WALTERBORO - Nancy Davis, 85, died Wednesday, September 11, 2002.
The funeral will be on Wednesday, September 18, 2002 at 1:00 PM in Rock of Ages CME Church, Walterboro. Burial will be in Aimwell cemetery, Walterboro.
Mrs. Davis was born and educated in Colleton County. She was a member of Rock of Ages CME Church where she served on the stewardess board.
Survivors are five daughters, Mary Glover of Jacksonboro, Inez Dowe of Millbrook, AL, Jerlee Kidd of Philadelphia, PA, Edith Davis of Camden, and Betty Davis of Walterboro; two sons, Leroy Simmons of Jacksonville, FL, and Sinclair Davis of Manhattan, NY.

BLACKBURN, Nadine
WALTERBORO - Nadine Wilson Blackburn, 80, widow of Charles N. Blackburn, died Tuesday at her residence.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday in Bethel Presbyterian Church, conducted by Rev. Lawrence Peebles. Interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, directed by the FRED PARKER FUNERAL HOME.
Mrs. Blackburn was born February 16, 1922 in Bellview, New Mexico, a daughter of the late Ernest Leroy Wilson and Cleda McMahan Wilson. She was a faithful member of Bethel Presbyterian Church and a former Elder. She served on the fellowship committee and was a member and former chairperson of Circle 2. She was a retired weaver at J.P. Steven, Co.
Surviving are a sister, Shirley Sutton of Prosperity, SC; and a grandson, Allan K. Blackburn of Canton, Michigan. She was preceded in death by a son, Allan N. Blackburn.

MARLE, Henry
STATESBORO, GA. - Mr. Henry B. Marle, age 64, died Monday at the VA Hospital in Dublin. The Charleston, SC native had lived in Bulloch County since 1984.
Surviving are his wife, Jean Elizabeth "Jackie" Marle of Statesboro, his daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Mark D. Willis of Brooklet, two grandchildren, Matthew Marle Willis and Caroline Elizabeth Willis, both of Brooklet, one brother, Carl C. Marle of Washington, DC, one sister, Mary Anne Bernard of Mt. Pleasant, SC, and two nieces, Caroline and Christy Bernard.
A graveside service will be held Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at Riverview Memorial Park in Charleston, SC. HODGES-TURNER-ANDERSON FUNERAL HOME of Statesboro is in charge of arrangements.

Surviving are his wife of Charleston, SC, two daughters, Joyce D. Nordlund of Charleston, SC and Karen Hopkins of Hanahan, SC, one son, W. Dennis Dean of Arlington, VA, one brother, Frank Dean of Woodland, GA, two sisters, Daisy Joyner of Atlanta, GA, and Catherine Fletcher of Chula, GA, five grandchildren, Scott and Timothy Nordlund, Jennifer, Heather and Brandon Hopkins.

HILL, Mary
BELTON - Mary Scott Hill, 94, of 304 Oak Hill Road, widow of William Fred Hill, died Monday, September 16, 2002, at her home.
Born in Greenville County, she was the daughter of the late John Wilton and Sallie Wilson Scott. She was a retired teacher, having taught at Chandler Elementary School and Lickville Elementary School, a lunchroom attendant at Ellen Woodside Elementary School and West Dunklin Elementary School, and a member of Oak Hill United Methodist Church.
She was the last member of her immediate family.
Surviving are daughter and son-in-law, Mary Ellen and William Durst of Charleston; and grandchildren, Will Durst, Thomas Durst, and Joseph Durst.
She was predeceased by a son, Larry Hill.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, at Oak Hill United Methodist Church by Rev. Alan Quarles and Rev. Tom Lewis. Burial will follow in Lickville Presbyterian Church cemetery.
