TYSON, JR., Frank
GEORGETOWN - Frank Jenion Bo Tyson, Jr., 80, died Tuesday, October 22, 2002, at his residence.
Mr. Tyson was born in Georgetown on August 3, 1922, a son of the late Frank Jenion Tyson and Susie Peal Tyson. He grew up in Georgetown, graduated from Porter-Gaud in Charleston, and attended the University of Florida. Mr. Tyson served in the Navy during World War II and in the Naval Reserve for a number of years. He was the former owner of Tyson Lumber Co. and Tyson Pulpwood Corp. Mr. Tyson served on the board for the Rural Community Water District of Georgetown County for 37 years. He was a member of the Navy Club.
Surviving are: his wife, Verline Jenkins Tomlin Tyson of Georgetown; three sons, Phillip Q. Tyson of Georgetown, Frank J. Tyson, III of Pawley’s Island, and Thomas A. Tomlin of Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.; two daughters, Velva T. Ellerbe of Georgetown and Cynthia T. Soles of Conway; four sisters, Frankie T. Blalock and Margaret T. Marsh, both of Greensboro, N.C., Nell T. Jernigan of Atlanta, Ga., and Dorothy T. Bridger of Kure Beach, N.C.; twelve grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Thursday morning, October 24, 2002, at eleven o’clock at First Baptist Church. Officiating will be The Rev. Dr. J. M. Kirkland and The Rev. Laurie McAlpine. Burial will follow in Elmwood cemetery Annex under the direction of the GEORGETOWN CHAPEL OF MAYER FUNERAL HOME.
The family will receive friends Wednesday evening, October 23, 2002, from six until eight at the funeral home.

BRIDGE, Alva
ST. GEORGE, S.C. - Mrs. Alva Mullally Shuler Bridge, 85, of 1841 Highway 15 South, St. George died Monday October 21, 2002 in Oakwood Healthcare Center, Walterboro, SC.
Funeral Services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Grover United Methodist Church with Rev. Larry Watson officiating. Burial will follow in the St. George cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tracy Keller, Carl Phillips, Clay Phillips, Gary McCraw, Mike Sitsch, and Collins McGraw.
Mrs. Bridge was born August 30, 1917 in Grover, SC a daughter of the late Dr. William Pinckney Shuler and Mary Francesco (Mamie) Westbury. She was a graduate of St. George High School in 1934 and attended Business school in Gainesville, Florida. A member of Grover United Methodist Church where she was organist and pianist for 40 years. She was a charter member and Past Worthy Matron of the St. George Chapter #166 of Order of Eastern Star. Alva was predeceased by a sister, Gladys S. Murray.
Surviving are: her beloved husband of 64 years, Ralph W. Bridge, St. George, 3 daughters, Kay Frances (Thomas) McAlhany, St. George, Mary Jane (Darwin) Keller, and Marcia Alva (Danny) Phillips, all of Spartanburg, 8 Grandchildren; Julie (Gary) McCraw, Tracy (Lynn) Keller, Carl T. Phillips, Clay B. Phillips, Amy M. Phillips, all of Spartanburg, Candace (Thomas) Gordon, Syracuse, NY. Jarrod R. Keller, Boston, MA, Gwen (Mike) Sitsch, Irmo, SC. Burley of Columbia, SC; three granddaughters: Jennifer Gray and her husband Barry of Blythewood, SC, Shelby Sullivan and her husband Matt of Lexington, SC and Angela Rourk of James Island, SC; one great grandson: Logan Sullivan of Lexington, SC.

KEATS, Sandra
Sandra Bogin Keats died Monday, October 21, 2002. Born in New York City, March 26, 1931, resided in Dockside Apartments, Charleston, SC.
Sandra attended grade school in Charleston, SC and graduated from Ashley Hall Girls School with History honors in her Junior year. She was a life member of Kahal Kadosh Beth Elohim Synagogue. She graduated Sunday School and was confirmed there in 1946. She attended the University of Georgia and two other colleges in the north.
After her years of marriage in Miami, Florida, she returned to Charleston, SC. Her husband, Richard Keats and their son David Keats were killed in a plane crash.
She was a devoted member of the Council of Jewish Women for over 40 years and she was a sustaining member of K. K. Beth Elohim Sisterhood.
One son survives her: Steven Keats and his wife Jodi of Fort Lauderdale, FL and their two children, Ryan and Jacklin Keats. Her father, George Bogin and her mother, Daisy Bogin preceded her in death, owners of a prestigious ladies apparel shop on King Street for over 40 years.
Burial will be at 1 o'clock, Wednesday, October 23, 2002 at the graveside in Emanu-El cemetery "Maryville" with Rabbi Anthony D. Holz officiating with Rabbi Chezi Zionce.

Services will be held at 9:30 on Friday, October 25, 2002 in the Chapel of Kopicki Funeral Home, Kingston, Pa., with interment following in St. Mary's Annunciation cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. and from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at Kopicki Funeral Home.
Born in Kingston, Mr. Paternoster was a 2001 graduate of Summerville High School in Summerville, S.C. Serving in the United States Air Force, Airman First Class Paternoster was an electronics technician who worked on C-5 cargo jets at Robins Air Force Base.
