CLAWSON, Sara
Dalzell, SC - Sara Roberta Clawson, age 59, wife of 38 years to James D. Clawson, died Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2001 at Walter Reed Army Hospital in Washington, DC.
Mrs. Clawson was born in Emanuel County, GA., a daughter of the late Luther Thomas and Clarence Amanda Way Layton. She was a member of Our Lady of the Skies Parish at Shaw Air Force Base, SC and St. Joseph's Parish in Columbia, SC. She was a civil service employee for 35 years, was currently employed by 20th LSS Squardron of Shaw Air Force Base and was a member of Beta Sigma Phi for over 30 years, Laureate Pi Chapter.
Surviving in addition to her husband of Dalzell are two sons, James D. Clawson, Jr., and Thomas M. Clawson and his wife, Tracy, all of Columbia, SC and one daughter, Alicia K. Clawson and her husband, Earl C. Scoggins, Jr., also of Columbia, SC., one brother, Gerald Layton of Gordon, GA., and two sisters, Sammie Renaud of Cairo, GA and Peggy Wilmer of Bloomington, Illinois, three grandchildren, Sara Katherine Scoggins, Caroline Elizabeth Scoggins and Ian Michael Clawson.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Patsy Green and one brother, Kent Layton.
A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 30, 2001 in the chapel of BULLOCK FUNERAL HOME with Father Dunn, officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 29, 2001 at funeral home and at other times at the residence on Whisperwood Dr., in Dalzell.

She is survived by two daughters, Elizabeth M. Hanahan of Johns Island, S.C. and Julia M. Plowden of James Island, S.C.; three sons, David M. Moorer, Sr. of Huger, S.C., Ronald A. Moorer of James Island, S.C. and Jerald A. Edwards of Ravenel, S.C.; one brother, John B. Boyer of Johns Island, S.C.; 21 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Charles and Julia Plowden were her caregivers.

BRANCHVILLE - Mr. Clyde B. Myers, 80, of 1517 Dorange Rd. died Thursday morning in an Orangeburg medical center. Mr. Myers was born May 5, 1921 in Orangeburg Co., a son of the late James Frederick Myers, and Bessie Cook Myers. He was a retired farmer, a veteran of WW II, and a life long resident of the Branchville community.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of the OTT FUNERAL HOME in Branchville with burial in the ThompsonCemetery near Branchville. Family will receive friends one hour before services.
Survived by his wife, Mrs. Doris M. Myers; one step-son Mr. Edward Lamar Pace of Irving, Tex.; two step-daughters, Mrs. Sarah C. Millen and Dorothy L. Born November 9, 1947 in East St. Louis, Illinois, Mr. Boswell was the son of John Joseph Boswell, Sr. and Lula Mae Rody Boswell. He was an Army Veteran and served in Viet Nam and was a member of the VFW post #3142. He was a former machinist and a member of Calvary Lutheran Church.
Surviving Mr. Boswell are his wife, Joan Hopkins Boswell of N. Charleston; his father, John Joseph Boswell, Sr. of Kansas City, Mo.; a son, Brian Joseph Boswell of Baton Rouge, La.; three brothers, Otto Boswell, Gary Hutchison and Lyle Hutchison all of Kansas City, Mo.; a step-daughter, Donna Marie Simmons of Goose Creek, and two grandchildren, Theresa and Madison Simmons.

Mr. McClammy was born June 25, 1941 in Wilmington, North Carolina the son of the late D. Elwood McClammy and Peachie Marie Jenkins McClammy. Lawrence McClammy was a third generation Blacksmith and owner of McClammy Iron Works, serving the low country since the mid 1950's. Mr. McClammy was a member of Christ Sanctified Holy Church.
Surviving are his wife of Hanahan, SC; son, David McClammy of Bristow, OK; four daughters, Judy Carmen of Ruther Glen, VA, Debi Williams of Richlands, NC, Sheila White and Laura Beth McClammy both of Hanahan, SC; stepson, Kevin Freshwater of Hanahan, SC; two sisters, Pat Cupp-Chennault of Pinopolis, SC and Mary Rabel of Mobile, AL; eight grandchildren and one great grandchild.
