Funeral services for Earnest Mintz IV, 26, of 1195 Union St., will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, March 20, 2006, at the Garden of Prayer in Orangeburg, with Evangelist Ebell Tucker, pastor, and the Rev. Herman J. Smalls officiating. Burial will be in Belleville Memorial Gardens in Orangeburg.
The casket will be placed in the church at 1 p.m.
Active pallbearers will be Maurice Livingston, Joseph Morris, Akim Williams, Chris Nimmons, Marcus Livingston and William Oliver.
Mr. Mintz died Monday, March 13, due to an automobile accident.
He was born May 16, 1979, at Orangeburg Regional Hospital, a son of Mrs. Hyrett Hamilton and Mr. Earnest Mintz III. He was a May 1998 graduate of Edisto High School and attended Benedict College. He attended Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church. He was employed by Kentucky Fried Chicken.
Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Hyrett (Frederick) Hamilton; father, Mr. Earnest (Patricia) Mintz III; one sister, Ms. Jazmine Cleckley, of Orangeburg; four brothers, Mr. Taurean June Cleckley, Mr. Eric Mintz, Mr. Marcus Mintz and Mr. Antoine Johnson, all of Orangeburg; maternal grandmother, Ms. Minnie Singletary; paternal grandmother, Mrs. Frances (Randel) Harris and grandfather, Mr. Earnest Mintz Jr.; a host of friends, Mr. Joseph Morris, Mr. Akim Williams, Mr. Karim Williams, Mr. Chris Nimmons, and Mr. William Oliver; a host of cousins and friends.
Friends may call at the residence of his mother, Mrs. Hyrett Hamilton, 144 Flake Road, Orangeburg, and at Glover’s Funeral Home of Orangeburg.
Mary B. Voorhees (Felkel)
HOLLY HILL - Mary B. Felkel Voorhees, 69, of Holly Hill, wife of Arthur “Bob” Voorhees, died Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at the Hospice Center of Charleston.
A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Friday at Corinth Baptist Church with Rev. Woodrow Busch and Rev. Buddy Locke officiating.
A native of Holly Hill, Mary was a member of Corinth Baptist Church and was retired from Family Practice Associates of Holly Hill. She enjoyed fishing, gardening, birds, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Surviving are her husband of Holly Hill; daughters, Susan (Bubba) Harris of Holly Hill, and Suzanna Voorhees of Chicago; a son, Kevin (Vicki) Mears of Eutawville;a sister, Elizabeth (Melvin) Dantzler of Eutawville; a brother, Edward Felkel, Jr. of Frogmore; grandchildren, Stephen (Jessica) Harris, Bryan (Stephanie) Harris, and Elizabeth Harris, all of Holly Hill, Kathryn Mears (Will) of Mishawaka, IN, Barry Lynn Mears of Lexington, Hunter Pendry of Biloxi, MS, and Casey Pendry of Eutawville; and great-grandchildren, Mason Harris, Haleigh Harris and Rhylynn Hurlbut.
The family will receive friends after the service in the social hall, and other times at the home of Bubba and Susan Harris, 148 Grosbeak Lane, Holly Hill.

Willie Earl Haigler -- ORANGEBURG
Funeral services for Mr. Willie Earl Haigler, 47, of 153 Nimmons Road, Orangeburg will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 24, 2006, at Providence AME Church in St. Matthews, with the Rev. John G. Davis officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The casket will be placed in the church at noon.
Mr. Haigler died Friday, March 17, at The Regional Medical Center.
He was born Aug. 9, 1958, in Orangeburg, a son of Richard Haigler and Mrs. Lucille Whetstone Haigler. He was employed by Orangeburg School District Five for 20 years.
Survivors include his wife, Teresa; two daughters, Mary and Felicia, all of the home; his parents of Orangeburg; three brothers; three sisters; five grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A viewing will be held from 2 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Jenkins Funeral Home of Orangeburg.
Friends may call at the residence; the residence of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Richard (Lucille) Haigler, 140 Stacy Bridge Road, Orangeburg; and at the funeral home.
Grace Martin (Brinson)
EUTAWVILLE - Grace Brinson Martin, 79, of Eutawville, wife of Audis “Chuck” Martin, Sr., passed away Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at the Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg.
Funeral services will be 4 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church, Eutawville, with Pastor Jeff Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Eutawville Cemetery.
Grace was born in Orangeburg County, a daughter of the late Elliot Brinson and Marie Martin Brinson. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Eutawville. Grace enjoyed camping, Bluegrass music, gardening and birds. She especially loved her family.
Surviving are her husband of 63 years of the home; a daughter Vicki Martin of Charleston; sons, Audis “Marty” (Sharen) Martin, Jr. and Mike (Diane) Martin, both of Eutawville, and Steve (Sherrie) Martin of Swansea; a sister, Billie (Roy) Southard of Goose Creek; a brother, Norbert (Brenda) Brinson of Aiken; grandchildren, Audis Martin III and Gene Martin, both of Charleston, Kipp Martin of Lexington, Kayla Martin of Orangeburg, Jason (Amy) Canaday of Grover, Jacob Audis Canaday of Walterboro, and Lane Martin of Walterboro; great-grandsons, Jackson, Cooper and Clay Canaday.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. this Friday at Avinger Funeral Home and other times at the family home.

Mrs. Ritta W. Murray -- Orangeburg
Funeral services for Mrs. Ritta Winningham Murray, 86, of 348 Mingo St., Orangeburg, will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, March 23, 2006, at Andrew Chapel Baptist Church, with the Rev. Donald E. Greene Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Forest Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
The casket will be placed in the church at 1:30 p.m.
Mrs. Murray died Sunday, March 19, at her residence.
She was born June 25, 1919, in Rowesville, the third child of the late William and Marie Wright Winningham. She received her elementary and high school education in Orangeburg County.
Her faith developed at an early age and Rita became a member of Andrew Chapel Baptist Church, where she worshipped faithfully until extended illness prevented regular attendance.
On Dec. 16, 1937, she was united in marriage to George Murray. No children were born to this union but the two became inseparable and could be seen caring for livestock, tilling the soil and carrying products to the market until his death in 1996.
Mrs. Murray was preceded in death by her siblings, Hubert Winningham and Edna Winningham Frederick.
Survivors include one niece, Louise Travis (David); one nephew, Nathaniel Frederick (Dorothy); one great-niece, June Mickens (Lawrence); a caregiver, Ethel Holman; extended family members; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be from 1 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Bythewood Funeral Home.
Friends may call at the residence and the funeral home.
Ruby McCollum Dyches -- NORTH
Ruby McCollum Dyches, 95, of North, died Tuesday, March 21, 2006.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 24, at Riverside Cemetery, with the Rev. Robbie Croft officiating.
Mrs. Dyches was born in Springfield, a daughter of the late James Pinkney and Annie Davis McCollum. She was married to the late Leroy Dyches. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and a retired employee of Stone Manufacturing Co.
She is survived by a number of nieces, nephews and sisters-in-law.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Culler-McAlhany Funeral Home and other times at the home, 723 Jones Bridge Road, North.
Rodney Donell McClennon -- Newark, N.J.
Graveside services for Rodney Donell McClennon will be held at 4 p.m. Monday, March 20, 2006, at Edisto Fork United Methodist Church Cemetery, off Highway 301 North.

Mrs. Maggie Hopkins Robinson -- St. Matthews
Mrs. Maggie Hopkins Robinson, 100, of 114 Little John Court, St. Matthews, died Friday, March 17, 2006, at the residence of her granddaughter, after an extended illness.
Funeral plans will be announced by Jenkins Funeral Home of St. Matthews.
Friends may call at the residence, 114 Little John Court, Turkey Height Community, St. Matthews, and at the funeral home.
