Ingrid Linden Krebs

TIFTON, Ga. - Ingrid Linden Krebs, 71, died Sunday, February 12, 2017 at her residence.

A private family graveside service will be held in Cheraw, South Carolina at a later date.

Mrs. Krebs was born on January 24, 1946 in Kyllburg, Germany to Maria Mueller Linden of Bitburg, Germany and the late Fridolin Linden. She was married to William Thomas Krebs of Tifton for 53 years.

Mrs. Krebs is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Jackie and Ron Hatchell of Columbia, SC and two grandchildren, Alexandria Hatchell and Jacob Hatchell. She was preceded in death by one sister, Barbara Meyer and two sons, William Krebs, Jr. and Robert Krebs.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, P.O. Box 1000 Memphis, TN 38148-0142 or Shriners Hospital for Children, 950 West Faris Rd Greenville, SC 29605.

Jimmy Mitchell Jordan

PAGELAND - Mr. Jimmy Mitchell Jordan, 68, of Pageland, South Carolina went to be with his Lord on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 while surrounded by his loving family.

Mr. Jimmy Mitchell Jordan was born on July 17, 1948 in Monroe, NC to Clarence P. Jordan and Sudie Eubanks Jordan. Jimmy started Jim’s Variety and was the owner and operator of Goob’s Restaurant in Pageland. He was a former member of the Pageland Rescue Squad and Fire Department. Jimmy was a member of Zion United Methodist Church and a lifetime member of the Mt. Moriah 58 Masonic Lodge and also a member of the Sandhill Shrine Club. He was an avid Nascar and Football fan.

Those left to celebrate and remember his life include his parents, Clarence P. and Sudie Eubanks Jordan of Pageland, SC, son, Mitchell Jordan (Cindy) of Pageland, SC and daughter, Cynthia Parker of Pageland, SC, step-daughter, Deborah Kelley (Brian) of Florence, SC, sister, Lou Ellen Rowell (Richard) of Pageland, SC, grandchildren, Zachary Parker, Allie Parker, Peyton Parker, Bethany Jordan and Preston Jordan all of Pageland, SC and nephew, Matthew Johnson of Pageland, SC.

A Celebration of Life Funeral Service was held at 3:00 PM on Friday, February 24, 2017 at Zion United Methodist Church with Pastor James Lewis and Pastor Roger Wall officiating. The burial followed at Greenlawn Memorial Park of Pageland with Masonic Rites.

The family received friends from 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM. on Friday, February 24, 2017 at Zion United Methodist Church in Zion Hall.

Richard ‘Dick’ Emmett Kresge

CHERAW - Richard “Dick” Emmett Kresge, 82, died Friday, February 24, 2017. Born in Elizabeth, NJ he was the son of the late Fred M. and Margaret Gasper Kresge. He was a US Navy Veteran and a member of the American Legion, Post #23. He was retired from Cooper-Weller Tools as an Engineer. He enjoyed golf and serving his community. He was a faithful and devoted husband and loved his wife dearly. He was a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather.

Surviving is his wife, Ruth E. Kresge (married 59 years) of Cheraw, SC, a son, Jeff (Susan) Kresge of Hattiesburg, MS, daughters, Linda Kresge of Cheraw, SC, Karen (Robbie) Pope of Pinebluff, NC, Michelle K. (Mac) Estridge of Chapin, SC, eleven grandchildren and one great grandchild.

The family received friends 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at Kiser Funeral Home, Cheraw, SC.

Julia Logue

ROCK HILL - Mrs. Julia “Ju-Ju” Elizabeth Rainwater Logue, 91, previously of Greenville, SC, died on Friday, February 17, 2017 at the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House in Rock Hill, SC.

A memorial service will be held at 3pm on Saturday, March 4, 2017 in the Main Activity Room at Rolling Green Village, 1 Hoke Smith Blvd, Greenville, SC 29615. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. Burial will be private.

Born in Cheraw, SC, Ju-Ju was the fifth child of the late Jessie Belk Rainwater and the late Franklin Pierce Rainwater. After finishing high school in Cheraw, she went on to obtain a BS degree in nursing from Duke University. While at Duke, she worked as a supervisor in the hospital.

After graduation, Ju-Ju returned to Cheraw and worked as an industrial nurse and later served as director of nursing at Anderson Hospital in Anderson SC while her husband, Don, finished Clemson.

Later, she decided her true calling in life was to be a pre-school teacher and she obtained her certification in early childhood education in Charlotte before serving as a teacher in Charlotte, Cherry Hill, New Jersey, Greensboro and then finally at First Presbyterian Church in Greenville where she retired. Her students, parents, and co-workers loved her very much.

She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Greenville and a member of PEO. Ju-Ju was a loving wife, mother and friend to many. She touched many lives over the years as a pre-school teacher and will be deeply missed.

Surviving are her husband of 64 years, Don Logue of Rock Hill; her son, Charles Logue of Rock Hill; and her sister, Piercy Parker of Sumter. She was preceded in death by her brother, Bill Rainwater and her sisters, Eleanor Havird and Agnes Copeland.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Ju-Ju’s name to Meals on Wheels, 15 Oregon St, Greenville, SC 29605; or to Hospice & Community Care, PO Box 993, Rock Hill, SC 29731.

Shirley C. Sellers

PATRICK - Mrs. Shirley C. Sellers, age 75, entered into rest on Thursday, February 9, 2017. Graveside Services were held at 3:00 PM Saturday, February 11, 2017 at Lower Macedonia Memorial Gardens by Dr. Lindsay Powell and Phillip Caulder, Jr. The family received friends immediately following the service at the cemetery and other times at the home of Scott and Tammy Sellers.
Mrs. Sellers was born December 28, 1941 in Chesterfield County, SC a daughter of the late Bronson Curry and Cora Lee McQuaige Curry. She was a former employee of Crown Cork & Seal and a member of Lower Macedonia Baptist Church. Mrs. Sellers enjoyed traveling, and was always ready for a trip. Her hobbies included playing games on her iPad and watching Fox News. Her greatest joy in her life was her family, and she treasured time spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Shirley was also preceded in death by 1 brother, John L. Curry, Sr.; sister-in-law, Carolyn Curry; and brothers-in-law, Lewis Rice, Thomas Harpe, Lawrence King, Johnny Eslick, and Dick Judd.
Survivors include her husband, Richard A. Sellers, Sr. of the home; 4 sons, Richard A. (Elaine) Sellers, Jr., Kenneth Wayne (Regina) Sellers, Scott (Tammy) Sellers, and Timothy (Michelle) Sellers all of Patrick, SC; grandchildren, Jonathan (Erica) Sellers of Cheraw, SC, Kristy (Josh) Zearfoss, and Steven (Ashley) Sellers both of Chesterfield, SC, Brandon (Deana) Sellers of Cheraw, SC, Zachary Sellers (Madison), Josh Sellers, Amber (Joe) Mason, Shayna Sellers, and Landon Sellers all of Patrick, SC, Stephanie (Ande) Anderson of Cheraw, SC, and Megan Sellers of Patrick, SC; great-grandchildren, Dawson, Aleeyha, Emery, Madden, Channing, Denym, Korleigh, Easton, Ella, Alexis, and Blair; brother, B.C. (Millie) Curry of Lexington, SC, sisters, Elizabeth “Lib” Rice of Lexington, SC, Sue Harpe of Cheraw, SC, Dolores (Glenn) McLain of Patrick, SC, Estelle (Tracy) Montgomery of W. Ruby B. Smith

CHESTERFIELD - Mrs. Ruby B. Smith, age 85, entered into rest on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at her home. Funeral Services were held at 2:00 PM Saturday, February 25, 2017 from the Chapel of Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home by Phillip Caulder, Jr. with burial following in the Shiloh United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family greeted friends from 1:00 – 2:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Smith was born September 10, 1931 in Chesterfield, SC a daughter of the late Clarence Frank and Vera Virginia Davidson Ballard. She was a retired employee of Chesterfield County Public Schools where she was a beloved Study Hall Monitor and cafeteria worker. Mrs. Smith was a faithful member of Chesterfield Baptist Church and was a member of the Adult Choir. She was a lady who never met a stranger, and will be fondly remembered for her contagious personality.

In addition to her parents, Ruby was also preceded in death by her husband, James T. Smith; 4 sisters, Lera B. King, Omogene B. Eargle, Vera B. White, and Jackie B. Thrush; 2 half-sisters, Debra Ballard and Laura Sheppard; and by 1 grandson, Eden Smith.

Survivors include her 2 sons, Dean (Donna) Smith of Murrells Inlet, SC and Kendall (Karen) Smith of Chesterfield, SC, daughter, Sandra Smith of Chesterfield, SC; 3 grandchildren, Samantha Smith of Murrells Inlet, SC and Dawn Smith (Larry) Lewis of Hartsville, SC; great grandson, Brycen Thomas Lewis; sister, Virginia B. King of Chesterfield, SC; 2 half-brothers, Tommy Ballard of Chesterfield, SC and C.F. Ballard of NC; half-sister, Martha Benenhaley of Mint Hill, NC; sister of the heart, Shirley “Toonie” Mesecher; granddaughter of the heart, Kim Teal of Chesterfield, SC; longtime caretaker and friend, Deborah Turner.

The family would like to express their gratitude and appreciation to Dr. John McLeod and the staff of McLeod Family Medicine and the entire staff of Hospice of Chesterfield County for the love and care shown to Mrs. Smith.

Doris Cole Dixon

WALLACE - Doris Cole Dixon, 68, died Monday, February 13, 2017. Born in Bennettsville, SC, she was a daughter of the late Lance, Sr. and Ethel Barrington Cole. Doris was the widow of James Levern Dixon. She was a member of Cheraw Church of God, enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, crafts and collecting what-nots that she found with her metal detector.

She is survived by sons, Randolph Clayton Gray, and Josha Ray English of Wallace, SC, daughters, Frances Dixon and Carolyn Hargrove of Wallace, SC, a sister, Sadie Cole Davis of Cheraw, SC, a brother, Lance “Buddy” Cole of Wallace, SC, four grandchildren, McKenny Goodale, Acie Hargrove, Lily Grey, and Colby Medin.

She is preceded in death by her husband and parents listed above.

The family received friends 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at Kiser Funeral Home, Cheraw, SC.

A funeral service was held 4:00 PM Thursday, February 16, 2017 at Kiser Funeral Home.

Burial followed in the Chavis Cemetery, Bennettsville, SC.

William Randall McDonald

PATRICK - William Randall McDonald, 67, died Monday, February 13, 2017. Born in Williamsburg County, SC, he was a son of the late William B. and Dorothy Ard McDonald. Mr. McDonald was a Vietnam Veteran, serving his country through the U.S. Army. He enjoyed driving his tractor and feeding his horses. He often spent his time at the beach fishing from the pier.

He is survived by his former wife Linda Wooten McDonald, a son, William Randall McDonald, Jr. of Patrick, SC, daughters, Lucy McDonald Reid of Walterboro, SC, Jacquelyn Kellie Johnson of Cheraw, SC, a sister Margaret (Neil) Jackson of Wallace, SC, six grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents listed above, a brother Larry McDonald, and a sister Deloris M. Schauer.

The family received friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at Kiser Funeral Home, Cheraw, SC.

A graveside service with military honors was held 2:00 PM Thursday, February, 16. 2017 in Chatham Hill Memorial Gardens, Cheraw, SC.

Willie David McGee

CHERAW - Mr. Willie David McGee, age 79, entered into rest Sunday, February 12, 2017 after a prolonged illness. Funeral Services were 3:00 PM Wednesday, February 15, 2017 from the chapel of Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home by Pastor Richie Yow and Rev. Mike Williams with burial following in the David’s Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family greeted friends from 2:00 – 3:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mr. McGee was born May 18, 1937 in Jefferson, SC a son of the late Luther Ansel and Olla Mae Sims McGee. He was the former owner of Pee Dee Pallet & Repair and a member of the S.C. Army National Guard. A faithful and active member of North Cheraw Baptist Church, David enjoyed woodworking, fishing, and traveling and camping at Ocean Lakes Campground.
In addition to his parents, David was also preceded in death by a brother, Edward Franklin McGee, and 2 sisters, Callie Sellers and Vivian White.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 60 years, Sylvia Curtis McGee of the home; daughter, Cynthia McGee Haynes of Cheraw, SC; 2 sons, David Wayne McGee of Cheraw, SC and Robert Lynn McGee of Lexington, SC; grandchildren, Taylor and Zachary Haynes of Cheraw, SC and Hillary and Ryan McGee of Lexington, SC; also numerous nieces and nephews.

Nancy Brown Pierce

WALLACE - Nancy Brown Pierce, 79, died Thursday, February 16, 2017. Born in Patrick, SC, she was a daughter of the late William Manuel and Elizabeth Ingram Brown. She was the widow of James E. Pierce, Sr. She was a member of Wallace Baptist Church. Mrs. Pierce enjoyed gardening, sewing, quilting and was a master chef. She was a loving and caring mother and grandmother.

She is survived by sons, Donnie (Mary) Pierce of Bonneau, SC and Jimmy (Margie) Pierce of Wallace, SC, a daughter, Carolyn Pierce of Florence, SC, a brother, Lester “Bobo” (Renda) Hodge of Cassatt, SC, nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband and parents listed above, brothers, Wilson Brown, Sr., Marion Brown, Neil Brown, Otis Ingram, and sisters, Helen Brown Parker, Sarah Ellen Thomas, Ruby Boone, Agnes Brown, and Patricia Ray.

The family received friends from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, Sunday February 19, 2017 at Kiser Funeral Home.

A funeral service was held 3:00 PM, February 19, 2017 at Kiser Funeral Home.

Burial followed in the Patrick Cemetery.

Madelyn Honeycutt Roscoe

CHESTERFIELD - Mrs. Madelyn Honeycutt Roscoe, age 70, entered into rest on Saturday, February 18, 2017. Funeral Services were held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, February 21, 2017 from the Chapel of Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home by Dr. Ronnie Grizzle and Brent Taylor with burial following in the Thompson Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family greeted friends from 1:00 – 2:00 PM Tuesday, prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Roscoe was born October 13, 1946 in Monroe, NC a daughter of the late William P. and Lorraine Taylor Honeycutt. She was a graduate of Ruby High School, where she was the F.H.A. President and Miss Ruby in 1964. She was a retired employee of Chesterfield Yarn Mills and a former employee of Chesterfield Manufacturing. A faithful and devoted member of Thompson Creek Baptist Church, Mrs. Roscoe served the Lord as former Sunday school teacher, VBS worker, Acteen Leader, and on various other committees through the years.
Mrs. Roscoe will be fondly remembered by her family for her natural curiosity for life. She was a lady who loved God’s creation and was always seeking to learn more. A very talented artist, Madelyn enjoyed painting and drawing. Other hobbies included cooking, gardening and working in her flowers.
In addition to her parents, Madelyn was also preceded in death by her beloved husband of 49 years, Dewitt Roscoe.
Survivors include her children, Paul Roscoe and wife Hope, and Donna Davis and husband, Tommy both of Chesterfield, SC; 7 grandchildren, Morgan Roscoe, Caroline Davis, Macy Roscoe, Trace Davis, Hunter Freeman, Cy Freeman and Keith Freeman; 1 great grandchild, Charlie Kann; twin brother, Steve Honeycutt and wife Pat of Chesterfield, SC; numerous nephews and her precious dog, “Sparky.”

WALLACE - Linda Jo Boan Teal, 70, died Thursday, February 16, 2017. Born in Bennettsville, SC, she was a daughter of the late Curtis and Geneva Walters Boan. She was the widow of Jimmy Teal. Mrs. Teal was a member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church. She loved spending time with her family. She was retired from CitiTrends, where she was a manager for 40 years.

She is survived by a son, Danny Teal of Cheraw, SC, a daughter, Cindy Teal Walters of Wallace, SC, brothers, Nathan Boan of Bennettsville, SC, and Douglas Boan of Hamlet, NC, sisters, Bonnie Leviner of Wallace, SC and Ginnie McMillen of Inglewood, OH, grandchildren, Krystal Teal Bright, Tygerr Teal, Lanie Walters, Page Walters, Jordan Zeigler, Haylie Teal, Jamiey Teal, Legacy Teal, Judah Brown, and 8 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband and parents listed above, brothers, Curtis “Buck” Boan, David Boan, Bradford Boan and Ernest Boan, and a sister, Lorene Hayes.

The family received friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, February 17, 2017 at Kiser Funeral Home.

A funeral service was held 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 18, 2017 at Hickory Grove Baptist Church, Wallace, SC. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
