Born February 20, 1954, in Charleston, S.C., Mr. Roberson was the son of Lawrence E. Roberson, Sr., and Christine Menke Roberson Dewar. He was a member of Northbridge Baptist Church and a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Mr. Roberson was a graduate of Chicora High School, Class of 1972, and Baptist College, with degrees in Business and Management. He played Big Band music with Andrew Philen, Joe Clark Bands and various other bands. He played trumpet with anyone that called and played every Sunday afternoon at the American Legion, Post #147.
Surviving Mr. Roberson are his mother, Christine Menke Roberson Dewar of Ladson; sister, Dianna Brown and brother-in-law, Ray Brown, both of Bonneau; a niece, Michele McClung, a nephew, Les Brown, three great-nephews and one great-niece.
