MARSH, Jacqueline
Jacqueline Helen Marsh, 68, loving wife, mother, and grandmother, died Thursday, September 12, 2002 after a short illness at a local hospital. Born January 20, 1934 in Allendale County, SC, she was the daughter of the late Stokes Dewey and Mamie Dempsey (nee Dyches). Mrs. Marsh was a longtime member of Heritage Holiness Church, where she was also a member of the choir. She is survived by her husband, Wilbur D. Marsh of Goose Creek; two sons, Wilbur D. Marsh of Moncks Corner, and William T. Marsh of Ladson; two daughters, Mary Gonsalves and her husband Ed of Goose Creek, and Gwen Clark and her husband Robbie of Moncks Corner; two brothers, Hewey Dempsy of Columbia, SC, and Jeff Dempsey of Texas; two sisters, Marie Dykes of Charleston, SC, and Margie Mizell of Moncks Corner, SC; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held Sunday, September 15, 2002 at 3:00 PM at Heritage Holiness Church, Ladson. Interment will follow at Plantation Memorial Gardens, Highway 17A, Moncks Corner. Mrs. Young was born July 8, 1911, in Scotland, the oldest of six children born to John A. McFadden and Elizabeth Goodwin McFadden. She came to the United States in 1913 on a ship that traveled to Ellis Island. She worked in retail in Philadelphia, Pa., up to her marriage to Thomas P. Young, Jr., in 1942. She then moved to Spartanburg, S.C., after World War II and became active in civic and community work. She moved to Charleston, S.C., in 1999 after the death of her husband and lived at Bishop Gadsden on James Island.
Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Wiley Blackman and a grandson, Wil all of Charleston, S.C.; one sister, Peggy DuGan of Pennsylvania.

ST. GEORGE, S.C. - David Edward (Eddie) Hinton, 78, 207 Dukes Street, St. George died Saturday September 14, 2002 in Richland Memorial Hospital, Columbia, SC.
Funeral Services will be held 11 a.m. Monday in the Old St. George Baptist Church with Rev. W.T. Doyle and Rev. Kevin Hinton officiating. Burial will follow. Visitation will be held 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday evening at BRYANT FUNERAL HOME.
Mr. Hinton was born November 18, 1923 in Ridgeville a son of the late Beauregard and Florrie Bell Camelia Huff Hinton. He was a retired Truck Driver for Southern Bulk Haulers and was an employee of Dixie Boy Truck Stop. He belonged to Old St. George Baptist Church and was pre-deceased by brothers Robert Hinton and Donald Hinton and a sister, Annie Bell Hartzog.

SPRING, Yvonne
Yvonne O'Neal Spring, 69, of Charleston, died Thursday, September 12, at a local hospital. Born in Lake City, SC, to the late Jack and Bonnie Hollomon O'Neal. She was the wife of the late William M. Spring, Sr. Mrs. Spring retired after 34 years as a supervisor/administrator with the Federal Housing Authority with the Civil Service working in the Naval Supply, Naval Weapons Station, and the Southern Division of NAVFAC housing. She was very active in the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post 147 serving as past president, chairing many committees and fundraisers, active in the baseball program, and received the auxiliary unit member of the year award. Mrs. Spring was also a member of the Pro Housing and Management Association, and past president of the West Ashley Jaycees. Surviving Mrs. Spring is her two sons, William "Marty" Spring of Surfside Beach, SC, and Mark J. Spring of James Island, SC; two daughters, Robin Thurston of Kennesaw, GA, and Tara Wren Hollingsworth of Mt. Pleasant, SC. Also survived by four grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2 PM Saturday, September 14, 2002 at McAlister-Smith Downtown Chapel. Interment will follow in Holy Cross cemetery. Surviving Mrs. Lubeskie are four sons, David L. and Patricia Lubeskie of Corinth, Texas, Stephen J. Lubeskie and Joyce Ex of Goose Creek, S.C., Peter A. Lubeski, Jr., of Kennesaw, Ga., and Thomas A. and Karla Lubeskie of Dallas, Texas; three sisters, Catherine Hicks Cooper of Summerville, Bonnie Hicks Callahan of Sanford, N.C., and Sybol Hicks Floyd of Summerville; a brother, Joseph Leon Hicks of Aliquippa, Pa.; seven grandchildren, David, Brian, John, Maddie, and Garrett Lubeskie, and Chelsea and Connor Ex-Lubeskie.

Julie Sanders Edwards, 42, formerly of Charleston, died Tuesday, September 10, 2002, in Savannah, Ga. Mrs. Edwards was born Friday, July 1, 1960, in Columbia, S.C., the daughter of Archibald Campbell and Nancy Galbreath Sanders. She was a former employee of St. Francis Hospital. Surviving are a son, Zachary Eugene Edwards of Charleston, S.C., four sisters, Leslie Sanders Backus of Savannah, Ga., Michelle Sanders Kreider of Fairfax, Va., Dr. Lisa Sanders, Md., of New Haven, Conn., and Andree Sanders of New York, N.Y., and several nieces and nephews. SMOAKS - Miss Donna Mae Crosby, 33, of 422 Eagle Road, died Thursday. Miss Crosby was born March 21, 1969, in Colleton County and was a daughter of Clara James Crosby and the late Clifton W. Crosby, Sr. She was assistant manager of the Little Swamp Corner Store, a member of the Little Swamp United Methodist Church where she was a former Sunday school teacher, and assisted with the children in Vacation Bible School. She was an avid outdoors person.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m., Monday, at the Little Swamp United Methodist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery directed by the BRICE W. HERNDON AND SON FUNERAL HOME, EHRHARDT CHAPEL.
Surviving are her mother, Joann Smith Whetstone of Smoaks, her biological mother of Walterboro, brothers, William C. Crosby, Jr., Leo Crosby, Charles E.
