STANTON, Mary
Entered into eternal rest on the morning of November 3, 2002, Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Stanton of Charleston, SC. The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. David M. Mrs. Stanton, 67, was born in Rowland, North Carolina, daughter of Rufus Harrison Curtis and Grace McCormick Curtis. Mrs. Stanton attended Converse College and was a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she received her B.A. in Music. In 1976 she joined her husband in starting American Sail, a local area sailboat manufacturer, where she served as Vice President and Treasurer. Mrs. Stanton was also a member of the James Island Yacht Club Ladies Auxiliary.
She is survived by her husband, David Martin Stanton; her three children: Mary Elizabeth Horne of Charleston, David M. Stanton, Jr. of Deer Park, IL, and Christopher Curtis Stanton of Goose Creek; her three sisters: Patricia Huck of Merritt Island, FL, Brenda Hamilton of Dillon, SC, and Debbie Auld of Greer, SC; and five grandchildren.

Surviving are her father, William Joseph Steele, Sr. of Tulsa, OK, a sister, Robin s. Williams of Canadays, SC, and one brother, William J. Steele Jr., of James Island, SC.

Mrs. David was born in Rolla, ND on April 3, 1954, the daughter of Laurence Gores and La Verna Lentz Gores. She served in the US Navy. She received a degree in Business Management from Trident Technical College. She was a teacher's aide in the Charleston County Schools at Alice Birney Middle School and was a bus driver. She was a girl scout and 4H Club leader. Mrs. David received a Governor's Award, recognized for "Most Hours volunteered Honor". She was a life long member of the VFW Auxiliary Lodge #8196, Rock Lake, ND, and a member of St. John the Beloved Catholic Church.
Surviving are her husband of Ladson, her parents of Rolla, ND, one son, Eddie G. David of Atlanta, GA, two daughters, Tina L.G. David and Annabelle G. David of Ladson, SC; brothers and sisters-in-law, Earl and Val Gores of Grand Forks, ND, Dennis Paula Gores of Bismark, ND, Andy and Helen Gores of Hansboro, ND; brother, Corey Gores of Grand Forks, ND; sister and brother-in-law, Becky and Todd Anderson of Hampden, ND; and two grandchildren, Alexis Marie Elda Hardin and Christopher Alan Ray Hardin. She was predeceased by her brother, Clay Gores.

Mr. Espiritu was born in San Marcelino, Zambales, Philippines, August 14, 1981, the son of Valentino Espiritu and Conchita Castillo Espiritu. He worked at BiLo Supermarket. He completed a year of college at Midlands Technical College in Columbia, S.C. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and also attended Rutledge Memorial Baptist Church.
Surviving are his parents; three sisters, Ellen Grace E. and husband Jeff Villaver of Washington, D.C., Ethel Ivy E. and husband Jay Donlin of Virginia Beach, Va., and Vesely Ilza C. Espiritu of Columbia, S.C.; two uncles, Jess and Frank Espiritu both of Charleston, S.C.; four aunts, Josefina Ordillas of Hawaii, Amor and Pat Espiritu of Charleston, S.C., Trinidad Mayuyo and Ofelia Basila both of the Phillipines; numerous cousins, Micah and wife Kathie, Jay, Jayce, and Michael Espiritu all of Charleston, S.C., Althea Ordillas of Hawaii, and Ira and wife Juanita Ordillas of California; Grandma Elena and Grandpa Salvador Castillo of Zambales, Philippines; aunts, uncles, cousins, and numerous friends in the USA and Philippines.

LEGARE, Ronald
Ronald Earl "Ronny" Legare, 60, of Summerville, husband of Doris Louise Glover Legare, died Thursday at his residence.
A memorial service will be held Monday, November 4, 2002 at 11 o'clock in Tri-County Cremation Center Chapel, 11000 Dorchester Road, Summerville. Burial will be private.
Mr. Legare was born on September 18, 1942 in Kingstree, South Carolina, a son of the late Nathaniel Legare and Juliett Hanna Legare Felder. He graduated from schools in Kingstree. He was a United States Army veteran. Mr. Legare had worked as a physical science technician with the Charleston Naval Shipyard and late worked as a carpenter. He was a Methodist.
Surviving are: his wife of Summerville; 2 daughters: Thailand Legare of Mount Pleasant, SC and Consuelo Legare of Goose Creek, SC; 2 granddaughters and 1 grandson.

ZELLARS, Timothy
RUFFIN - Timothy Harding Zellars, 85, of Ruffin, a retired farmer, died Saturday at his residence.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday at the chapel of the Fred Parker Funeral Home, conducted by Rev. Ken McCaskill and Rev. Robert E. Ethridge. Interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Zellars was born September 2, 1917 in Colleton County. He was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church #2.
Surviving are: his wife, Evelyn Ethridge Zellars, two sons, Harold Zellars of Ruffin and Edward Zellars of Columbia, five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Sunday evening from 6 until 8 PM at the FRED PARKER FUNERAL HOME.
WOERNER, JR., Edgar
Egdar Irvin Woerner, Jr., 64, of Cross, died Wednesday in a North Charleston hospital.
A graveside funeral service will be held on Monday, November 4, 2002 at 10:30 o'clock in Beaufort National cemetery, Beaufort, SC.
Mr. Woerner was born on March 3, 1938 in Charleston, a son of the late Edgar Irvin "Flash" Woerner, Sr. and Beatrice Elizabeth Grayson Woerner. He was a graduate of St. Johns High School. He was a United States Navy veteran. He was a retired U.S. government employee. He was Baptist.
Surviving are: his sister, Verna Joanne Woerner of Cross, 4 aunts: Ruth Brassell of St. Stephens, Frances Hitchcock of Johns Island, Betty Cox of Woodine, GA, Vivian Hitchcock of James Island; one uncle, Edward F. Butler, and several cousins.
