TRUELOVE, D.R.
D.R. Truelove, the husband of Helen Inez Smith Truelove and resident of Goose Creek, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest on the afternoon of December 7, 2002. The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. D.R. Truelove are invited to attend the funeral services of the former in Deer Park Baptist Church, Wednesday morning, December 11, 2002 at 11 o'clock. Mr. Truelove was born in Harnett County, North Carolina on December 1, 1923, the son of the late Leonard Price and Eunis Florence Baker Truelove. Mr. Truelove attended Cary High School, Cary, NC and served his country in the United States Marine Corps as a Sergeant during World War II, in the First Special Division of Guadalcanal. Mr. Truelove began as a charter member of Deer Park Baptist Church forty-five years ago and served as a deacon and a member of the Senior Men's Sunday School Class. Mr. Truelove was a retired Chief of the Naval Weapons Station Fire Department and was the originator of the Goose Creek Rural Volunteer Fire Department, having served as the first Chief of that department, as well as a member of the Tri-County Firefighters Association. Among his other memberships are a Past Master of Goose Creek Lodge #410, A.F.M., Scottish Rite Body, and Omar Temple Shrine where he held membership in the "Hundred Million Club" and achieved Medal of Honor fez with 100, 000 point pin.
Surviving are his wife of Goose Creek, SC; two sons, Alan Ray Truelove of San Diego, CA and Mark A. Truelove of Goose Creek, SC; three grandsons: Derrick Truelove, Julian Truelove, and Nigel Truelove; and a granddaughter, Imagine Truelove.

CROSS - Mr. Shuruz A. Green, 54, of 1111 Spring Plain Road, Cross, SC, died December 4, 2002 at the VA Hospital in Charleston.
Funeral services will be 1 PM Monday, December 9, 2002 at Jehovah AME Church, Cross, SC, Rev. H.E. Hunter, officiating. Burial will be in Zion cemetery, Cross, SC, directed by EUTAWVILLE COMMUNITY FUNERAL HOME. Pallbearers will be Frank Green, Herman Davis, Jamel Davis, William Singleron, Horace McCray and Reginald President. Honorary pallbearers, Arnold Frazier, Rodney F. Frazier and Preston Anderson.
Shuruz Ali Green, the son of the late Serena Green and Secendea Ali, was born on October 1, 1948. He attended the public schools of Bronx, NY. He met and married
Ernestine D. Green. From this union, five children were born. During his early ages, he attended Mt. Olive Baptist Church in New York, NY. Upon moving to South Carolina, he joined Moncks Corner AME Church in Moncks Corner, SC. He later joined Jehovah AME Church where he served on several auxiliaries in the church. He was part of the church ministerial staff and he conducted the children's sermons on Sunday morning.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Ernestine Green of the home; one son, Omar Green of Cross, SC; four daughters: Selina Green of Columbia, SC; Kianga Green, Khaleelah Green and Aqueelah Green, all of Cross, SC; two sisters, Ms. Bertha Nesbit and Mrs. Olive Ali Wu of Bronx, NY; one brother, Houson Ali Green, who preceded him in death.

WILDER, Michael
Michael S. "Mike" Wilder, 33, of Summerville, died Friday evening in a Summerville hospital.
The family will receive friends at James A. Dyal Funeral Home, Summerville, from 6 until 8 o'clock this evening.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 9, 2002 at 2 o'clock in Summerville Pentecostal Holiness Church, 1816 Bacons Bridge Road, Summerville. Burial will be in Dorchester Memory Gardens, 11000 Dorchester Road, Summerville.
Mr. Wilder was born May 10, 1969 in Boynton Beach, Florida, a son of Sherlin Wilder and Dorothy Creel Wilder. He attended Summerville High School. Mr. Wilder was an employee with Charleston Container Maintenance and he worked part-time detailing automobiles with Oakbrook Carwash. He attended Summerville Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Surviving are: a son, Spencer Bates Wilder of Ladson; mother, Dorothy Creel Wilder of Summerville; father, Sherlin Wilder of Charleston; brother, Thomas Rodriguez of Missouri; sister, Enola Clark of Cottageville.

DELOACH, Bernard
HARDEEVILLE - Mr. Bernard William DeLoach, 70, of Hardeeville, died early Saturday morning in the Trident Medical Center in Summerville after a brief illness.
Born September 8, 1932 in Hampton County, he was the son of the late Arthur Wilson DeLoach and Lottie Winn DeLoach. He had been a plantation manager before his retirement and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a devoted member of the Church of God of Prophecy in Ridgeland, where he was the Sunday School Superintendent and a gifted musician in the church.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Mildred Wall DeLoach of the home; his step-mother, Jenny DeLoach of Lena, SC; sons and daughters-in-law: Allen DeLoach and wife, Donna, of Guyton, GA, Carl DeLoach and wife, Sheila, of Hardeeville and Richard DeLoach of Hardeeville; four step-brothers: Roger DeLoach of Walterboro, Ravanel DeLoach of Ridgeland, Marvin DeLoach of Pineland and Daniel DeLoach of Lena; three step-sisters: Voncil Shipes and Jeanette Crosby, both of Grays and Geneva Jarrell of Nixville. There are ten grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 PM in the Nixville Church of God of Prophecy with burial following in the church cemetery, directed by PEEPLES-RHODEN FUNERAL HOME of Hampton.

MOSLEY, Ruby
OCEAN ISLE BEACH, NC - Ruby Forrest Mosley, 82, of Oceanview Drive SW, died Friday, December 6, 2002 in the Brunswick Community Hospital.
Mrs. Mosley was born on December 19, 1919 in Saluda County, SC. She was the daughter of the late Thomas Jefferson and Minnie Matthews Mosley. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene F. Mosley.
She is survived by her son, Nelson Brown, Augusta, GA; one daughter, Kathy Varnell, Ocean Isle Beach, SC; one sister, Emmie Goff, Saluda, SC; one niece, Maureen A. Baudein; and one nephew, Jimmy Adams, both of Charleston, SC; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 AM on Monday, December 9th in the Carolina Memorial Park, North Charleston, SC. Entombment will follow in the mausoleum.

MONTOYA, Juan
Petty Officer 1st Class Juan Leroy Montoya, US Navy (Ret.), 68, of Summerville, husband of Elizabeth Loan Montoya, died Thursday, December 5, 2002 at Summerville Medical Center.
The family will receive friends at James D. Dyal Funeral Home, Summerville from 6 until 8 o'clock Monday evening. Funeral service and burial will be private.
Mr. Montoya was born August 29, 1934 in Santa Fe, New Mexico, the son of the late Augenio Montoya, Sr. and Eduvigs Sedillo Montoya. He was a graduate of St. Michael's Academy, Santa Fe, New Mexico. He was a mason and a shriner. He was a United States Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict and Vietnam War. Mr. Montoya was a retired civil service employee, having worked as a maintenance supervisor with Short Stay in Moncks Corner and he was employed by Dorchester County School system as a bus driver.
He attended Northwood's Assembly.
Surviving are: wife, Elizabeth Ann Loan Montoya of Summerville; two sons, Earl F. Dickson, Jr. of Summerville and Frederick Lynn Dickson of Kansas City, KS; two daughters, Lisa Marie Crossland of Illinois and Maida Elizabeth Thacker of Summerville; five grandchildren; two brothers, Ernest Montoya of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Benjamin Montoya of Cocoa Beach, Florida; one sister, Maida Durr of Santa Fe, New Mexico.

FLORENCE - Patricia A. Riley, 104, died Saturday, December 7, 2002, in a local nursing facility after an illness.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m., Monday, December 9, 2002, at St. Lawrence cemetery in Charleston, S.C., directed by WATERS-POWER FUNERAL HOME OF FLORENCE.
Miss Riley was born in Charleston, a daughter of the late Alex A. and Ellen Sullivan Riley. She attended the College of Charleston and was a graduate of the University of South Carolina. She taught school for many years in the Charleston Public Schools and was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Florence.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Annie Riley, Grace Riley, and Lillie Riley and two brothers, Andrew Riley and John Riley.
Surviving are two nieces, Patsy Riley Brown of Florence and Jerry Riley Trotter of Pelzer.
