He was born August 28, 1983 in Brooklyn, NY to Sharron Barno and the late John Barno. Survivors: a special friend, Shevawn Witherspoon, of the home; his mother, Sharron D. Barno, Baltimore, MD; four sons, Antwon James, Jr., Rickey James, Sinia James, and Isaiah Buffong, of the home; a sister, Constance Kemp, Brooklyn, NY; a brother, Rayshawn James, Bennettsville, SC; a grandmother, Mary Miller, Brooklyn, NY; a grandfather, Jack Miller, Brooklyn, NY. Services were rendered by Flemming Funerals-Cheraw. .
Jimmy W. Jenkins
JEFFERSON - Mr. Jimmy W. Jenkins, age 71, entered into rest on Saturday, December 16, 2017, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Funeral Services were held at 3:00 PM Tuesday, December 19, 2017, at Bethel Baptist Church by Hospice Chaplain Rev. Don Rhyne and Brent Taylor with burial following in the church cemetery. The family received friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Monday, December 18, 2017, at Bethel Baptist Church, 11078 Hwy. 151, Jefferson, SC.
Mr. Jenkins was born August 23, 1946, in Chesterfield, SC, a son of the late Woodrow Wilson and Annie Mae Boone Jenkins. He was a graduate of Jefferson High School and a U.S. Army Veteran. Mr. Jenkins was a retired truck driver and a member of Bethel Baptist Church. An avid outdoorsman, Jimmy enjoyed hunting, fishing, horseback riding, and driving his tractor. His favorite pastime was spending time with his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Jenkins was also preceded in death by 2 brothers, Paul “Nub” Jenkins, and Dale Jenkins; and 1 sister, Amo Jean Johnson.
Survivors include his devoted wife of 49 years, Betty Gardner Jenkins of the home; 2 sons, Ricky Young of Pageland, SC and Tim Young of Jefferson, SC; 2 daughters, Regina (Tim) Estridge of Kershaw, SC, and Gail (Gerry) Ward of McBee, SC; grandchildren, Ryan Estridge, Adam Ward, Holly Block, Joel Carroll, Clint Price, and Shannon McWaters; 9 great-grandchildren; brother, Ricky (Linda) Rogers of Jefferson, SC; 2 sisters, Betty (Burris) Hammond of Chesterfield, SC, and Frances Horton of Pageland, SC.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Hospice of Chesterfield County and special friends, Tommy and Janice Grant for the love, care and concern shown to Jimmy and their family.

CHERAW - Bobby Ray Lane, 62, died Monday, December 18, 2017. Born in Dillon, SC he was a son of George Lane of Cheraw, SC and the late Helen Jewel Hatchell Lane. He was a member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church, McFarlan, NC. Mr. Lane was a US Army Veteran. He was an avid USC Gamecock fan.
Surviving are his sons, John A. (Reene) Lane of Chesterfield, SC, Bobby Ray (Allison) Lane, Jr. of Summerville, SC, a daughter, Jessica L. Gibson of Chesterfield, SC, his father listed above, brothers, Keith (Sherry) Lane of Cheraw, SC, Richard (Denise) Lane of Columbia, SC, Cecil (Sharon) Lane of Calabash, NC, grandchildren, Jack Lane, Dusty Lane, Joshua Gibson, Jonathan Gibson, Alyssa Atkinson and Travis Lane.
He was preceded in death by his mother listed above, brothers, Glenn Lane and Steve Lane.

Roy Franklin Parnell
CHERAW - Mr. Roy Franklin Parnell, age 85, entered into rest on Wednesday, December 20, 2017. Graveside Services were held at 11:00 AM Saturday, December 23, 2017 at First Southern Methodist Church Cemetery by Phillip Caulder, Jr. The family received friends on Friday evening from 5:00 – 8:00 PM at the home, 101 Dogwood Circle, Cheraw, SC.
Mr. Parnell was born March 27, 1932 in Cheraw, SC a son of the late George Ervin and Kezzie Caulder Parnell. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and a charter member of First Southern Methodist Church. Roy, along with his wife, was the former owner and operator of Parnell’s Grocery for many years. He was a devoted and dedicated husband, loving father, and proud grandfather.
In addition to his parents, Roy was also preceded in death by his beloved wife of 57 years, Maude Quick Parnell; and 1 sister, Martha Sue Mancill.
Survivors include his son, Harvel (Joy) Parnell of Cheraw, SC; grandchildren, Dr. Kate (Taylor) Fisher of Columbia, SC, and Chris Parnell of Augusta, GA.

CHERAW - Nancy Emerick Monnoyer, 79, died, Sunday, December 10, 2017. Born in Brookville, PA, she was a daughter of the late Fred McKinley Emerick and Minnie Mae Smith Emerick, and the widow of Perry O. Monnoyer, Jr. She was a member of Windsor Park Freewill Baptist Church, Cheraw, SC, and loved going to church. She enjoyed shopping and loved spending time with family.
Surviving is her son, Robert Perry Monnoyer of Darlington, SC, daughters, Kimberly M. (Rick) Morris of Florence, SC, Jana M. Oliver of Darlington, SC, sisters, Shirley Jean Shrefler of Brunswick, OH, Joycelyn (Neil) Silvis of Brookville, PA, grandchildren, Brandi N. (Jeffery) Knight, Ashton Monnoyer, Chelsea Monnoyer, Peri Monnoyer, great grandchildren, Madison Little and Lyla Dennis.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband listed above, also siblings, Kenneth Emerick, Robert Emerick, William Emerick, Jack Emerick, Barbara McGaughey.
A graveside service was held 3:00 PM, Wednesday, December 13, 2017 in Chatham Hill Memorial Gardens, Cheraw, SC.
Jimmy Lee Rogers
GREENSBORO, N.C. - Jimmy Lee Rogers, 82. died Thursday, December 14, 2017. Born in Cheraw, SC he was the son of the late Ethel McDonald Rogers. He was retired from Winn Dixie (42 years). He attended Cheraw High School. Mr. Rogers was a US Army Veteran and also had served in the South Carolina Army National Guard. His greatest joy was loving his grandchildren.
Surviving is his son, Lowell (Ashlee) Rogers of Nashville, NC, a daughter, Beth (Dennis) Allred of Colfax, NC, grandchildren, Garrett Allred, Hailey Allred, Lila Allred, Lawson Rogers, a sister, Mary Byrd of Columbia, SC, also cousins, Pat Huggins, Joyce Parker and Rita Brock.
He was preceded in death by his mother listed above, also, a sister, Jean Sharpe, and a nephew, Robert Rogers.

Donald L. “Don” Eddins
RUBY- Mr. Donald L. “Don” Eddins, age 86, entered into rest on Sunday, December 3, 2017. Funeral Services were held at 3:00 PM Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at Ruby Baptist Church by Rev. Ronald Thurman and Rev. Ralph Jacobs with burial following in the Ruby Cemetery. The family greeted friends from 1:30 – 3:00 PM prior to the service in the church fellowship hall.
Mr. Eddins was born September 10, 1931 in Chesterfield County, SC a son of the late Dewey E. and Neal Sellers Eddins. He was a graduate of Ruby High School, Class of 1949, and a life-long member of Ruby Baptist Church where he faithfully served as former Deacon, Sunday school teacher, and was actively involved in the Baptist Men. Mr. Eddins was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War and a retired employee of McLane Trucking and former employee of Hennis Freight Lines and Johnson Motor Lines. An avid outdoorsman and true family man, Don enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, and spending time with his dogs.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Eddins was also preceded in death by his son, Donald Edward Eddins; daughter, Janet Faye Eddins Hutson; brother, Leland Eddins; and sisters, Belma Faye Edgeworth and Evelyn Thurman.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Elizabeth “Lib” Eddins of the home; 2 sons, David Russell (Lisa Steen) Eddins of Ruby, SC, and Robert Scott (Gini) Eddins of Cheraw, SC; 7 grandchildren, Lori Dawn Morton of Ruby, SC, Monika Lynn Eddins Mucci of Chesterfield, SC, Robert Glenardo “Trey” Hutson, III, Kristin Kara Hutson, and Cameron Scott Eddins all of Cheraw, SC, Holt Landon Eddins of Chesterfield, SC, and Greer Elizabeth Eddins of Cheraw, SC; also 2 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

William Emmett ‘Bill’ Hough
CHESTERFIELD - Mr. William Emmett "Bill" Hough, age 76, entered into rest on Friday, December 8, 2017. A Celebration of Life Service was held at 2:00 PM Monday, December 11, 2017 from the chapel of Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home by Pastor Bruce Adams and Phillip Caulder Jr. The family greeted friends from 1:00-2:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mr. Hough was born December 27, 1940 in Wadesboro, NC. A son of the late William Augustus "Bubba" Hough and Kathryn Matthews Hough, Bill was educated in the Chesterfield Schools and Clemson College. Bill retired as owner and agent of Hough Insurance Agency after 41 years. Bill was an avid Clemson fan and was an IPTAY member for 43 years. He was a former member of the Chesterfield Rescue Squad and served as a former member of the Board of Advisors for both The Bank of Chesterfield and First Citizens Bank. Bill loved traveling with his wife and experienced all 7 continents. Bill also enjoyed camping with his motor home club friends, and spending time and fellowship with his "Y" friends.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Hough was preceded in death by his sister, Amelia "Taddy" Hough and by his brother Minor Hough.
Surviving are his wife of 53 years Brenda Rivers Hough of the home; 2 sons, William Emmet Hough Jr. and his wife Lawson of Columbia, SC and Robert A. "Austin" Hough and wife Beth of Chesterfield, SC; 4 grandchildren, Jenna Grace Hough, Robert Ethan Hough, Katherine Mercer Hough, and William Emmet Hough III.

Laura Mangum Jordan
CHESTERFIELD - Mrs. Laura Mangum Jordan, age 96, entered into rest on Sunday, November 26, 2017. Funeral Services were held at 2:00 PM Friday, December 1, 2017 at St. Paul United Methodist Church by Pastor Bruce Adams and Phillip Caulder, Jr. The family hosted a reception and greeted friends immediately following the service in the fellowship hall of the church. Following the reception, a brief committal service was held in the Chesterfield Cemetery.
Mrs. Jordan was born March 18, 1921 in Chesterfield County, SC a daughter of the late Inglis Parks and Ella Funderburk Mangum. She was the Valedictorian of her graduating class at Chesterfield High School and a graduate of Winthrop College. Mrs. Jordan was a dedicated member of St. Paul United Methodist Church. She enjoyed playing bridge with her friends and spending time at the beach.
In addition to her parents, Laura was also preceded in death by her husband, James Elmer Jordan; son, Dennis Wylie Jordan; sisters, Sara Mangum Redfearn, Alma Arant Graham, Atha Ingram, Mary Inglis Smith; and brothers, Thomas Gibson Mangum, Inglis Parks Mangum, and Benjamin Welsh Mangum.
She leaves behind her daughter, Gail Eileen Jordan of Columbia, SC and Isle of Palms, SC; beloved grandson, Dennis Wylie Jordan, Jr. and his wife, Laura Faulders Jordan, and their young daughter, Elizabeth McRae Jordan all of Atlanta, GA. She is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews, and was especially close to Billy and Betty Redfearn, Peggy Redfearn, Melinda Rivers Jordan Ford, Tommy Ford, and Thomas Ford, Jr. all of Charleston, SC; and her 4-legged grand dogs, “Daisy” and “Cricket”. She also had a special bond with her primary caregiver and “pretend” daughter, Janice Wilson.

She was born May 24, 1978 in Cheraw, SC to Harvey Liles and the late Lula Marie Liles. Survivors: her husband, Michael Lindsey; children, Untavia Lindsey, Unquaya Lindsey, Lumauré Lindsey and Azyiaheze Lindsey all of Chesterfield, SC; a stepdaughter, Kamilah Lindsey, Albemarle, NC; a grandson, Dacren Riley, Albemarle, NC; her father, Harvey Liles, Monroe, NC; and a brother, Rodney Liles (Lashia), Rockingham, NC. Services were rendered by Flemming Funerals-Chesterfield. .
Audrey Sellers Rayfield
LEXINGTON - Audrey Sellers Rayfield died on November 16, 2017 in West Columbia, SC at the age of 89.
Audrey is survived by her daughter Cynthia Jeffcoat (Larry) of Lexington, SC, her two sons, Joel Rayfield (Joy) of Goodyear, AZ and Terry Rayfield (Debby) of Haines City, FL, six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Lloyd “Bud” Rayfield, her parents, James Arnold and Addie Sellers, three brothers, Robert Eleby Sellers, Johnnie Carson Sellers, and Laland Sellers, and four sisters, Beulah McManus, Mary Madge Hooks, Permelia Short, and Jessie Sellers.
Audrey was born on December 1, 1927 in Chesterfield, SC. She graduated from Ruby High School. She married Lloyd on December 4, 1948. She worked with her sister, Madge, in her Beauty Shop in Chesterfield and later graduated from Collette Beauty School receiving her South Carolina Cosmetologist license. Later in life she opened her own shop which she enjoyed. She named her shop Modesty II Beauty Shop in honor of the first beauty shop where she worked and her sister, Madge, owned.
A Memorial Service was held December 2, 2017 at 11:00AM at Thompson Creek Baptist Church, 3365 Wamble Hill Rd, Chesterfield, SC. Chaplain Joel Rayfield officiated at the ceremony. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Thompson Creek Baptist Church, 3365 Wamble Hill Rd, Chesterfield, SC 29709.
Thomas Austin Brewer Jr.
CHERAW - Thomas Austin Brewer, Jr., 86, died Thursday, February 15, 2018. Born in Wadesboro, NC he was a son of the late Thomas Austin Brewer, Sr. and Pauline Parker Brewer. He was a US Army Veteran. Mr. Brewer was a pitcher for the Boston Red Sox and in 1956 had a 19-9 season being selected to represent the American League in the All-Star Game. He was inducted into the South Carolina Sports Hall of Fame in 1985. Mr. Brewer for many years helped the youth in his community as a mentor and pitching coach, not only to teach the game but life lessons. He would spend hours at Cheraw’s Arrowhead Park working with boys and girls to improve pitching skills. He volunteered with the Cheraw High School Baseball and American Legion Baseball. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Cheraw, SC where he served a Deacon, Usher and the Sunday Morning “Coffee Maker.” He was a charter member of Cheraw Rescue Squad. He enjoyed hunting, golfing, and watching Westerns and Sports on TV.
Surviving is his wife Norma Lundy Brewer of Cheraw, SC, sons, David (Tammy) Brewer of Cheraw, SC, Tommy (Linda) Brewer of Ruby, SC, a daughters, Karen Brewer of Cheraw, SC, Debbie (Lewis) Bolin of Orangeburg, SC, Denise Dover of Florence, SC, Donna Lundy of Cheraw, SC, Dee Dee (David) Thomas of Louisburg, NC, a sister, Carol Thomas of Columbus, GA, grandchildren, Kimrey Ann (Tim) Haughn, Dava Brewer, Payden Brewer, great grandchildren, Harper Haughn and Grace Haughn.
He was preceded in death by his parents listed above, his first wife Barbara Wilkins Brewer, sisters, Madeline Riggleman and Roberta Brewer.
