Marvin Timothy “Tim” Lovelace, 37, of Boiling Springs, and Clemmons, N.C., passed away Friday, March 17, 2006.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, March 20, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel, with the Rev. Wayne Wallace officiating. Entombment will follow in Westlawn Gardens of Memory.
He was born June 14, 1968, in Forsyth County to parents William Ronald “Ron” Lovelace Sr. and Judy Hunt Lovelace. Tim received a degree in electrical engineering from UNC Charlotte, where he was also a member of the Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity. Tim was employed as a design engineer at Hayssen Inc., in Duncan. During his youth he was involved in numerous sporting organizations including Clemmons Cowboys Football, Southwest Forsyth Little League, the football and baseball teams of West Forsyth High School. His favorite past times include playing golf, boating, riding motorcycles with his brother Ron and fishing with his father and brother Mike. Tim was a devoted father to daughter Camryn, doting uncle to his nieces and nephews and a loving husband. He was also an aspiring master craftsman, able to build and repair most anything.
Preceding Mr. Lovelace in death is his paternal grandparents, Marvin and Mary Lovelace, maternal grandparents, James Ronald Hunt Sr. and Margaret Ransome.
Surviving are his wife, Penny Hoskins Lovelace and daughter, Camryn Carlisle Lovelace; parents, Ron and Judy Lovelace Sr., of Clemmons, N.C.; two brothers, William Ronald Lovelace Jr., of Lewisville, N.C., Jonathan Michael Lovelace and wife Penny, of Advance, N.C.; sister-in-law, Janet Lovelace, of Clemmons, N.C.; father and mother-in-law, Thomas and Brenda Hoskins; nephews, Chase, Easton, and Dylan Lovelace, Randall and Anthony Scearce, Christopher and Morgan Hoskins, Tyler and Jacob Lunsford; nieces, Morgan, Madi and Lexi Lovelace, Kelly Scearce; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and close family friends.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home of Winston-Salem, N.C.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the college fund for his daughter, Camryn Carlisle Lovelace, c/o W.R. Lovelace Sr., 5931 Immanuel Road, Clemmons, N.C. 27012.
Mrs. Eartha Lee Mintz -- Orangeburg
Funeral services for Mrs. Eartha Lee Mintz, 77, of 507 Gibson St., will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 26, 2006, at Ebenezer Baptist Church, North, with the Rev. Michael D. Buckson officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The casket will be placed in the church at 2 p.m.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
Mrs. Mintz died Wednesday, March 22, at her residence.
She was born June 7, 1928, in North, a daughter of the late Robert and Rosida McNeal Hipps. She attended the public schools in North and joined Ebenezer Baptist Church at an early age where she served on the Senior Usher Board for over 30 years and the pulpit aid club for over 15 years until her health failed.
Surviving are her husband, of 43 years, Harold Mintz, of the home; eight children, Joan H. Reid, of St. Matthews, Otis C. Harrison Jr., of the home, Jimmie L. Harrison, of Clearwater, Fla., Harvey J. Harrison, of Augusta, Ga., Daniel B. Harrison, of Cordova, Dianne M. Howard and Eartha A. Mintz, both of Orangeburg, Harriett M. Mintz, of the home, Thelma (Linda Bellinger) Jones, of Orangeburg; 33 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; three daughters-in-law; two sons-in-law; one brother-in-law; five sisters-in-law and a very special cousin, Clay E. Charley, of West Columbia.
Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Bythewood Funeral Home.
Friends may call at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Dianne (Willie) Howard, 215 Mike Street and at the funeral home.
Janet Elaine Cummins (Hoff)
HARLEYVILLE - Janet Elaine Hoff Cummins, 75, of Harleyville, wife of Paul William “Bill” Cummins, passed away Wednesday, October 12, 2016 in a North Charleston hospital.
Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church, Harleyville, with Rev. Terry Hiers officiating. Burial will follow in the Harleyville Cemetery.
Born in New Windsor, MD, Jan was a daughter of the late Charles Melvin Hoff and Elizabeth Irene Purdum Hoff. She was a secretary at the former Holly Hill Lumber Co., later Georgia-Pacific, and finally Pennington Cross Arm Co. Jan was an active member of First Baptist Church, Harleyville.
Surviving are her husband, Bill of Harleyville; daughters, Terry Cummins of Deltona, Fla. and Wendy (Clay) Mims of Harleyville; sister, Joan Schatz of Simpsonville; a brother, Charles (Peggy) Hoff of Flagler Beach, Fla.; grandchildren, Connie Mims of Tampa, Fla., and Bill (Laura) Mims of Charleston.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. this Friday at Avinger Funeral Home, Holly Hill.

Infant Heaven Micheala Neal -- Charleston
Graveside services for Infant Heaven Micheala Neal, daughter of Michael and Christy Neal, of 10 South Quail Ridge, Beaufort, will be held at noon Saturday, March 18, 2006, in Mt. Hebron Baptist Church Cemetery, Santee, with the Rev. Dennis White officiating.
Infant Neal died Tuesday, March 14, at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston.
Friends may call at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Neal, 115 Elvin Drive, Santee, and at Williams Funeral Home of Elloree.
Miss Deloris Sweat -- Florence
Funeral services for Miss Deloris Sweat, 68, of Faith Health Care Center, Florence, formerly of Holly Hill, will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, March 23, 2006, at Bethel AME Church, 8740 Old State Road, Holly Hill, with the Rev. Michael Clark officiating. Burial will be in Bethel-Target Cemetery in Holly Hill.
Miss Sweat died Sunday, March 19, after an extended illness.
She was born in Holly Hill, a daughter of Mrs. Rebecca Myers Sweat and the late Mannie Sweat. She was a member of Bethel AME Church.
Survivors include her mother of Holly Hill; brothers, Mannie (Ann) Sweat Jr. of Westburg, N.Y., Blease (Patricia) Sweat of Orangeburg and Glenny (Valarie) Sweat of Holly Hill; sisters, Linda (Bobby) Lee of Cross, Sandra Lemon of New York, N.Y., the Rev. Carol Berry and Jacqueline Sweat, both of Holly Hill; an adopted sister, Jane Ann Jackson of Holly Hill; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, other relatives and friends.
Shuler-Marshall Funeral Home of Holly Hill is in charge of arrangements.
Primes Bruce Jr. -- Columbia
Funeral services for Primes Bruce Jr., 41, of Columbia, formerly of Bamberg, will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, March 23, 2006, at St. Johns Baptist Church, Bamberg. Burial will be in Old Capernaum Cemetery, Denmark.
Mr. Bruce died Sunday, March 19, at Palmetto Richland Hospital in Columbia.
He was born May 17, 1965, in Bamberg County, a son of Primes C. and Carolyn M. Bruce. At an early age he joined Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church in Bamberg. He received his early education in the Bamberg County schools and went on to attend Voorhees College in Denmark. On relocating to New York City, he was employed as a bookkeeper for a firm on Wall Street. He later returned home to South Carolina, residing in Columbia.
Survivors include a daughter, Kemiera Bruce of Denmark; two sons, Primes K. Bruce of Columbia and Xavier Rufin of Tampa, Fla.; his parents, Primes C. and Carolyn M. Bruce of Bamberg; one brother, Antonio Bruce of Columbia; and two sisters, Samatha Dean of Columbia and Lee Gibson of Spartanburg.
Friends may call at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Primes (Carolyn) Bruce Sr., 13 McGee St., Bamberg, and at the fellowship hall after the burial.
Carroll Mortuary of Bamberg is in charge of the services.
Mrs. Maggie R. Hopkins Robinson -- ST. MATTHEWS
Funeral services for Mrs. Maggie R. Hopkins Robinson, 100, of 114 Littlejohn Court, St. Matthews, will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, March 24, 2006, at Bethlehem United Methodist Church, Highway 21, St. Matthews, with the Rev. Velma Hayward officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The casket will be placed in the church at noon.
Survivors include two sons, Hercules Robinson of St. Matthews and James Albert “Sonny” Robinson Sr. of Columbia; a stepsister, Pernell Johnson of East Rutherford, N.J.; a sister-in-law, Mazie Hopkins of St. Matthews; 25 grandchildren, one who was reared in the home, Gwendolyn T. Robinson of Columbia; 39 great-grandchildren; 20 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A wake will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at Jenkins Funeral Home in St. Matthews with visitation beginning at 4 p.m.
Mary Lee White Gilliard -- ST. MATTHEWS
Funeral services for Mary Lee White Gilliard, 68, of 610 Dantzler St., St. Matthews, formerly of Holly Hill, will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 25, 2006, at Greater Friendship AME Church, Santee with the Rev. John C. Smalls officiating. Burial will be in Katie Martin Cemetery, Santee.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at Williams Funeral Home of Elloree.
Friends may call at the residence of her daughter, Jennifer (Robert) Jacques, 144 November Road, Santee and at the funeral home.
Linda Sue Rabon (Bagwell)
EUTAWVILLE - Linda Sue “Susie” Bagwell Rabon, a life-long resident of Eutawville, died after a battle with cancer on August 24, 2016 at Trident Hospital in North Charleston, at the age of 59.
Funeral Service is 11:00 am Friday, August 26, 2016 at the First Baptist Church of Eutawville with pastors Jeff Johnson and Tommy Wolpert officiating. Burial will follow in the Eutawville Cemetery.
Susie was born on May 18, 1957 in Orangeburg, to Clifford and Oneta Bagwell. Susie attended the Holly Hill School system. She married Jimmie Rabon on June 21, 2003 and remained in Eutawville, her home town. Susie was a member of the First Baptist Church of Eutawville where she served in the capacity of Worship Service Greeter. Susie was well known in Eutawville and will be sadly missed by the community. Susie loved her husband, animals, friends and knitting.
Susie is survived by her husband, Jimmie W. Rabon, Sr.; stepdaughter, Vivian Elise Rabon of Greensboro, NC; and stepson, Jimmie Rabon, Jr. of New York; brother, John B Bagwell and his wife, Kathy, of the Four Holes Community in Cameron; niece, Debra L. Bagwell of Spartanburg; and first cousin, Pasty Dukes of Elloree.
She is preceded in death by her parents Clifford and Oneta Bagwell of Eutawville, and two brother, Bill and Bud Bagwell of Spartanburg.
Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. this Thursday at Avinger Funeral Home in Holly Hill.
