MARINKO, Donald
Donald Ellison Marinko, 54, of Florence, died Friday, December 14, 2001 at his residence. Born January 27, 1947 in Florence, South Carolina, he was the son of Mary Stilley Marinko and the late John Earnest Marinko.
Donald was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church. He was a former "Gysgt" United States Marine serving during the Vietnam War receiving the following medals of honor, Air Medal with 16th Awd, Naval Air Medal with Combat "V", Combat Action Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal with 3 Stars, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with 1 Star, Vietnam Campaign Medal with Device, Republic of Vietnam Meritorious Unit Citation with Palm and Frame, Rifle Marksman and Pistol Expert, Don also received military education in Mechanics Fundamentals, Avn Mach Mate, Recruiters, and SNCO Academy. Following his discharge, he received an associate degree in tool and die.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by three brothers, W. Terry Marinko and his wife, Corrin, of Summerville, S.C., John Andrew Marinko and his wife, Kathy, of Sumter, S.C. and Micky Marinko of Kingston, Ga. Also surviving is one niece, Jennifer Marinko of Sumter, S.C.
Current family and friends are invited to visit with the family from 6-8 p.m. Monday, December 17, 2001, at CAIN-POSTON FUNERAL HOME. Services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 18, 2001, at St. Luke Lutheran Church.
Interment will follow in Florence National Cemetery.

Mr. Russell Wayne Tompkins 38 of 210 Hanna Street in Hampton, died early Saturday morning in the Memorial Medical Center in Savannah, Georgia. Mr. Tompkins was born in Georgetown, S. C. September 2, 1963 a son of John Charles Tompkins and Katherine Rebecca Jordan Tompkins Hunter. He was a self- employed Landscaper, and was a member of the Voice of Victory Church in Varnville.
Surviving besides his mother of Hampton are: One brother: John Tompkins of Islandton, S. C.,: and Two sisters: Debbie Strickland of Savannah, Ga, and Terri Cook of West Palm Beach, Florida. There are several nieces and nephews Funeral services will be 2:30 P.M. Wednesday in the Chapel of PEEPLES-RHODES FUNERAL HOME IN HAMPTON, with burial in the St. Paul Cemetery in Hampton. She is survived by her husband Mitchell G. Boylan of North Charleston, SC, two sons, Christopher Scott Boylan of Salisbury, NC and Keith Irick Boylan of Ladson, SC; her mother Jeannette P. Wesley of Holcomb, NY; one brother Leonard "Bud" Wesley Jr. of Holcomb, NY.

Timothy Charles Lawson, 77, widower of Mildred O. Lawson, died Tuesday, in a Charleston hospital.
Memorial service will be in Midland Park Baptist Church, at 11 o'clock on Thursday, December 18, 2001.
Burial will be private. There will be a gathering of friends at the home of Charles Bates, Jr., 1444 Mellowood Place, James Island, after the service.

Born on February 27, 1924, in Jacksonville, Ind., a son of the late Grant Lawson and Ida Michael Lawson. He attended schools in Wabash, Ind. He retired as a United States Navy Chief Boatswain mate having served during W.W.II. He worked then retired from the Charleston Naval Weapon Station. He was a member of Midland Park Baptist Church. He was a member of the NRA.
Surviving are, two brothers-in-law, Charles W. Bates, Sr., of Charleston, Philip W. Bates of Charleston. Several nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his son, Don Marion Lawson.

Doward Jackson "Jack" Feagin, 67, of Mt. Pleasant, died on the morning of Tuesday, December 18, 2001. The memorial service will be (today), Wednesday, at 4 o'clock, in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., MT. PLEASANT CHAPEL. Friends may call at the chapel one hour prior to the service.
Jack was born in Williamsburg County, S.C., on October 5, 1934, the son of Loyd C. and Corrie McKnight Feagin. He was a retired plantation supervisor. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and had served as a deputy wildlife conservation officer.
Mr. Feagin is survived by his wife, Shirley Springs Feagin, his sons, Earl J. Feagin of Myrtle Beach, Ronald D. Feagin of Andrews, and Michael L. Feagin of Conway; his daughters, Charmen F. Quinn and Jacqueline F. Patel, both of Mt. Pleasant. His brothers, Loyd Clyde Feagin, Jr., of Salters, Jerry J. Feagin of Andrews, Delbert Feagin of Georgetown and his sisters Evelyn F. Watford and Audrey F. Crosby of Myrtle Beach and nine grandchildren also survive.

Deborah Kaye Neville Rogers, 50, died Saturday, December 15, 2001, at her home in Charlotte, N.C.
"Debbie Kaye," who was born March 8, 1951, in Mooresville, N.C., was a graduate of West Mecklenburg High School and lived 15 years in Folly Beach, S.C., before returning to Charlotte in 1995.
Seven years ago, Mrs. Rogers was diagnosed with ALS; however, she never lost her zest for life nor her desire to look her best. Throughout her illness, she remained selfless. Her greatest joys were buying gifts for people she loved and being a devoted Elvis fan. Those who knew her were blessed by her wonderful spirit and ever-present smile.
She is survived by her mother, Perry G. Neville and her mother's fianc‚, Charles Story, both of Charlotte; a daughter, Amanda Noblett and granddaughter, Sierra, both of Charleston, S.C.; one sister, Bonnie Stines and her husband, Christopher; and a niece, Tracy Aldridge, all of Charlotte.
Her father, Charles Paul Neville, preceded her in death in 1992.
A service to celebrate Debbie Kaye's life will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, December 18, in the Hankins & Whittington Dilworth Chapel with the Reverend John Johnson of Emmanuel Baptist Church officiating. Her family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service.

He is survived by his two sisters, Rebecca Jan Little and Margaret Carol Colitte both of North Charleston, S.C.; five brothers, Billy Ray Phillips, Johnny Marvin Phillips, Richard Pierce Phillips, David Ernest Phillips all of Charleston, S.C., and Berley Gene Phillips of Norfolk, Va.; seven nieces; nine nephews, and companion, Wayne Hill of Fort Pierce, Fla.

She graduated from Mary Immaculate Nursing School in Jamaica, New York and served as a Public Health Registered Nurse for Charleston County from 1966 until her retirement in 1972.
Surviving are two daughters, Lorriane Moore of Voorhees, NJ., and Amy Campbell Kelly of Mt. Pleasant, SC., four sons, Kevin Campbell of Mt. Pleasant, SC., Colin R. Campbell of Folly Beach, SC., Col.
