Mr. Young was born December 6, 1956, in Georgetown, S.C., the son of the late L.G. Young and Hilda Mae Spivey Young. He was an industrial welder maintenance supervisor with Gregg Drilling Company and a veteran of the U.S. Marines.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Elizabeth "Liz" Hardee Young of Ladson, S.C.; a grandson, Kayun David Young of Goose Creek, S.C.; a son and daughter-in-law, Neil David and Jennifer Renee Young of Goose Creek, S.C.; two brothers, Marshall Allen Young of Goose Creek, S.C., and Ronald Dion Young of Florida; three sisters, Kathy Darlene Young and Sheryl Renee Tyler, both of Starke, Fla., and Patricia Yvonne Hardee of Goose Creek, S.C.

Mrs. Herron was born in Collenton County, S.C., the daughter of Albert Siftly Blocker and Janie Lou Ellie Adams Blocker. She was retired from MUSC where she was a nurse. She was a member of Ashley River Baptist Church.
Surviving are one daughter, Rosemary H. Easterlin of Yemassee, S.C.; three grandchildren, Chris, Cynthia, and Tonia; six great-grandchildren, Crystal, Alyssa, Melissa, Katlyn, John, and Luke; one brother, Lewis Albert Blocker of Charleston, S.C.; one sister, Mattie Lou Blocker Yaun of Johns Island, S.C.

She is survived by her husband of Charleston, S.C.; four daughters, Sandy J. Lyon of Charleston, S.C., Carol A. Moyer of West Simsbury, Conn., Althea S. String of Little River, S.C., and Phylicia Feeley of Chatham, Mass.; three sisters; nine grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Orvin was born August 24, 1931, in Charleston, S.C., a daughter of the late Jim W. Wadford and Ola Nix Wadford. She was a member of Cooper River Baptist Church and Tending God's Business Sunday School Class. She was a member of the Omar Distaff and a former receptionist with Dr. Robert Pringle.
She is survived by her husband of North Charleston; two sons, William E. Sineath, Jr., of Sneeds Ferry, N.C., and Robert M. Sineath of Lumber Bridge, N.C.; two brothers, Jim W. Wadford, Jr., and Joe L. Wadford, both of St. Stephen, S.C.; one sister, Cola Mae Ruth Paige of Tupelo, Miss.; step-mother, Ola Metts Wadford; six grandchildren, Michelle Sineath, Christine Sineath, Robert Sineath, II, Grant Sineath, Katrina Wiand and Damion Wiand.

ST. GEORGE, S.C. - James Lee (Buddy) Sanders, Sr., 78, of 110 Nora Lane, St. George, formerly of Lexington, died Wednesday September 4, 2002 in Richland Memorial Hospital, Columbia, SC.
Funeral Services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday in the Mt. Zion Baptist Church with Rev. David Mullins officiating. Burial will follow in the Church cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at BRYANT FUNERAL HOME, ST. GEORGE.
Mr. Sanders was born June 27, 1924 in Camden, SC a son of the late Oscar Sanders and Eva Sharpe Sanders Mahaffey. He was a Navy Veteran of WW II, member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, and was the retired founder & owner of Gamecock Motors and Midland Glass Company in Columbia. He was pre-deceased by his step-father, Gilbert T. Mahaffey.

WALTERBORO - Ruby Bailey Ackerman Blanton, 90, retired seamstress with Smoak's Manufacturing, died Sunday at Colleton Medical Center. Born in Colleton County, a daughter of Robert Bailey and Bertha Gatch Bailey Ackerman, she was first married
to the late Malachi "Mall" Ackerman and was the widow of W.S. Blanton. She was a member of Maple Cane Baptist Church.

LIVONIA, MI - Sara Cunningham Loughner, born August 26, 1921 in Harrisville, West Virginia, passed away August 30, 2002 in Folsorn, California, after a six month illness. She was preceded in death by husband John N. Loughner and son, John. She leaves daughters, Sara (Troy) Reitz of Folsom, CA, and Sue Loughner; grandson, Benny Schuknecht of Charleston, SC; cousin, Alice Taylor of Salem, Oregon. Margie was an RN for 52 years and a realtor. She worked mostly in Livonia, MI at St. Mary Hospital. She was a resident of Folsom for the past 3 years, Livonia for 44 years, and a member of Rosedale Gardens Presbyterian Church for 42 years. Among her proudest accomplishments were being a master gardener and receiving her A.S. degree in hospice at 72 years and bing a member of the Monuka Lake Oaring Team. She was a kind, generous, gentle person and was blessed with many true friends. Friends are invited to attend her funeral service Thursday at 11 AM at Rosedale Gardens Presbyterian Church, Livonia.
