A native of Charleston, SC, he was a retired Tug Boat Captain and had resided in Camden County for the past 5 years.
Survivors are: 2 daughters: Christy Denney of St. Marys, GA and Hollie Wilcher of Palestine, TX; 2 sons, Leland Curtis Gaskins of Huger, SC and Boyce Dana Gaskins of Macedonia, SC; grandchildren: Amber Haislett, Chelsea Gaskins and Kent Denney.

SANTEE, S.C. - Mike Glenn Shuler, 89, of 2376 Antioch Road, Santee, S.C., died Sunday, November 3, 2002, in Orangeburg after a brief illness.
Funeral services will be 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, November 5, 2002, in the Providence United Methodist Church in Providence Community. Casket will be placed in the church at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Rev. Mr. Shuler was born in Orangeburg County on October 1, 1913, a son of the late Hampton Owen Shuler and Cordella Eva Shuler Shuler. Mr. Shuler was a long member of the Providence United Methodist Church and a member of the Faithful Workers Sunday School Class. He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Olive Felkel Shuler. Mr. Shuler was a retired farmer and carpenter and was employed by USDA Farm Service Agency, formerly ASCS for 50 years.
Survivors include, on son, R. Irvin Shuler, and wife, Claire Shuler, Santee, S.C.; one daughter, Lieutenant Rita Y. Shuler, Irmo, S.C.; two grandchildren, Shannon Grier Shuler, Cleveland, Ga.; Rhonda Shuler Adams, Santee; one great-grandson, Chase Adams, Santee, S.C.

NORWOOD, JR., DeWitt
BARNWELL - Mr. DeWitt Marvin Norwood, Jr., 89, died Saturday, October 19, 2002, at the Barnwell County Hospital.
Born in Laurens, S.C., he was the son of the late DeWitt Marvin and Lyl Bailey Norwood. He was a graduate of Christ School in Ardia, N.C., and attended N.C. State University where he was a member of Kappa Alpha Fraternity. He was the past president of the Southern and South Carolina Seedmen's Associations. He was a Former Chairman of Barnwell District 45 School Board, former member of Barnwell City Council, Barnwell County Council, officer of the Lower Savannah Regional Council of Governments, Member of the Ellenton Agriculture Club, and served as a Trustee of the Barnwell United Methodist Church. He was a partner in the Barnwell Peanut Company, and Norwood and Lemon Inc.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, October 21, 2002, in the Barnwell United Methodist Church cemetery. Major Martin M. Sinteff, 68, U.S. Air Force (Ret.), of Summerville, died Friday morning in a Summerville hospital.
A Memorial Service will be this afternoon at 4 o'clock in James A. Dyal Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be private.

Mr. Sinteff was born on June 25, 1934, in Montclair, N.J., a son of the late Martin M. Sinteff, Sr., and Ann Agnes Drudy Sinteff.
Mr. Sinteff retired from the U.S. Air Force Base in Charleston as the Weather Officer. He was a graduate of the Baptist College of Charleston and also attended the University of Maryland and the University of Minnesota-Duluth. He was a commercial and leisure artist.
His survivors include, sons, Michael David Sinteff of Atlanta, Ga., Jeffrey D. Sinteff of Summerville, Richard L. Sinteff of Summerville, Robert Scott Sinteff of Summerville; daughter, Kathryn M. Stuckey of Suffolk, Va.; sisters, Anne M. Bishop of White Hall, Md., Mimi Yantz of Toms River, N.J., Irene Sinteff of North Easton, Mass., Marian Carlino of Somers Point, N.J., Beth Battaline of Pittsburgh, Pa.; and ten grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his brother, William John Sinteff.

William J. Fitt, age 55, of North Charleston, S.C., passed away November 1, 2002, at a local hospital. Graveside services are Thursday, November 7, 2002, at 2 p.m., at Carolina Memorial Park, 7113 Rivers Ave., North Charleston, S.C. Survivors include sisters, Gladys (Cannie B.) Griffin, of Goose Creek, S.C., Martha (Michael) Evans, of Pleasanton, Calif. Brothers, James Fitt, of North Charleston, S.C., George (Angie) Fitt, of North Charleston, S.C., and Herbert Fitt, of North Charleston, S.C., also included are one granddaughter and many nieces and nephews. Robert "Bob" Eugene Dudley, Sr., 70, of Summerville, died Sunday in a North Charleston hospital.

Mr. Dudley was born July 29, 1932, in Aiken, S.C., a son of the late Marion Mortimer Dudley and Marie A. Johnstone. He was a graduate of Charleston High School and Palmer College. He was a retired Deputy with Dorchester County Sheriff's Department. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard. He was a Baliff with Dorchester County Family Court. He was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.
Surviving are, wife, Dorothy Durden Dudley of Summerville; sons, Robert E. Dudley, Jr., of Villa Rica, Ga., Michael Paul Dudley of Pusan, South Korea, John Dudley of Summerville; daughter, Virginia Marie Voshell of Jacksonville, Fla.; brother, Marion J. Dudley of Dillsburg, Pa.; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was predeceased by a sister, Harriet Kowalcyk and a daughter, Pamela Jane Dudley.
