GLOGORSKI, Frances
Francis Charles Glogorski, 65, died November 21, 2002, at his home in Mt. Pleasant. Born in Elizabeth, NJ, he was the son of Frank William Glogorski and Jeanette Wlodarski Glogorski. A U.S. Navy Veteran, and a graduate of DePaul University in Chicago, Mr. Glogorski was a Senior Special Agent in the Immigration and Naturalization Service for the Organized Crime Strike Force. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Retired Border Patrol Agents, and he was a volunteer with the United Methodist Relief Center and Habitat for Humanity. He was especially fond of his time spent as a docent on the USS Aircraft Carrier Yorktown here in Mt. Pleasant. Survivors include his wife, Lou Ann Glogorski of Mt. Pleasant; a son, Michael Joel Glogorski, Smyrna, Ga.; a daughter, Tracie Ann Pribush of NJ; six sisters, Jean G. Richeson, Texas; Phyllis G. Palfi, VA; Connie G. Berry, FL; Ruth G. Marino and Loretta Glogorski, of NJ; Linda G. Adams, WY; and two grandchildren, Shaun and Melissa Pribush.
A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, November 24, 2002, 4 p.m., at MCALISTER-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, East Cooper Chapel, 1520 Rifle Range Road, Mt. Pleasant, 884-3833. Mrs. Leap was born September 29, 1929 in Port Royal, SC, the daughter of William E. Snider and Gertrude Shipes Snider. She attended Memminger High School. She was a charter member of Martin Luther Lutheran Church and also a charter member of B.P.O. Does, Charleston Lodge #231.
She is survived by her husband of James Island; three daughters: Muriel L. Bellah and her husband Bobby of Johns Island, Susan L. Tompkins and her husband George of Johns Island and Robin L. Richard and her husband Marty of James Island; three sons: Herbert A. Leap, Jr. and his wife Terri of Charleston, Robert W. Leap and his wife Teresa of James Island and Richard E. Leap of James Island; one sister June S. Maloney of Greenville, SC; one brother: Louis C. Snider of Charleston, SC; one uncle: Charles R. Snyder of Aiken, SC; 17 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; one sister-in-law: Muriel L. Weibert of Freeport, NY and one brother-in-law: Otis A. Weibert of Freeport, NY.

Richard Walter "Rick" Schmid, Jr., 47, of John's Island, husband of Cheryl Lynn Harlow Schmid, died Tuesday, November 19, 2002. Mr. Schmid was born, Monday, July 4, 1955, in Long Island, N.Y., the son of Richard and Ethel Schmid. He was the owner of RWS Construction Company and served his country in the U.S. Navy. Mr. Schmid is survived by his loving wife and four children, Christopher Sancrante of Mt. Pleasant, Jeffrey Sancrante, Bradley Sancrante, and Brittany Sancrante, all of John's Island.
