AUGUSTA, GA. - Mrs. Eva Marie Fusco Czech, 57, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, October 26, 2002, at Doctors Hospital.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m., Monday, October 28, 2002, at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church with Father Bob Cushing officant.
Survivors include sons, Bryan Czech, Jesup, Ga., and Jeffery Czech, Augusta; brothers, John Fusco Poughkeepsie, N.Y., and Peter Fusco, Kissimmee, Fla.; sisters, Teresa Dunsky, Syracuse, N.Y., Paula Stone, Schenectady, N.Y., and Josepha Salvo, Scotia, N.Y.; mother, Francis Decrescenzo, Mechanicville, N.Y., and granddaughter, Kaylee Czech, Jesup, Ga.
Mrs. Czech was a communicant of St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church and associated with A.S.P.C.A. and the Boy Scouts of America for most of her life.

BURN, Joseph
Joseph T. Burn, 75, of 49 Longwood Drive, Aiken, S.C., died Friday, October 25, 2002, at his residence after an illness.
Graveside service will be held on Monday, October 28, 2002, at 11 a.m., in the Welsh Neck Baptist Church cemetery in Society Hill, S.C., conducted by the Reverend Tom Rutan and directed by KISTLER-HARDEE FUNERAL HOME OF DARLINGTON.
Mr. Burn was born in Society Hill, a son of the late Frank H. and Sarah Treacy Burn. He retired from the Savannah River Plant in Aiken and was a former member of the Welch Neck Baptist Church. Mr. Burn served in the U.S. Navy.
Survivors include his wife, Gemma B. Burn of the home, one son, Joseph T. (Ellen) Burn, Jr., of Jacksonboro, S.C., two daughters, Sarah E. Burn of Columbia, S.C., and Martha B. (Cliff) Tate of Maitland, Fla., one step-son, Michael Joseph Fournier of Charlotte, N.C., two step-daughters, Elizabeth Angela Fournier of Chapel Hill, N.C., and Michelle Denise Fournier of Charleston, S.C., one brother, Frank H. (Trivia) Burn, Jr., of Charlotte, N.C., two sisters, Sarah Martha B. (William) Moore and Florence B. Johnson, both of Columbia, S.C., one half-sister, Julia B. (Dwight) Ham of Atlanta, Ga., four grandchildren, J.T., Ashton, Bronson, and Whitt, and two step-grandchildren, Jessica and Michael.

Arthur Nicholas Corontzes, 78, a retired librarian at the Citadel and widower of Helen Carabatos Corontzes, died Saturday, October 26, 2002, at his residence. Mr. Corontzes was born in Charleston, S.C., on November 17, 1923, a son of Nick and Mary Trapalis Corontzes. He graduated from the High School of Charleston, received a double major in English and French from the University of South Carolina and earned a Masters Degree from Emory University in Library Science. Mr. Corontzes was a member of the Greek Orthodox Church of the Holy Trinity, loved books, music, the arts and a good meal. He is survived by a daughter, Maria Corontzes Alfieris of Charleston; two sons, Dina A. Corontzes of Columbia and Niko A. Corontzes of Mt. Pleasant; one sister, Katina C. Manos of Charleston and six grandchildren, John and Eleni Alfieris of Charleston; John and Eleni Alfieris of Charleston, Arthur and Beach Corontzes of Columbia and Christopher and Elizabeth Corontzes of Mt. Pleasant.

HAMPTON - Mr. Howard W. "Jack" Godley, 72, husband of Loraine Thomas Godley, of 1194 Charleston Highway, died Saturday morning in the Hampton Regional Medical Center, after an extended illness. He was a former residence of Beaufort.
Mr. Godley was born March 7, 1930, the son of the late Jade Russell Godley and Henrietta Connelly Godley, at Oaks Plantation, St. Helena Island, S.C. He was a retired farmer and construction superintendent. He was of the Methodist faith.
Surviving are, his wife of Hampton; sons, George Howard Godley, of Beaufort, Christopher Thomas Godley and wife Pam, of Beaufort, and Jade Russell Godley and wife Kim of Beaufort; granddaughters, Ashley, and Kate, and grandson John; sisters, Gertrude G. McAlhaney of Lady's Island, Rhoda G. Rentz, Beaufort, Barbara G. Rodgers, Crossville, Tenn., and Joyce G. Golden, St. Helena Island.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Tuesday, at Copeland's Funeral Home, Beaufort, conducted by the Rev. Paul Reid and Rev. Mitchell Houston. Burial will follow in Beaufort Memorial Gardens. Born in Paulding County, Ga., daughter of the late Bennett Babb and the late Lila McClung Babb, she was a housewife and made her home in Jackson, S.C., in 1955, where she remained until 2001. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Jackson, S.C. Mrs. Newman's family was very important to her.

Mrs. Green was born June 27, 1931, in Dorchester, S.C., a daughter of the late James Green and Mrs. Idella Jackson Green. She attended the public schools of Dorchester County and was a life-long member of the Morris Chapel United Methodist Church where she served for many years as a former Sunday School Teacher.
Surviving are two sons, James A. Green of Columbia, S.C., and Jimmie (Rose) Parler of Dorchester, S.C.; four daughters, Mary Ann (John) Freeman of Summerville, S.C., Doris (Dennis) Green, Shirley (Kindile) Stewart, and Judy (Tyrone) Martino all of Dorchester, S.C., an additional daughter-in-law, Trina Green of Orangeburg, S.C. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Sally Lorie Puckett Nunnally, 54, of Summerville, wife of Charles A. Nunnley, died Friday, in a Charleston hospital.
Funeral services will be held, Tuesday, October 29, 2002, at 3 o'clock, in James A. Dyal Funeral Home Chapel, Summerville. Private inurnment will be in Grace Episcopal Church, Charleston.

Mrs. Nunnally was born August 24, 1948, in Charleston, S.C., a daughter of Sarah Powell Puckett of Charleston and the late Carl Puckett. She was a graduate of Hanahan High School and had been a volunteer with Summerville Meals on Wheels. Mrs. Nunnally retired as a Directory Assistance Operator with Bell South, due to declining health. She was a member of Grace Episcopal Church, Charleston, and was a former member of St. George's Episcopal Church, Summerville.
Surviving are, her husband of Summerville; her mother of Charleston; two daughters, Sarah Elizabeth Nunnally of Summerville, Heather Alicia Nunnally Waggener and her husband Roger of Jackson, Miss.; grandchildren, Ashley Corrine Waggener and Charles Adam Waggener of Jackson, Miss.; two brothers, Mike Puckett and Rick Puckett of Charleston; three sisters, Barbara Puckett Hyatt of Dorchester, Carla Puckett Vann of Summerville, Jane Puckett Eggerton of North Charleston.

Ernest Hough, Jr., 67, of Summerville, husband of Harriett George Hough, died Friday evening at his residence.

Mr. Hough was a U.S. Army veteran and a retired dispatcher with Cement Transport, Inc., of Harleyville. He was of the Pentecostal Holiness faith.
