PESCH, Marie
Known for kindness, a sense of humor, a twinkle in her eye, and a fervent belief in accepting God's will, Marie (Schneider) Pesch, formerly of Buffalo, New York, began her final journey home on October 11, 2002.
A Buffalo native for the majority of her life, Marie was an alumnus of Annunciation Nardin Academy and D'Youville College. Marie enjoyed her monthly sorority meetings and the friendship of the Charade Club. After raising the children, Marie worked part-time at Western Savings Bank. She served as an Eucharistic Minister in Buffalo and at St. Theresa's here in Summerville.
Marie's biggest and most fulfilling triumph was raising six children in the spiritual covenant of marriage with her husband Arthur C. Pesch. Marie and her husband celebrated a very lively and memorable 50th wedding anniversary in May 1999 with all of their children, grandchildren, brother and his family, nieces, and nephews, in attendance. With a ready smile, an eagerness for harmless "spoofery, " and an endless faith, Marie always exuded a can-do attitude. These attributes, along with her huband's, have been lovingly given to their six children: Arthur, Dennis, David, Linda, Mary Ellen, and Elizabeth, and nine grandchildren, Meghan, AJ, Chelsea, Emily, Daniel, Alexandria, Cassandra, and Joshua.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Palmetto Health Hospice, P.O. Box 50820, Summerville, S.C. 29485. Private interment will be in Forest Lawn cemetery, Buffalo, New York.
