CHAMBERLIN, Barbara
Barbara F. Chamberlin, age 67, of Charleston, South Carolina formerly of Ramsey and Allendale, NJ died peacefully on October 19, 2002. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Barbara is predeceased by her husband, the late Dr. Martin R. Chamberlin (June, 2002). She will be greatly missed by her nine children Onnie Boe, Marc Chamberlin, Danette Fulk, Matthew Chamberlin, Luke Chamberlin, John Chamberlin, Rachel Schwanewede, Paul Chamberlin and Peter Chamberlin. She was a loving grandmother to Bronwen, Miranda, Tess, Kyle, Shannon, Emily, Teague, Martine, Connor, Lauren and Caroline. A beloved daughter to the late Hazel Haug (April 2002), mother-in-law to several and aunt to her many nieces and nephews, she is also survived by her stepfather Otto Haug, her brother James Fiore and her sister Marilynn Goode. Barbara was a registered nurse, the mother of nine children, grandmother of eleven, and foster mother to 12 newborns. She was the charter president of the Ramsey Junior Women's Club, chairman of the Ramsey Cheerleading Association, a founding member of the Ramsey Soccer Association, chairman of the Ramsey Recreation Commission, president and member of the Good Samaritan Hospital Guild and director of the local chapter of the American Heart Association annual fund drive. She was a parishioner and lector at St. Paul R.C. Church in Ramsey and The Church of the Presentation in Upper Saddle River. Barbara was the quintessential friend and "mother" to so many who cherished her generous love and charity. She will be dearly missed. Friends and family will be received on Tuesday, October 22 from 2-4 and 6-9 at VAN EMBURGH-SNEIDER FUNERAL HOME, 109 Darlington Ave., Ramsey. A Funeral Mass of Barbara's life will be celebrated on Wednesday October 23, 2002 at 10 a.m. at St. Paul R.C. Church, 193 Wyckoff Ave., Ramsey, NJ. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Dr. Martin and Barbara Chamberlin Memorial Foundation, 350 Canterbury Drive, Ramsey, NJ 07446. Proceeds to be dedicated to rebuilding children's parks and play areas in Ramsey, NJ.
JACKSON, Hubert
BRITTON'S NECK, S.C. - Hubert James Jackson, age 77, of Britton's Neck, S.C., died Thursday, October 24, 2002. Born in Horry County, S.C., he was the son of the late King and Nancy Jernigan Jackson and a retired farmer.
Mr. Jackson was predeceased by two brothers, Clarence Jackson and William King Jackson.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Saturday, October 26, 2002, at MEARES FUNERAL HOME, MULLINS, S.C.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., Sunday, October 27, 2002, at Meares Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jim Kirkland officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Hope cemetery, Florence, S.C.

ROCK, Andrew
Andrew J. Rock, 80, of Goose Creek, died Friday, October 25, 2002, at a local hospital. Born October 5, 1922, in Scranton, Pennsylvania, he was the son of Andrew Rock, Jr., and Grace A. Rock (nee Naughton). Mr. Rock was a WWII veteran having served in the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of St. Timothy's Lutheran Church and a life member of the Dorchester Masonic Lodge #369. He was predeceased by his wife, Winifred Helen Rock and by his second wife, Marjorie C. Rock. He is survived by his son, James A. Rock, Charleston; two daughters, Elizabeth Turner, Seminole, Fla., and Carol Herman, West Chester, PA; brother, J.P. Rock, St. Petersburg, FLA; sister, Mary Grace Kennedy, Scranton, PA; five grandchildren, David, Beth, Shannon, Kyle, and Chad; and one great-granddaughter, Nicole. Mrs. Huggins died October 25, 2002, at her residence. She was born in Branchville, S.C., on June 11, 1932, she was the daughter of the late George Henry Hughes and Lottie Gossett Hughes.

Hughes, Mt. Pleasant, S.C.; William M. Hughes, Bluefield, W.Va. A God-daughter Lea Jenkins of Clemson University faculty. She was preceded in death by George H. Hughes, Jr.

KINGSTREE - Emily Ann Hanna, 53, died Friday.
Miss Hanna was born in Williamsburg County, a daughter of Marguerite McClary Hanna and Samuel McBride Hanna. She attended Williamsburg County Schools.
Survivors: 4 brothers, Henley Hanna and Charles Hanna, both of Kingstree, Samuel Hanna of Manning, and Phil Hanna of Bonneau.

Mr. Boykin, 52, was born in Bishopville, South Carolina on June 22, 1950, a son of Halton Burt Boykin and Ora Mae Denton Boykin Tobias. Mr. Boykin was a retired dispatcher with Chassilors Trucking. He had attended Charleston Southern University and had worked at the Charleston Air Force Base in maintenance at the golf shop.
Surviving are his wife of Hanahan, SC; his mother of Darlington, SC; four step-daughters, Leslie Gaschler of Mystic, CT, Kathryn Nash of Summerfield, NC, Kim Howell of White Plains, KY, Donna Lancaster of Louisville, KY; one brother, Tony Boykin of Nichols, SC; seven grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
BROWN, Kathryn
SAVANNAH - Kathryn Horton Brown, age 59, died October 24th from Breast Cancer.
She was born in Anderson, SC to John & Helen Horton and grew up in Kingstree, SC. She graduated from Kingstree High School and Winthrop College. Kathy taught high school English in North Carolina and at Hancock Day School in Savannah. She and her husband Terry met in the 5th grade and married
in 1964. Kathy and Terry lived at the Landings for 12 years where they raised their two daughters Ashley and Caroline, and they founded the newspaper, "This Week at the Landings." They also were residents of Tybee Island for 12 years.
Kathy was the beloved mother of "Gigi", grandchild Helen Grayson Brown of Savannah.
Surviving is her husband, Terrence C. Brown, daughters, Ashley & Caroline Brown, granddaughter, Helen G. Brown, all of Savannah; sisters, Helen Stonestreet of Lake Norman, NC, Della Jo Williams of Seneca, SC, and a brother, Josh Horton of Georgetown, SC.
Memorial Services will be Saturday, October 26 at 3pm, All Saints Episcopal Church on Tybee Island.
