Mr. Seaman was born in Roslyn, New York. The son of David W. Seaman and Katherine Schultz Seaman. He was a retired clerk for the St. Andrews Postal Service. He was a Navy Chief and served in Korea and WWII. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, the American Legion Post #147 and Fleet Reserve Association.
Surviving are his wife of Charleston, S.C.; one daughter, Laura S. Strickland of Charleston, S.C. Four sons, James E. Seaman of Eglin Air Force Base, Fla., Donald L. Seaman of Charleston, S.C., David W. Seaman of Upper Marlboro, Md., and William G. Seaman of Goose Creek, S.C.; and six grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Charleston Chapter American Heart Association, 215 East Bay St., Suite 204, Charleston, S.C. 29401.

BLANTON, Samuel
Entered into eternal rest on the morning of October 26, 2002, Samuel Thomas "Red" Blanton, husband of Camilla Saunders Blanton and retired owner of Blanton's Liquor Store, residence, Charleston, S.C. Mr. Blanton was born December 9, 1915, in Greer, S.C., son of Egbert J. and Margaret Flack Blanton. As a young man he was a member of the National Association of Civilian Conservation Corps. He was in the Supply Co. of CCC on Ft. Moultrie. During W.W.II, he was in the Army Transportation Service. He was a member of National Association of CCC Alumni, and acting Treasurer. Mr. Blanton was an active member of the National Rifle Association.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Charleston, S.C.; two daughters, Judith B. Walsh of Isle of Palms, S.C., and Susan B. Mosier of Lebannon, Ore.; one sister, Kathryn B. King of Bonneau, S.C.; four grandchildren, Sean Thomas Storment, Cheray S. Brummer, Michele W. Mucha, and Michael A. Walsh, three great-grandchildren, three nephews, and two nieces.

FAIRFAX - Ms. Lottie Elizabeth Wilson Harvey died Friday, October 25, 2002 in the Bamberg Regional Hospital. She was born June 2, 1914 near Martin, SC, the daughter of the late Annie Johnson and Kelin Wilson.
Surviving are 3 sons: Don Wilson Harvey of Allendale, W. Alfred Harvey, Jr. of Newberry, and Thomas Ray Harvey of Lakeland, FL, and their three wives; 3 brothers: Loyd Wilson of Brunson, Huey Wilson of North Augusta, and Leon Wilson of Decateur, GA. There are 7 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held 3:00 PM Sunday in the Fairfax cemetery with Rev. Jay Kieve officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Fairfax cemetery fund. SMITH-RHODEN FUNERAL HOME is in charge of arrangements.

BRINSON, Freddie
Freddie Leo Brinson, 69, of Charleston, died Friday, October 25, 2002. Born June 25, 1933, in McClellanville, S.C., he was the son of Peter and Trease Brinson (nee Mitchum.) Mr. Brinson was a fireman for the City of Charleston for 21 years. He was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels and also worked as a driver for a rehabilitation center. As a former resident of Orlando, Fla., he worked as a security guard. He is survived by his son Dennis J. Brinson, West Ashley; three daughters, Donna Postell, Ladson, Dale Brinson, and Darlene Huchinson, both of Moncks Corner; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and former wife and good friend Mary Brinson, Charleston. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, November 2, 2002, at his son's, Dennis, home 1731 Tomoka Drive, Charleston, S.C. 29407. Andrew J. Rock, 80, of Goose Creek, died Friday, October 25, 2002, at a local hospital. Born October 5, 1922, in Scranton, Pennsylvania, he was the son of Andrew Rock, Jr., and Grace A. Rock (nee Naughton). Mr. Rock was a WWII veteran having served in the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of St. Timothy's Lutheran Church and a life member of the Dorchester Masonic Lodge #369. He was predeceased by his wife, Winifred Helen Rock and by his second wife, Marjorie C. Rock. He is survived by his son, James A. Rock, Charleston; two daughters, Elizabeth Turner, Seminole, Fla., and Carol Herman, West Chester, PA; brother, J.P. Rock, St. Petersburg, FLA; sister, Mary Grace Kennedy, Scranton, PA; five grandchildren, David, Beth, Shannon, Kyle, and Chad; and one great-granddaughter, Nicole.
