The relatives and friends of Mrs. Janie Green McCloud, are invited to attend her funeral services on Friday, October 5, 2001, 11 a.m. at Central RMUE Church, 117 President Street, Charleston, S.C. Rev. Joseph Oliver, Pastor. Interment, Monrovia Cemetery, Charleston, SC.
Mrs. McCloud is survived by her grandchildren, Mr. Linard McCloud (Veronica), Mrs. Joyce Bennett (Michael), Mrs. Peggy Lide (Alphonso), Ms. Lavarne McCloud, great grandchildren, Rosalee McCloud, Aishalide, Michelle Bennett, Micheal Bennett, Linard R. McCloud; her daughters-in-law, Pearlie and Blanche McCloud, a special nephew, Mr. Frank McCloud, her god-daughter, Ms. Alneatha Buggs, nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
Viewing for Mrs. McCloud will be at the William M. Smith Memorial Chapel, 2 Radcliffe St., Charleston, SC on Thursday, October 4, 2001 from 2 to 5:30 p.m. and at the church from 6 to 8 p.m. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m.

SCARBOROUGH, Louise
Louise Gardner Scarborough, 92, of Charleston, formerly of North Charleston, S.C., died Tuesday, October 2, 2001, at her residence. The relatives and friends of Louise Gardner Scarborough are invited to attend her funeral services, Friday morning, October 5, 2001, in St. Thomas Episcopal Church at 10 o'clock. Interment will follow in the Church of Ascension Churchyard, Hagood, SC. Friends may call at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, Thursday evening, October 4, 2001, from 6 until 8 o'clock. ARRANGEMENTS BY J. Mrs. Scarborough was born in Clarendon County, S.C., a daughter of William O'Donnell Gardner and Letitia Graham Gardner. She was a retired Registered Nurse, a Directress of the Altar Guild for 25 years at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, and the first female Vestry Person at Good Shepherd. She was Valedictorian of both her high school class and her nursing school graduating class.
Surviving are her daughter, Caroline Prause, her son, A. Wilson Scarborough, both of Charleston, S.C., her sister, Laura G. Jackson of Manning, S.C., three grandsons, one granddaughter and two great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was the widow of Arthur W. Scarborough.

Robinson (Amos) of Atlanta, GA., Mr. Charles Brown of New York, NY and Mr. Clarence Brown. He was the loving husband of Mrs. Genevieve E. Habersham. The loving father of Mr. Timothy Allen Habersham, Ms. Kendal Yvette Habersham, Ms. Christina M. Habersham and Ms. Tawanna Harrison. The son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry and Mary Brown Habersham. The brother of Mrs. Victoria H. Stokes (Rev. Robert), Mrs. Lillian Washington, Mrs. Cora Gadsden (Melvin), Mr. Leon Simmons and Mr. Eugene Smalls. The son-in-law of Mrs. Albertha Ellis. W.M. CUMMINGS, McCoy
McCoy Cummings, 55, of 139 Lemon Drive, St. George, S.C., died Tuesday at a Charleston hospital after a brief illness. Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, October 6, 2001, at the St. Stephens United Methodist Church, Bowman, S.C., with the Rev. Thomas Marks, Sr., officiating. Burial will be in the St. Stephens Cemetery, Bowman, S.C., directed by LING FUNERAL HOME of St. George, S.C. (843) 563-3589.
Mr. Cummings was born June 3, 1946, in St. George, S.C., a son of the late Mack Cummings and Mrs. Dora Stephens Cummings. He was a member of the St. Stephens United Methodist Church and was a very outstanding brick layer employed by Timmons Construction Co. of Florence, S.C. He was an U.S. Army veteran who served in Vietnam and was a 1964 graduate of Williams Memorial High School of St. George.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Bernell Shuler Cummings of Bowman, S.C.; three daughters, Mrs. Cassandra Cummings (Cornell) Riley, Ms. Amy Renee Cummings and Ms. Tameka Monique Cummings, all of Bowman, S.C.; four sisters, Mrs. Lois (Arnold) Lemon of St. George, S.C., Mrs. Helen Young of Harleyville, S.C., Mrs. Annie Mae (Garvin) Hadden of Jersey City, N.J., and Mrs. Alma Cummings (Roosevelt) Matthews of Bowman, S.C.; four brothers, Malvin (Cooper Lee) Cummings of New York City, Bernard (Genevieve) Cummings of Jersey City, N.J., Rober (Dora Lee) Cummings and Mack Cummings, all of St. George, S.C. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Chantanee Riley, Cardier Riley and Atavia Cummings, all of Bowman, S.C.

CASSELMAN, Andrew
GEORGETOWN - Andrew James Casselman, 89, widower of Lila Orena Casselman, died Wednesday at a local hospital.
Funeral arrangements will be announced by the Georgetown Chapel of MCKENZIE FUNERAL HOME.
Visitation will be 7 to 9 Friday evening at the Georgetown Chapel of McKenzie Funeral Home.

BRANDON, Walter
GEORGETOWN - Walter Matthew Brandon, 94, of Lambertown Community, died Wednesday morning, October 3, 2001, at the Georgetown Memorial Hospital.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Friday, October 5, 2001, in the Lambert Cemetery directed by the Georgetown Chapel of McKenzie Funeral Home. Visitation will be 6 to 8 Thursday evening, October 4, 2001 at the Brandon residence, 400 Dawhoo Lake Road, in Lambertown.
Mr. Brandon was born October 2, 1907, in Berkeley County, a son of Fletcher Brandon and Minnie Brandon. He was a Millwright worker for the Georgetown Mill of International Paper Company; a member and former deacon of the St. Delight Pentecostal Holiness Church.
He was predeceased by a son, Walter Fletcher Brandon, a granddaughter, Janice Brandon Powell.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Mrs. Essie Maude Brandon of Georgetown, are four sons, James Brandon of Nashville, TN, Wilbur Brandon, Johnny Brandon, Chris Brandon, all of Georgetown; two daughters, Elizabeth Hawkins of Georgetown and Gloria Brandon-Kratz of Summerville; one sister, Alice Lambert of Georgetown; 18 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

MERRITT, Carl
GEORGETOWN - Carl Andrew Merritt, 88, died Wednesday, October 3, 2001, at a local convalescent center.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, October 5, 2001, in the Andrews First Pentecostal Holiness Church. Burial directed by the Andrews Chapel of MCKENZIE FUNERAL HOME will follow in the Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 7 to 9 Thursday evening, October 4, 2001 at the Andrews Chapel of the McKenzie Funeral Home.
Mr. Merritt was born March 4, 1913 in Lee County, a son of John Noel Merritt and Bessie Lindsey Merritt. He was a Millwright worker for the Georgetown Mill of International Paper Company; a member of the Andrews First Pentecostal Holiness Church. He was predeceased by his first wife, Hazel D. Merritt.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Mrs. Dorothy M. Merritt of Andrews, are two sons, Carl A. Merritt, Jr. and James Larry Merritt, both of Georgetown; two daughters, Rebecca M. Cox of Anderson and Kathy M. Goodwin of Georgetown; step-children, Dale Morris and Michael Morris, Jewel Cool and Brenda Cooper, all of Andrews; one sister, Lillie Mae Davis of Sumter; 25 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren.

LAMBERT, Leroy
Leroy "Jack" Lambert, died Wednesday, October 3, 2001, at his residence.
Funeral services will be 5 p.m. Friday, October 5, 2001, in the Georgetown First Pentecostal Holiness Church. Burial directed by the Georgetown Chapel of MCKENZIE FUNERAL HOME will follow in the Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday evening, October 4, 2001, at the Georgetown Chapel of McKenzie Funeral Home.
Mr. Lambert was born in Berkeley County, a son of William B. Lambert and Doolie L. Lambert. He was a Control Room Operator for 44 years for the Georgetown Mill of International Paper Company and a member of the IP Quarter of a Century Club; attended of the Georgetown First Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Mrs. Anna White Lambert of Georgetown, are one son, Roy Lee "R.L." Lambert of Jamestown; one daughter, Jackie Ann Lambert of Georgetown; three brothers, Solon Lambert and Arthur Lambert of Georgetown, and Andrew Lambert of Jamestown; six grandchildren.

EVANS, Katina
The relatives and friends of Ms. Katina Renee Evans, those of her mother, Mrs. Ava Marie Evans, sisters, Mrs. Shawquna Renee Royal (Deangles) and Ms. Vdera Lakia Evans, aunts, Ms. Patricia Ball, Ms. Brenda L. Green, Ms. Nathalie Evans, and Ms. Frances Gadsen, uncle, Mr. Samuel Evans, nieces and nephews are invited to attend her funeral service Friday, October 5, 2001, 2:00 p.m. at FIELDING HOME FOR FUNERALS, 2704 Meeting Street, North Charleston, SC. MAJOR, Wayman
EUTAWVILLE - Wayman M. Major, 87, of 134 Driftwood Dr., Eutawville, died Wednesday in a North Charleston hospital.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
Mr. Major was born in Greenville a son of the late Herbert Major and Willie Allison Major. He was employed as a welder with Westvaco for 35 years and was a member of Plumbers and Steamfitters Local #470. He was a member of Cherokee Place United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Emily Major; son, Wayman Major, Jr. of Mt. Pleasant; devoted daughter, Margaret Landrum of North Charleston; daughters Sandra Noren and Jeanette Gibson of North Charleston; sisters, Sarah Sloan of Greenville, and Inez Branham of North Charleston; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 6604, Columbia, SC 29260.

LINN, JR., Henry
Henry "Hank" F. Linn, Jr., 63, died suddenly Tuesday, October 2, 2001 at a local hospital. Born July 22, 1938 in the Bronx, NY. He was the son of the late Henry J. Linn and Pierina (Bea) Linn (nee Gigilo). Mr. Linn served in the US Marine Corps. He was employed by Delta Airlines for 33 years and retired in 1955 as the Supervisor of Maintenance. A member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, was Past Grand Knight of the Donald J. Godfrey Council #6726 and an officer with Msgr. Richard C. Madden Assembly 1900. His son, Charles Linn, and sister, Gladys Agins, preceded him in death. Mr. Linn is survived by his wife Irene; son, Jeffrey Linn (wife, Deanna), Goose Creek; two daughters, Patricia Golla (husband, Patrick), Summerville and Denise Chandler (husband, David), Goose Creek; mother Pierina (Bea) Linn, N. Charleston; sister, Cathy Harrison, New Jersey; nine grandchildren, Timothy Hebert, Henry Linn, Jeremy Herbert, Stephen Linn, Christopher Linn, Kristina Linn, Michael Linn, Meghan Chandler, and MaKayla Chandler; daughter-in-law Regina Linn, Houston, Texas. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 6, 2001 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Interment with military honors will follow at Carolina Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends Friday, October 5, 2001 from 7 to 9:00 p.m. with the Rosary recited at 7:30 p.m. at MCALISTER-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 100 S. Goose Creek Blvd., Goose Creek.
