Mrs. Green is survived by her children, Mr. Robert Lee Green, Mr. Duane Green and Mr. Isaac Green, her sister and brothers, Mr. Jeremiah Green (Ester), Mr. Melvin Green, Mr. Marone Alston (Helen) and Ms. Laura Lee Alston, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

ROBERTS, Hazel
Hazel Patricia Roberts, 73, of North Charleston, died September 14, 2002 at a local hospital. Mrs. Roberts was the daughter of the late Frank and Lydie Clyde Condon. She was predeceased by a daughter, Francis Clyde Roberts.
She was a former case worker with the Vince Mosley Clinic. She attended Sacred Heart Elementary, Ashley Hall, and the College of Charleston.
She is survived by a son, Geoffrey Roberts of Houston; a daughter, Connie Colcord of Fernandina Beach, FL; and a brother, Frank E. Condon of Charleston.

Julie Sanders Edwards, 42, formerly of Charleston, died Tuesday, September 10, 2002 in Savannah, GA. Mrs. Edwards was born Friday, July 1, 1960 in Columbia, SC, the daughter of Archibald Campbell and Nancy Galbreath Sanders. She was a former employee of St. Francis Hospital. Surviving are a son, Zachary Eugene Edwards of Charleston, SC; four sisters, Leslie Sanders Backus of Savannah, GA, Michelle Sanders Kreider of Fairfax, VA, Dr. Lisa Sanders, MD of New Haven, CT, Andree Sanders of New York, NY; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, September 16, 2002 in Live Oak cemetery, Walterboro, SC. The family will receive friends at 1:00 PM on Monday at 677 Pelzer Dr., Mt. Pleasant, SC. Doris Mary Stevens, age 79, of North Charleston, died Saturday September 14, 2002, at a local hospital.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 16, 2002 at 2:00 PM in Carolina Memorial Chapel with entombment to follow in Carolina Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 15, 2002 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home, 7113 Rivers Ave., North Charleston.
Born in Yemasse, SC, she was the daughter of Henry Nettles and Mary Woodward Nettles. Mrs. Stevens was retired from the Charleston Naval Base Day Care Center after 25 years. Mrs. Stevens was a member of Covenant of Life Church.
Surviving are her husband, Jim M. Stevens of North Charleston; two daughters, Mary T. Hughes, and Darlene Stevens, both of Summerville, SC; two sons, Jim M. Stevens of Texas, Wyman H. Stevens of Summerville, SC; one brother, Wyman D. Nettles of Ridgeland, SC; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

MARLOW, Elizabeth
SUMMERVILLE - Elizabeth Smith Marlow, 88, died Saturday, September 14, 2002 at her residence.
Mrs. Marlow was born in Andrews on June 4, 1914, a daughter of the late Reid Whitford Smith and Emily Bryan Smith. She was employed at Georgetown Memorial Hospital in Georgetown for a time. Mrs. Marlow lived at Pawley's Island prior to moving to Summerville to live with a niece, Ellen Kalman. She was a member of Wando Woods Baptist Church.
Surviving are a son, Clinton Marlow of Charlotte, NC; two brothers, George Smith of Branchville, Wayne Smith of Dayton, Nev.; two sisters, Betty S. Peigler of North Charleston, Jennie S. Thomas of Clyo, GA; and a number of grandchildren.
Mrs. Marlow was predeceased by a son, Lynn Marlow and a sister, Beverly Pooser.
Funeral services will be two o'clock Monday afternoon, September 16, 2002, at the graveside in Andrews Memorial cemetery in Andrews. Officiating will be Rev. Buddy Broad. Burial will follow under the direction of the Andrews CHAPEL OF MAYER FUNERAL HOME.

Charles Bianco, 76, of Kiawah Island, husband of Darlene Bedford Bianco, and a retired Light Crew Forman for Pacific Gas & Electric, died Friday, September 13, 2002 in a local hospital. WIDENER, Jasper
Jasper Phillips Widener, 78, of New Grade Road, Moncks Corner, SC, a retired motor pool driver for the US Air Force Base, died Saturday in a Charleston hospital.
The funeral will be at 1:00 PM Tuesday, September 17, 2002 in the CHAPEL OF DIAL-MURRAY FUNERAL HOME, MONCKS CORNER. Interment will be in Plantation Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Monday evening.
Mr. Widener was born October 9, 1923, in Aiken, SC, a son of Sullivan Widener and Lillie Kennedy Widener. He was an Army Veteran of WWII and a member of the Salem Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Mary O'Quinn Widender; three sons and daughters-in-law, Phillips O. and Sylvia Widener of Summerville, Michael and Cindy Widener of Moncks Corner, Tim J. and Donna Widener of North Charleston; six grandchildren, Ryan O. Widener, Joshua Widener, Jason Widener, Jamie P. Widener, Timothy A. Widener, and Maryann E. Widener; three great-grandchildren.
SHAFFER, Jacqueline
Mrs. Jacqueline J. Shaffer, 61, of 1639 Fisher Road in the Cummings Community near Varnville, died Friday morning in the Hampton Regional Medical Center after a brief illness.
Mrs. Shaffer was born in Colleton County, July 18, 1941, a daughter of the late James and Lucille Bennett Sanders. She had retired from International Paper Corp. in Hampton after 32 years of service working in the Lab, and was a member of the Deep Branch Baptist Church where she was a choir member.
Surviving are her husband, Leon N. Shaffer of Varnville; one son, Sgt. Michael L. Shaffer of Korea; two daughters, Kim White of Hampton, and Kaye Powell of Charleston; three brothers, Earl Sanders of Augusta, Laurie Sanders of Edisto, Sammy Sanders of Walterboro; three sisters, Florence Hastey of Bristol, Tennessee, Shirley Lakes of Stark, Florida, and Alice Murdaugh of Islandton; two grandchildren, William Lee Powell, David B. White; and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be 3 PM Monday in the Deep Branch Baptist church, conducted by Rev. Barney Tuten, with burial in the church cemetery, directed by PEEPLES-RHODEN FUNERAL HOME IN HAMPTON.
The family suggests that those who wish may send memorials to the Deep Branch Baptist Church, Rt. 1, Varnville, SC 29944.
Friends may call at the chapel in Hampton after 6 PM Sunday, and Monday until 2 PM when the casket will be placed in the church prior to services.
