HARTWELL, Ga. - Neale Robert Martin, 56, of Golfview Drive died Thursday, Aug. 9, 2001, at Hart County Hospital.
Born in Oakland, Calif., he was a retired computer operations salesman from Comdisco in Dallas. He was a member of the St. Andrews Episcopal Church.
Surviving are widow, Betty Bowers Martin of the home; daughters, Carolyn Marie Ross of Waxahachie, Texas, and Colleen Martin Garcia of San Jose, Calif.; brothers, Gerald Martin of Capitola, Calif., and Geoffrey Martin of Reno, Nev.; and two grandchildren.
He was the son of the late George S. Martin and Barbara Fix Martin. He was preceded in death by a brother, Douglas Martin.
Memorial services are at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Andrews Episcopal Church by Father Jim Clark. The family will receive friends following the memorial service at the church.

Johnson, Robbie
LAVONIA, Ga. - Robbie Winters Johnson, 71, of 12 Cornog Road died Thursday, Aug. 9, 2001, at Stephens County Hospital, Toccoa.
She was born in Franklin County.
Surviving are sons, James Johnson, Waymond Johnson, Douglas Johnson, Floyd Johnson and Roger Johnson; daughters, Deborah Whitfield, Sherry Johnson, Valerie Wheeler and Montessa Jackson; sisters, Sally Davis, Catherine Clark, Katherlene Brown, Alice Winters and Geraldine Winters; brothers, Aubrey Winters and Franklin Winters; 19 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was the widow of Horace Johnson and the daughter of the late Robert and Talcie Hunter Winters.
Services are at 2 p.m. Sunday at Moss-Stovall-Neal Funeral Home by Minister James E. Johnson; burial will be in Broadriver Baptist Church cemetery.
The family will be at the home.
Jackson, Milton
Milton Harvey Jackson, 43, of 315 A Palmetto Road died Monday, Aug. 6, 2001, at the Anderson Area Medical Center.
He was born in New York City, N.Y.
Surviving are daughter, Nicole A. Jackson of Atlanta; son, Duriel R. Jackson of Norfolk, Va.; and a sister, Shirley Miles of New York City.
He was the son of the late George Arnold and Cornell Jackson Uitenverf. Services are at 3 p.m. Monday at Pleasant Baptist Church, Williamston, by the Rev. Burns; burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 to 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the Unity Mortuary of Williamston. The body will be placed in the church at 2 p.m. Monday.
The family will be at the home of his aunt, 502 Old Pelzer Road, Williamston.
Hudson, Iler
CENTRAL - Iler Lee Hudson, 91, of 702 Central Road died Thursday, Aug. 9, 2001, at Ellenburg Nursing Center.
Born in Pickens County, he was retired from Woodside Mills in Cateechee and was a member of Camp Creek Baptist Church.
Surviving are widow, Hazel Boggs Hudson of the home; stepchildren, Jimmy B. McClarei of Pickens and Sandra M. Bradshaw of Williamsburg, Va.; brother, Paul Hudson of Cramerton, N.C.; and four stepgrandchildren.
He was the son of the late Jim Hudson and Sally Burgess Hudson. He was first married to the late Ethel Scarcy Hudson.
Services are at 2 p.m. Sunday at Dillard Memorial Funeral Home; burial will be in Camp Creek Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Harris, Ethel
Ethel Mae Greer Harris, 95, of 106 Harris St., widow of Joseph Clyde Harris, died Friday, Aug. 10, 2001, at Summit Place, Simpsonville.

Hardman, Billy Ray
AUGUSTA, Ga. - Billy Ray Hardman, 50, of Augusta died Thursday, Aug. 9, 2001, at Gracewood State Hospital, Augusta.
Born in Kannapolis, N.C., he lived nine years in Toccoa and the rest of his life in Augusta.
Surviving are brothers, Terry Hardman of Hull, and Richard and Robert Hardman, both of Toccoa; sisters, Cecilia and Christine Hardman, both of Toccoa, Brenda Hardman of Atlanta, Sally Dye of Martin and Betty Jean Gibson, Linda Coker, Barbara McIntyre and Mary Ann Camel, all of Toccoa; and one niece reared in the home.
He was the son of the late Lewis Clifford and Mary Chandler Hardman.
Services are at 2 p.m. Sunday at Hillcrest Chapel of Acree-Davis Funeral Home by the Revs. Richard Ivester, Sonny Pless and Ray Bohannon; burial will be in Stephens Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Freeman, Prince Sr.
Prince Freeman Sr., 61, of 207 Norris St., Anderson, died Thursday, Aug. 9, 2001, at the Anderson Area Medical Center.
He was self-employed as a car detailer.
Surviving are widow, Joann Pickens Freeman of Anderson; daughter, Sharon Shenett Moss of Anderson; sons, Frank Johnson of Detroit, Michael Lewis of Baltimore and Prince Freeman Jr. of Anderson; stepsons, Demetrius and Rashard Smith, both of Anderson; father, Luther Jones Sr. of Anderson County; sister, Ida Mae Richardson of Anderson and Betty Bell of Iva; brothers, Robert Lee Freeman of Anderson and Luther Jones Jr. of Iva; and 11 grandchildren.
He was the son of the late Rosa Lee Freeman. He was preceded in death by a sister, Eunice Freeman.
Services are at 3 p.m. Sunday at W.I. Peek and F.W. Jackson Memorial Chapel of the Unity Mortuary of Anderson by the Revs. Marie Hunter and Jarvis Brown; interment will be in Mt. View CME Church cemetery.

Fant, Rodney
LIBERTY - Rodney Eugene Fant, 42, of 229 Bradley Drive died Thursday, Aug. 9, 2001, at Easley Baptist Hospital.
Born in Anderson County, he was a member of Jefferson Chapel AME Church. He was a graduate of T.L. Hanna High School, class of 1976, and attended Claflin College. He was a member of the Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity. He was a multi-talented musician.
Surviving are his parents, Sylvester and Melba Fant of Belton; sisters, Lynette Wright of Seneca and Sandra Wimphrie of Easley; and brothers, Gregory and Jeffrey Fant, both of Anderson.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Silas and MaLona Rice; and paternal grandparents, James and Sally Fant.
Services are at 2 p.m. Monday at Jefferson Chapel AME Church by the Revs. Arthur Raven and Roger Hunt; burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Foggie's Home for Funerals. The body will be placed in the church at 1 p.m. Monday.
The family will be at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Sylvester Fant, 542 Fant Drive, Belton.

Willie Blanche Reid Burns, 83, of 206 Hearthstone Drive, Anderson, died Friday, Aug. 10, 2001, at NHC Health Care Center.

Baker, Lester
CLAYTON, Ga. - Lester Dean Baker, 61, of Bridge Creek Road, Tiger, died Thursday, Aug. 9, 2001, at his home.
He was born in Rabun County, where he lived all of his life. He was a U.S. Army Vietnam War veteran and served as a medic in an evacuation hospital. He was an electrician and was employed by Burlington Industries for a number of years. He was a member of the Rocky Grove Baptist Church.
Surviving are widow, Betty Key Baker of the home; daughters, Lori Baker Hunter of Tiger and Karen Baker Tomlison of Dawsonville; sisters, Linda Taylor of Dillard and Doris Crowe of Walhalla, S.C.; and two grandchildren.
He was the son of the late James Lester Baker and Myrtle Elliott Baker.
Services are at 2 p.m. Saturday at Hunter Funeral Home by the Revs. John Gipson and Steve York and Layman Lloyd Hunter; burial will be in Rocky Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Route 1, Tiger, with full military honors. The family received friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Kelly, Evelyn
SIX MILE - Evelyn McLane Kelly, 81, of 2407 Norris Highway, died Wednesday, July 18, 2001, at Laurel Hill Nursing Center.
Born in Hart County, she was retired from Six Mile, Pickens and Daniel High Schools after teaching for 34 years. She was a graduate of Lander College and a was a member of Ridgeland Drive Baptist Church.
Surviving are sisters, Catherine Kell and Doris Snellgrove, both of Seneca, and Flora McClain of Red Bay, Ala.; and brothers, O.C. McLane Jr. of Seneca and H.I. McLane of Easley.
She was the wife of J.D. Kelly and the daughter of the late O.C. and Ellen Bryant McLane Sr. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Evoid McLane and Carris McLane; and a sister, Lottie White.
Graveside services are at 11 a.m. Friday at Hillcrest Memorial Park and Gardens. The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Friday at Dillard Memorial Funeral Home.

LILBURN, Ga. - Joe Carroll Hosea, 63, of Windward Drive, died Tuesday, July 17, 2001, at Windward Hill Nursing Home, Atlanta.
Born in Toccoa, he was retired from Georgia Power Company as a purchasing agent.
Surviving are widow, Barbara Caine Hosea of the home; son, Andy Hosea of New York; and brothers, Clifton Hosea of Toccoa and James Alford Hosea of Anderson. He was the son of the late John C. Hosea and Ruth Frier Hosea. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Harold Wade Hosea and Herbert Hosea.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at The Memorial Park Funeral Home, Gainesville.

Keith Dale Hill, 75, of 619 Lakewood Lane, Anderson, died Wednesday, July 18, 2001, at his residence.
Born in Waynesville, N.C., he was retired from Duke Power Company. He was a member of the National Guard, was a Shriner and was a member of the Divver Masonic Lodge. He was also a member of Macedonia Baptist Church.
Surviving are widow, Betty L. McMahan Hill of the home; daughters, Lila S. Vickery and Margaret A. Hill Barnes, both of Anderson; brother, Denton Hill of Waynesville; sister, Linda Hill Mills of Sylva, N.C.; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and one step-grandchild.
He was the son of the late R. Garrett Hill and Edna Caldwell Hill. He was preceded in death by a sister, Vivian Elaine Hill.
Graveside services are at 2 p.m. Friday at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Anderson, with Masonic Rites, by the Rev. Julian M. Crowe. The body is at The McDougald Funeral Home, Anderson, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
The family will be at the home of his daughter, Lila Vickery, 619 Lakewood Lane, Anderson.
