Bob Elvis Dantzler, 45, an employee with the State of Georgia for C.A.R.P., died Friday, November 30, 2001, in Atlanta, Ga.
The funeral will be 1 p.m., on Saturday, December 8, 2001, in the New Covenant Fellowship Ministry Church, Green Pond, S.C. Burial will be in the Ladson/White Cemetery.
Mr. Dantzler was born in Charleston, S.C., and was the son of Wilson and Viola Dantzler. He attended the Charleston County public schools and was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was married to Edith Y. Dantzler.
Surviving are, three children, Trenisha S. Jones, Marquez D. Jones and Dawn P. Dantzler; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wilson (Viola) Dantzler of Charleston, S.C.; two brothers, Wilson Dantzler, Jr., and Glenn Pinckney (Cynthia); three sisters, Geraldine Johnson (Kevin), Stephanie Dantzler and Christine M. Dantzler, all of Charleston; and three grandchildren, Tahj M. Jones, Xavier D. Jones and Immanuel M. Jones; his former wife, Edith Y. Dantzler and a close friend, B. Jenkins.

Willie Alfrado "Bouncer" Martino, Jr., 72, a retired security officer, of 230 Ann St., St. George, S.C., died Monday, December 3, 2001, at a Charleston hospital after an extended illness. Funeral services will be held 2:30 p.m., Sunday, December 9, 2001, at the Good Hope Baptist Church in St. George, with Dr. S.B. Marshall, officiating. Burial will be in the St. Luke Cemetery, Grover, S.C. The family hour will be held 5 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, December 8, at Good Hope Baptist Church. Mr. Martino was born June 23, 1929, in Ft. Myer, Fla., a son of the late Willie A. Martino, Sr., and Mrs. Elizabeth Amelia Martin Martino. He was a graduate of Smith Brown High School of Arcadia, Fla., and Area Trade School of Denmark, S.C., where he completed the Barber's Curriculum. He was a member of the Good Hope Baptist Church where he served as a member of the Brotherhood, the S.B. Marshall Male Chorus, Senior Choir and a member of the St. George Chapter of the NAACP. He was also a U.S. Navy Veteran of the Korean War, former Deputy Sheriff of Dorchester County, a successful barber and a retired security officer with the Regional Medical Center of Orangeburg-Calhoun Counties, Orangeburg, S.C.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Elouise Barton Martino of St. George; two sons, Ralph (Freda) Martino and Gregory Martino, all of St. George; one sister, Ms. Altawese Martino of St. George; one brother, Ret. Sgt. Major James H. (Alece) Martino of Ft. Myers, Fla. He is also survived by three granddaughters, Megan, Crystal and Marion Martino, all of St. George. Marilyn Brown Neth, 72, of Charleston, died Thursday, December 6, at her home in Charleston, S.C., after a lengthy battle with cancer. Mrs. Neth was born March 20, 1929, in Lake Butler, Fla., the daughter of Eurie and Hazel Greene Brown. She attended Union County public schools and was a 1951 graduate of Florida Southern College. Mrs. Neth taught at John Cox Elementary and, for many years, Central Avenue Elementary School. She was a member of the Roper Hospital Auxiliary and Delta Zeta Sorority and formerly belonged to First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Lakeland. Mrs. Neth is survived by her husband Scott, two granddaughters, Caroline Cullom Howell and Rebecca Reed Howell, all of Charleston, S.C. WALTERBORO - Mrs. Agnes Cannington Breland, 79, of 220 Thompson St., died Thursday at a Walterboro hospital. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, at the chapel of BRICE W. Mrs. Breland was born in Hampton County, a daughter of the late Joel Franklin Cannington and Catherine Searson Cannington. She was a retired bookkeeper with Stone Oil Company and was a member of Tabor United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the Tabor Ladies Missionary Society.
Surviving are her husband of 52 years, Laurie D. Breland, and three brothers, Frank Cannington of Early Branch, Joe Cannington of Ridgeville, and William Cannington of Varnville. She was predeceased by a brother, Billy Cannington.

Austin B. Perdue died December 4, 2001, in Colorado Springs, Colo. He was Ret. Sgt Major in the U.S. Army, also served with Distinction in U.S. Marine Corps. in W.W.II.
He is survived by, his wife of 55 years, Peggy Marshall Perdue, daughter, Pamela Perdue Reese, of Charleston, S.C., son, Michael B. Edward Loyless Knight, Jr., 82, of Summerville, S.C. died Tuesday, December 4, 2001 at a local nursing home.

Mr. Knight was born June 21, 1919 in Summerville, S.C., a son of the late Edward Loyless Knight, Sr. and Elizabeth K. Knight. He attended Summerville High School, University of Iowa and Wooster College. He was retired from Westvaco Lumber Company as a Supervisor in 1983. He owned and operated a wholesale lumber business with his partner Carl Knight. He worked for Arnold Altex Aluminum. He was Vice President in charge of production for Flowertown Aluminum Products Company. He was a member of Knightsville United Methodist Church, Rotary Club and the Summerville Flying Club. He was a school board member of Dorchester District 2 for 15 years and also served as board chairman. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of W.W. II.
Survivors include his wife, Helen Altman Knight of Summerville, S.C.; a daughter and son-in-law, Frances K. Patrick and Thomas M. Patrick of Summerville, S.C.; a son and daughter-in-law, Henry M. and Melinda M. Knight of Greenville, S.C.; two sisters, Cassie K. Bennett of Moncks Corner, S.C. and Mathilda K. Stapleton of Summerville, S.C.; three grandchildren, Travis M. Patrick of Greenville, S.C., Kent M. Patrick of Summerville, S.C. and Shelly K. Lawson of Columbia, S.C.; many nieces, nephews and in-laws. Mr. Knight was predeceased by his son, Bruce Edward Knight.

COLUMBIA - Samuel Francis Drew, Sr., 81, died Tuesday, December 4, 2001 at Richland Memorial Hospital after an illness.
Mr. Drew was born in Phoenix, Arizona, a son of the late John A. and Amanda Figueroa Drew. He was a veteran of World War II, where he served as a fighter pilot and was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross for his bravery in action. Mr. Drew remained active in aviation and retired in 1982 as an air traffic controller with the Federal Aviation Authority. He was a founding member of St. Philip Catholic Church in Lake City, a member of the Blessed Sacrament Church in Charleston for over 35 years and most recently, a member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church in Columbia.
Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Carroll Louise Thomy Drew of Columbia, S.C.; one son, Dr. Sam F. (Mary) Drew, Jr. of Columbia, S.C.; two daughters, Carrol D. Sidrony of Dothan, Ala. and Patty D. (Marc) Drews of Columbia, S.C.; nine grandchildren, Jason Sidrony, Luke Sidrony, Phoebe Drew Blalock, Amanda Drew, John Drew, Emily Drew, Joshua Drews, Noah Drews and Leslie Drews. Mr. Drew was the oldest of ten children and is survived by one sister, Mary Drew Hernandez of Phoenix, Ariz.; three brothers, Arthur Drew and John Drew of Phoenix, Ariz., and Ernie Drew of Seattle, Washington.
Funeral Mass will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, December 8, 2001, in St. Philip Catholic Church with burial in the Lake City Cemetery.

Mrs. Blakeley was born in Panama City, Fla. on April 27, 1919, a daughter of the late Frank McGill Nelson, Sr. and Olivia Appelberg Nelson.
Surviving are: her husband, John M. Blakeley, Jr. of Andrews; a daughter, Julianne Blakeley of Litchfield Beach; two brothers, M.G. Nelson and Karl B. Nelson, both of Panama City, Fla.; a sister, Hazel N. Hawkins of Pensacola, Fla.; four grandchildren, Blake Thornton and Clay Thornton, both of Mount Pleasant, and Olivia Thornton of Westport, Conn., and Katie Thornton of Hilton Head.
She was predeceased by a granddaughter, Kent Thornton.

ANDREWS - Olive Edwina Caulder Price, 76, died Friday, December 7, 2001, at a Georgetown hospital.

Mrs. Price was born January 10, 1925, in Andrews, a daughter of the late Lewis Carl Caulder and Mary Alice Pipkin Caulder. She was a retired motel manager and owner and operator of Mrs. Price's daycare. She is fondly remembered by many she cared for when they were children. Her home was always open to any who needed a short or long term place to stay and many were blessed by her willingness to care for other. She was a stalwart who could resolve problems whatever the situation and will be sadly missed by family and friends.
She was predeceased by a sister, Florence Caulder Smith, and a grandson, Jason Matthew Mosley.
