ANDREWS - Ruth H. Drew, 86, widow of Rev. Lacy H. Drew, died Monday, December 24, 2001 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 27, 2001 at 2:00 p.m. in Saints Delight Pentecostal Holiness Church. Officiating will be Rev. Dean Baber, Rev. James L. Lambert and Mrs. Melba Potter. Burial, directed by GRAHAM FUNERAL HOME, will follow in Elmwood Cemetery Annex in Georgetown.
She was born May 26, 1915 in Marion County, a daughter of the late Murray Tate Harrelson and Daisy Lewis Harrelson. She and Rev. Drew served numerous churches in Berkeley, Georgetown and Williamsburg counties during their ministry. She was a member of Saints Delight Pentecostal Holiness Church Sunday School and the Women's Ministry.
Surviving are: two daughters, Dorothy Lambert and her husband, Labrue of Georgetown and Betty Cannon of Andrews; six grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by two brothers, McLeod and Harry Lee Harrelson; one sister, Sue Herring Rogers; a son-in-law, Wilmer Cannon and a great-granddaughter, Courtney Drew Cannon.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Saints Delight Pentecostal Holiness Church.

William Archie Rowell, Jr., 84, of Goose Creek, a retired teacher at Boulder Bluff Elementary School, died Monday in a local nursing facility.
Funeral services will be held at 12 noon, Thursday, in Carolina Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Carolina Memorial Gardens. Born in Louisiana, he was the son of William Archie Rowell, Sr., and Oma Lizitte Rowell. Mr. Rowell was a graduate of Furman University and a charter member of the New Life Baptist Church in Goose Creek.
Survivors include his wife, Marie Lee Rowell; a step-daughter, Rachel Gahagan of Cottageville; step-sons, Jesse L. Branham of Bonneau and Robert Lee Branham of Gilbert; a niece, Cheryl Roberts of Charlotte, N.C.

Ethel Mabel Mintz Connolly, 74, of North Charleston, widow of Leroy Connolly, died Saturday evening at her residence.

Bernard S. Adry, 67, of Charleston, died Monday, December 24, at a local hospital. Born in Charleston to the late Aziz and Margaret Shahid Adry. Mr. Adry was a graduate of Bishop England High School, and also a graduate of the Citadel. he was a life member of the Elks Lodge #242. Mr. Adry is survived by two sisters, Arleen A. Kadri and husband John, and Lorice A. McMahon and husband Sidney, both from Mt. Pleasant. An uncle Kelly A. Shahid of Charleston, three nieces, two nephews, and one great-nephew all survive him. Jasper "Jack" Brabham Padgett, Jr., 72, of 15 Third St., Bamberg, S.C. 29003, husband of Verna Mae Russell Padgett, died December 24, 2001, at a Columbia hospital.
Born on October 31, 1929, in Bamberg County, Mr. Padgett was the son of the late Jasper B. Padgett and the late Nora Herndon Padgett. He was a member of Spring Branch Baptist Church, Bamberg, S.C. He was a retired as a self-employed salesman. He enjoyed fishing and camping.
Funeral services will be Thursday, December 27, 2001, at 11 a.m., in Spring Branch Baptist Church, with the Rev. Donnie Delk officiating and assisted by the Rev. Vollie Gibbs. The body will be placed in the church at 10 a.m.
Survivors include, one daughter, Sheilah Carlander and son-in-law, Barry of Irmo, S.C.; two sons, Keith Padgett and Myron Padgett, both of Columbia, S.C.; one brother, Robert Henry Padgett; two sisters, Mary Ellen Padgett and Georgia Mae Dempsey, all of Bamberg; six grandchildren, Karren Hammer, Kris Altman, Michael Carlande, Jennifer, Bradley and Jonathan Padgett; four great-grandchildren, Ethan and Caleb Hammer, Paitin and Reilly Altman.

William J. Trotman, Sr., 49, the network administrator for the S.C. Department of Natural Resources, died Wednesday, December 26, 2001 at his home in James Island. Born March 27, 1952 in Henderson, North Carolina he was the son of the late Harry Dehaven Trotman, and Rebecca Mayo Trotman. He was educated at East Carolina University and the University of N.C. at Chapel Hill. Mr. Trotman was a member of the Charleston Yacht Club and the Charleston Ocean Racing Association (CORA). He is survived by his wife Fran Trotman; two sons: William J. Trotman, Jr. and his wife Jennifer, Greensboro, N.C., and Andrew Cain Trotman, Charleston; mother Rebecca M. Trotman; three brothers: Harry Trotman and his wife Ruth, Hope Mills, N.C., Paul Trotman, Wilmington, N.C., and James Trotman, Baltimore, Md.; and sister Rebecca Jones and her husband, Dr. Michael Jones, Henderson, N.C.
