Mr. Ramsey was born April 3, 1930 in Colleton County the son of the late Laurie Duncan and Annie Marie Johnson Ramsey. He was a member of Seacoast Community Church. He was a veteran in the United States Air Force during the Korean conflict, was a Chief in the U.S. Naval Reserve and a retired traffic manager for seventeen years with the Charleston Naval Shipyard. He was also a member of Hammerton Lodge No. 332 A.F.M., Omar Temple, Scottish Rite, Charleston Elks Lodge No. 242.
Surviving are his wife of North Charleston, SC; a son, James K. Ramsey of North Charleston, SC; daughters, Patricia L. Barlett of North Charleston, SC, Renee M. Johnson of North Charleston, SC and Ginger L. McCartney of Goose Creek, SC; sister, Doris Danapas of Indiana; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Eleanor Brinson Baxley, 69, of Charleston, died Friday morning, October 19, 2001. The funeral service will be 3:00 o'clock Sunday in J. Mrs. Baxley was born in Charleston, SC the daughter of James E. and Eloise Hill Brinson. A widow of the late Charles A. Baxley, Sr., she attended Ashley River Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughters, Deborah B. Smoak of Charleston; Diane B. Dyer of Panama City, FL; Nancy B. Rorie of Panama, Oklahoma; and Carolyn B. Fletcher of Raleigh, NC; her son, Charles A. Baxley, Jr., of Summerville. Her sisters, Carolyn Conlon of North Charleston, Louise Strickland of Charleston, eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren also survive.

CUSANO, JR., Raymond
Boatswain's Mate 1st Class Raymond Michael Cusano, Jr., US Navy Ret., 49, of Moncks Corner, SC, died Thursday in Elkin, NC.

Mr. Cusano was born Feb. 6, 1952, in New York, a son of Raymond M. Cusano and Doris Curry Cusano. He was a truck driver for H. & J. Trucking Company. He served in Vietnam and the Gulf War. He was a member of the Fleet Reserve.
Surviving are his wife, Dianna Ashcraft Cusano; one daughter, Wendy J. Coker of Moncks Corner; five sisters, Doris, Corky, Mary, Dorothy and Kathy; and six grandchildren, Priscilla Fierro, Loretta Smith, Thomas Smith, Daniella Smith, Stephanie Smith and Dillon Ray Smith.
