HEATLEY, Robert
Robert W. Heatley, 85, of Summerville, died Monday, November 25, 2002, at his residence.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, November 27, 2002, 11 a.m., at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, burial to follow in Carolina Memorial Park.
Born October 1, 1917, in Charleston, he was the son of the late William Cleveland Heatley and Lillie Pearl Griffin Heatley.
Mr. Heatley was a retired welder. He was a Navy veteran of WWII.
Survivors included, his wife Mildred Martha Cockrell Heatley of Summerville; two daughters, Sandra Kearney of Summerville, Jeannette Westberry and husband Kirby of Stone Mountain, Ga., son, William Robert Heatley, Jr., and wife Leigh of Lawrenceville, Ga., four sisters, Hazel North of Mt. Pleasant, Carmen Winters of North Charleston, Shelley Vos of Moncks Corner, Shirley Riepke, of North Charleston; one brother, Tolson Cleveland Heatley of Moncks Corner; three grandchildren, Shelia and husband Brad, Robbie, and Tina.
The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m., Wednesday, November 27, 2002, at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, 7113 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston.

JANSSON, Carl
Carl William "Bill" Jansson, age 66, died Monday, November 25, 2002 at Britthaven Nursing Home in Clyde, NC.
A native of Charleston, SC, he had lived in Haywood County, NC for the late 18 years. He was the son of the late Archibald Butt Jansson and Loraine Sigwah Jansson. He retired in 1977 as a machinist with the Charleston Naval Shipyard. He attended Antioch Baptist Church. He loved to fish and enjoyed life.
He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Lyn Jansson of Charleston, SC; two sons, Carl William "Bill" Jansson, Jr. and his wife, Susan of Maggie Valley, NC and James A. "Jim" Jansson and his wife, Ruby, of Charleston, SC; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 7 PM on Wednesday, November 27, 2002 in the Waynesville chapel of Wells Funeral Home. The family will receive friends after the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetic Association, 1820 E. Seventh Street, Charlotte, SC 28204.

PENGRA, Orbie
KANSAS CITY, MO - Orbie E. Pengra, 86, of Kansas City, MO, formerly of Charleston Heights, SC, passed away Sunday, November 24, 2002. Visitation will be 2 - 3 PM Wednesday, November 27, 2002 with memorial services immediately following at D.W. NEWCOMER'S SONS FLORAL HILLS CHAPEL. Mr. Pengra was born August 18, 1916 in St. Peter, MN. He enlisted in the US Army in Vancouver, WA on November 9, 1934. He met and married
Sophie Tetnowski June 20, 1946. The couple lived happily in South Carolina where he retired in 1966, after serving his country in the US Air Force for 31 years. Orbie retired as Chief Master Sergeant E9. He was an avid reader and kept very busy in the last 8 years raising Great Danes with his family.
Orbie was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Sophie Pengra, in 1994. He is survived by his daughter, Joy Lobato and her husband Jerry, with whom he lived since 1994; one brother, Robert Schultz, St. Louis Park, MN; nieces, nephews and many close friends.
