MARSH, Jacqueline
Jacqueline Helen Marsh, 68, loving wife, mother, and grandmother, died Thursday, September 12, 2002 after a short illness at a local hospital. Born January 20, 1934 in Allendale County, SC, she was the daughter of the late Stokes Dewey and Mamie Dempsey (nee Dyches). Mrs. Marsh was a longtime member of Heritage Holiness Church, where she was also a member of the choir. She is survived by her husband, Wilbur D. Marsh of Goose Creek; two sons, Wilbur D. Marsh of Moncks Corner, and William T. Marsh of Ladson; two daughters, Mary Gonsalves and her husband Ed of Goose Creek, and Gwen Clark and her husband Robbie of Moncks Corner; two brothers, Hewey Dempsy of Columbia, SC, and Jeff Dempsey of Texas; two sisters, Marie Dykes of Charleston, SC, and Margie Mizell of Moncks Corner, SC; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held Sunday, September 15, 2002 at 3:00 PM at Heritage Holiness Church, Ladson. Interment will follow at Plantation Memorial Gardens, Highway 17A, Moncks Corner. FRIEDRICH, Carl
Carl William Friedrich, 76, of Isle of Palms, died in a local hospital September 11, 2002. The husband of Charlotte Brewer Friedrich, he was the son of William A. and Hilda Betcher Friedrich. Born in Cincinnati, OH, on April 28, 1926, he was a veteran of World War II and served in the US Navy in the Pacific Theatre. Once out of the Navy, he became a quality engineer at an iron foundry. Surviving are his wife; one daughter, Susan F. Bond of Chesapeake, VA; four sisters, Esther F. Seelmeyer of Louisville, KY, Helen F. Schmidt, Louise F. Thompson of Cincinnati, OH, Carolyn F. Keserovich of Fallbrooke, CA; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sons, 1st Lt. Paul D. Friedrich, USMC, and Brian C. Friedrich. SEYLE, Gladys
Gladys H. Seyle, 83, of Charleston, SC, widow of Harold A. Seyle, entered into eternal rest at a local nursing home on Wednesday, September 11, 2002. She was born on July 3, 1919 in Cades, SC, the daughter of the late Sumter A. and Eva Galloway Goodson.
She is survived by one son, Wilton H. Seyle of Charleston, SC; and one daughter, Gwen S. Bowers of Mt. Pleasant, SC. Also surviving are five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A private graveside service will be held at Live Oak cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to one's charity of choice. The Seyle family is being served by THE CREMATION CENTER OF CHARLESTON.

Alice Hughes Coppedge, 92, of St. Stephen, formerly of Charleston, died Wednesday at a St. Stephen nursing home.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 12 noon, Saturday, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Charleston. Final commendation and farewell, directed by Russell Funeral Chapel, will be in Live Oak Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Coppedge was born January 1, 1910 in Savannah, Georgia, a daughter of Samuel B. Hughes and Alice M. Byrnes Hughes. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. She was the widow of Thomas Earl Coppedge.
Surviving are her daughter, Earlyne Coppedge Vonder Leith Kost of Bonneau Beach; six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren.

Susan Linda Fisher Wallace, 53, of Mt. Pleasant, SC, died on Wednesday, September 11, 2002 at her residence. Mrs. Sanford was born January 11, 1928 in Danbury, Connecticut, and was a daughter of the late Walter B. Florence Worth. She retired after twenty-one years of service from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) as a Hotline Coordinator, was a life member of the Veteran of Foreign Wars, Post #10256 in Goose Creek, and was a member of the Fleet Reserve Branch #50 in Charleston. She was a member of the Northside Christian Church.
Surviving are her husband of fifty-seven years, Arlington Sanford; two sons, Robert A. Sanford of Walterboro, William A. Sanford of Columbia; a daughter, Susan B. Hilton of Summerville; twelve grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
