijah United Methodist Church in Kingstree, SC. He was a member of the United Methodist Men, and a former member of the Usher Board. He also was a member of 261 Hunting Club.
Loved ones who will cherish his memories forever are one son, Mr. James Murphy (Ivory) of Conway, SC; two daughters, Ms. Joyce Cooper and Ms. Deloris Murphy, both of Kingstree, SC; his mother, Mrs. Annie Cooper Murphy of Kingstree, SC; one brother, Mr. Thomas Murphy of Philadelphia, PA; two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Pendergrass and Mrs. Janie Mae Wilson (George) of Miami, FL; ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.

NETTLES, Marie
RUFFIN - Mrs. Marie Billingsley Nettles, 84, of 742 Memory Drive died Friday at Colleton Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday at Shiloh Baptist Church with Rev. Ricky Crosby, Rev. Arnold Catterton, and Rev. Leon Smoak, officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery, directed by the Brice W. Herndon & Sons Funeral Home.
Mrs. Nettles was born in Leesville, Louisiana, a daughter of the late Lewis James Billingsley and Ollie Mitchell Billingsley. She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church and was the widow of Rev. Edward Nathaniel "Bill" Nettles.
Surviving are a daughter, Faye N. Ramsey of Cottageville; two sons, Edward E. Nettles of Walterboro and Billy Joe Nettles of Hampton; sisters, Carolyn Nelson of Orangeburg and Irene Britton of Summerville; brothers, Robert Billingsley of New Bern, North Carolina, and William Billingsley of San Diego, California; 8 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Carroll A. Nettles.

IMKO, Helen
Helen Holubowitz Imko, 86, widow of Edward Joseph Imko, of Summerville, SC, died September 16, 2002 at a local nursing home.

Mrs. Imko was born August 30, 1916 in New York, New York, a daughter of Konstantin and Stella Holubowitz. She was a retired licensed practical nurse and a member of St. George's Episcopal Church.
Survivors include her son, Dr. Edward A. Imko of Summerville; four grandchildren, Walter Imko, Madolyn Imko, Victor Imko, and Genevieve Imko, all of Summerville; and their mother, Moira Madolyn Belanger of Summerville.

Mrs. Borom was born in Fountain Inn, S.C. The daughter of Clarence T. Hamrick and Myrtle Byers Hamrick. She attended Ashley Hall and Winthrop College. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Charleston. She was very active with Womans Missionary Union, Daughters of American Revolution and Columbia Garden Club. She served faithfully alongside her husband in the service of our Lord in many churches.
Surviving are three brothers, Dr. John A. Hamrick and Dr. Fitzhugh N. Hamrick both of Charleston, S.C., and Dr. C.T. Hamrick of Kiawah Island, S.C.; three daughters, Betty B. Miller and Dacusville, S.C., Martha B. Broom and Kathy B. Gillespie both of Charleston, S.C., eight grandchildren, Debbie Pearson, Helen Banach, Gayle McCaffrey, Sara Boyle, Hart Miller, Julie, Kit and Anna Gillespie, and six great-grandchildren. Her family will greatly miss her but celebrate her life and her lifelong commitment to her family and the work of the church.

HALL, Scott
Entered into eternal rest on September 28, 2002, Scott Wilson Hall, husband of Kathleen Johnson Hall and retired Representative of New England Financial Services, residence, Charleston, S.C. Mr. Hall was born March 18, 1918, in Cadiz, Ky., son of John Noble Hall and Robbie Douglass Wilson Hall, raised in Hopkinsville, Ky. He was a 1939 graduate of the Citadel. He served in W.W.II as a Battalion Commander with 12th Armored Division. He retired as Lt. Col. in 1945. During his service, he received the Silver Star, Bronze Star, and Purple Heart. He was in the Life Insurance Business and a Chartered Life Underwriter. Mr. Hall was a member of First (Scots) Presbyterian Church and elder for many years. He was a past president of Charleston Kiwanis, past president of New England Society, and St. Andrews Society. A long time member of Star Gospel Mission Board of Directors, Charleston Bible Society, Twin Fin, Master Gardener, and Middleton Hunt Club. He was an advocate of and role model for the handicapped.
He is survived by his wife of Charleston, S.C.; one son, Scott W. Hall, Jr., and his wife, Claire, of Greenville, S.C.; three daughters, Kathleen Hall Ravenel and her husband, Dan, of Charleston, S.C.; Lucie Hall Maguire and her husband, Bobby, of Charleston, S.C.; Barbara Douglass Hall of Flat Rock, N.C.; ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Summerville and a member of Walhalla Masonic Lodge #66 A.F.M. He was master woodwork craftsman. He served in the U.S. Air Force.
Mr. Elliott is survived by his wife of Moncks Corner, S.C.; two daughters, Debbie Rickett and Julie Elliott, both of Goose Creek, S.C.; one son, Will Elliott, Jr., of Lexington, S.C.; one brother, Herbert McDonald Elliott of Hanahan, S.C.; six grandchildren, Amy Elliott, Kirsten Rickett, Willis Elijah Elliott, III, Betsy Anne Rickett, Elliott Olander, and Jared Elliott; and one great-grandchild, Logan Elliott.
