Frank Odell Davis, Jr., 53, of Meggett, S.C., died Sunday. Mr. Davis was born in Charleston, S.C., the son of Frank Odell Davis, Sr. and Mary Frances Heaton Davis. He was the president of Davis and Doscher Construction Company. He was a member of Johns Island Presbyterian Church. He served in the US Army Reserves. He graduated from St. Andrews High School in 1966, and he attended Baptist College. He was a past president of the Charleston Chapter American Sub contractors Association. He was a member of Dungannon hunt Club.
Surviving are one son, Frank Odell Davis, III of San Diego, Ca.; one daughter, English Marie Davis Cone of Charleston, S.C. and son-in-law, Charles Rodgers Cone; one grandson, Gibson Rodgers Cone; parents of James Island, S.C.; three brothers, Marion Pinckney Davis, Wade Heaton Davis and Lee Wimberly Davis all of James Island, S. C.; numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Shepherd was born August 19, 1914 in Pittsburgh, Pa., the daughter of Peter Malascolza and Marie Santoro Malascolza. She was a member of The First Christian Church, (Disciples of Christ). She retired as a clerk with Coburg Dairy and was served with the US Womens Army Corps during W.W. II.
She is survived by a son: Randall Thomas Shepherd of Charleston, S.C. She was predeceased by a brother, Daniel Malascolza and a sister Mary M. Cozza both of Pittsburgh, Pa.

BRANCHVILLE - Mrs. Aletha Viola (Lecy) Byrd, 86 years of age, died Sunday evening, at the St. George Health Care Center. Mrs. Byrd was born in Dorchester County, a daughter of the late Thomas W. Reeves, and Elizabeth McAlhany Reeves, and she was the widow of the late Norman E. Byrd. She was retired from Ivey's Department Store in N.C., and was a member of the Branchville United Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be conducted, Tuesday, 1 p.m., from the chapel of the OTT FUNERAL HOME IN BRANCHVILLE, by the Rev. Mike Smith with burial in the Bryant Reeves Cemetery near Reevesville.
Survived by two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Emily Reeves and Mrs. Nellie Mae Reeves, both of Reevesville, and a number of nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by four brothers, James B. Reeves, John C. Reevs, Dave Reeves, and Thomas B. Reeves, three sisters, Effie Reeves, Betty Reeves, and Hattie Hartzog.

WALTERBORO - Mr. Willie C. Polk, 67, of 287 Dover Bluff Lane, died Monday, at a Walterboro hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, at the chapel of the Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Black Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Polk was born in Colleton County, a son of the late Palmer Polk and Dorothy Stanley Polk Iriel. He was a retired painter and was a member of Community Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife of 47 years, Pearl Lemacks Polk, a son, Danny Polk of Walterboro, four daughters, Doris Herndon, Lois Judy, and Nancy Polk, all of Walterboro and Donna Polk of Hampton, three brothers, James Polk and Frank E. Polk, both of Yemassee, and Bobby Polk of Washington, N.C., and two sisters, Emma Lee Polk of Yemassee and Betty Stone of Hendersonville. He was predeceased by a son, John DeWayne Polk.

Mr. Sullivan was born on April 3, 1920, in Ware, Mass., a son of the late Cornelius Sullivan and Alice Couture Sullivan. He was a retired Chief Warrant Officer, U.S. navy and a veteran of World War II, Korean Conflict and Vietnam. He was Roman Catholic.

Alta Maree Massey Brockinton, 79, the wife of Charleston Attorney, D.A. Brockinton, Jr., died on Saturday, December 8, in a local hospital following a lengthy illness. She was born on August 6, 1922, in Birmingham, Ala., the daughter of the late Dr. David Lawson Massey and Mrs. Marie Bates Massey of Birmingham, Ala. She was educated in the public and private schools of Birmingham. She attended Fairmont Jr. College in Washington, D.C., and the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa. On May 5, 1945, she married D.A. Brockinton, Jr., Lieutenant, USNR of Charleston, S.C., in Birmingham, Ala.
Since W.W.II she has resided in Charleston, S.C. She was a member of the Rebecca Motte Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Ladies Benevolent Society. She was a charter member of the Ivy Garden Club and a sustaining member of the Junior League of Charleston and a member of the First (Scots) Presbyterian Church. She was a member of the Country Club of Charleston and the Ladies Golf Association. She was an avid golfer and participated in the their tournaments. She was a Rotary Ann of the Charleston Rotary Club and regularly participated in its charitable endeavors and its community projects.
She was a talented dancer and participated in the Junior League of Charleston Follies. She starred in the role of the popular flamboyant Latin dancer and songstress, "Mama Inez," in the 1950's Follies presentation of the popular rollicking Broadway Musical, "Rollin' in Rio."
Mrs. Brockinton is survived by her husband of Charleston, two daughters, Alta Maree Brockinton of New York, N.Y., and Anne Rutledge Brockinton of Lake Tahoe, Nev.; one brother, Dr. David Lawson Massey, Jr., and his wife Ophelia Massey of Birmingham, Ala.; one granddaughter, Alta Maree Hagan of New York, N.Y., and numerous nieces of Alabama and nephews of Charleston, S.C. She was predeceased by her brother the late George Bates Massey of Birmingham, Ala.

Mr. White was born September 26, 1944, in Georgetown, a son of Ruby Ethridge White. He was educated in Georgetown County schools, and a retired employee of the Maintenance Division of Detyens Ship Yard in Mt. Pleasant. He attended the Andrews Church of God.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, Nell Parrott White of Andrews, are, two sons, Paul Jerome White, Jr., and Mark Anthony White, both of Andrews, one daughter, Suzette White McKenzie of Lake City; one brother, John Henry White of Andrews; two sisters, Mary Lou Main of Andrews, Frances Altman of Aynor; and eight grandchildren.
