CHAMBLIN, Jerry
Chief Petty Officer (Ret.) Jerry Edward Chamblin, 59, of 8347 Lodge Highway, Lodge, died Monday, December 24, 2001, at the Beaufort Naval Hospital.
Funeral Services will be held 2 o'clock Saturday, December 29, 2001 in the chapel of THE BRICE W. HERNDON & SONS FUNERAL HOME. Interment with full military honors, Cross Swamp United Methodist Church Cemetery in Islandton.
Mr. Chamblin was born June 23, 1942 in Jamestown, Ohio, and was a son of the late Ferlin and Hazel Robinson Chamblin. He became a carpenter when he retired after twenty years of active duty with the United States Navy.
Surviving are: His wife of thirty-six years- Barbara Ann Connelly Chamblin; two sons, James Chamblin and Chris Chamblin both of Lodge; a grandson, Brian Chamblin of Lodge; a granddaughter, Kimberly Chamblin of Lodge; a sister, Laura A. Gilmore of Greenfield, Ohio; four brothers, John Chamblin of Obetz, Ohio, David Chamblin of Mt. Orab, Ohio, Mike Chamblin of Springboro, Ohio, and George Chamblin of Seman, Ohio. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Carol Louise Chamblin and Patricia June McRoberts.

GINN, Robert
Mr. Robert Lee Ginn Sr. 84 of 715 Burnell Road near Estill, died Wednesday morning at his residence after and extended illness.
Mr. Ginn was born in Hampton County, November 1, 1917 a son of the late James Hansford Ginn and Renia Mason Ginn. He had retired from Westinghouse Corp. in Hampton after 30 years of service, and was an Army Veteran of World War II, serving in the 163rd Support Battalion of the South Carolina Army National Guard as a member of Battery D., 107 SEP Coast Artillery, from 1940 to 1945. He was member of the Nixville Baptist Church, where he served as Deacon from 1964 to 1988 and was an Honorary Deacon from 1988 to present. He also was the Teacher of the DeLacy Long Sunday School Class for many years, and served as Brotherhood and R. A. Director. He participated in Nursing Home Outreach Ministry at Harper Nursing Center in Estill for 20 years.
Surviving are: His Wife of 52 years: Hazel Padgett Ginn of Estill; Sons and daughter in laws: Robert Lee (Bobby) Ginn Jr. and Teresa Ginn of Estill; Rev. Ronald Ginn and Sylvia Ginn of Rose Hill, N.C.; Daughter and son in law: Mary Ginn Lightsey and Gene Lightsey of Estill; Three sisters: North Charleston; Grandchildren: Francis Lightsey, Stephanie Lightsey Horry Delana Lightsey, and Dustin Lightsey: Robby Ginn, Heather Ginn, and Jason Gin: and 2 great grandsons: Eric Horry Jr. and Gage Lightsey. There are several neices and nephews.
Funeral services will be 3 P.M. Friday in the Nixville Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Jimmy Roletter, Rev. Mike Fredrickson, and Rev. Ronald Ginn, with burial in the Church Cemetery directed by PEEPLES-RHODEN FUNERAL HOME IN HAMPTON.
Friends may call at the Chapel in Hampton from 6 to 9 P. M. Thursday, and Friday until 2 P. M. when the casket will be placed in the church prior to services.

Tamer Jones Steward, 76, died Sunday, December 23, 2001. The funeral will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday, December 29, 2001, in HAMILTON'S FUNERAL CHAPEL, WALTERBORO. Burial will be in McCune Branch Baptist Church Cemetery, Lodge, S. C.
Mrs. Steward was born in Colleton County and the daughter of the late Isaac and Mary Stephens Jones. She attended the public schools of Colleton County. She was a member of McCune Branch Baptist Church.
She was the widow of William Steward.
Surviving are: three children, Alton Steward of Summerville, Jerry Jones, of Lodge and James Murrell of Charleston; three sisters, Lottie Brown of Lodge and Peggy Garvin and Louree Garvin of Atlanta, Georgia; a brother-in-law, Johnnie Lee Garvin of Atlanta, Georgia; two sisters-in-law, Emma Lee Jones of Lodge and Anna Jones of Atlanta, Georgia.

STANLEY, Carol
Carol Edward Stanley, Sr., 66 died Thursday, December 27, 2001 at his home in Ridgeland, SC., after a long illness. He was born in Ridgeland, SC., on August 15, 1935; son of the late Raymond C. Stanley and Ella Searson Stanley.
He was the General Manager for MacKay Point Plantation for the past 28, years; member Coosawhatchie Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon; commissioner for Jasper County Soil and Water Conservation District; board member South Carolina Forestry and Wildlife Commission; former Chairman of the Board for Thomas Heyward Academy; presently served as ex-officio member; 2001 recipient of Sgt. Jasper Award; active member of Jasper County Community and served in many volunteer capacities.
He is survived by his wife, Jean C. Stanley of Ridgeland, SC., two sons and a daughter-in-law, C. Eddie Stanley, Jr., of Ridgeland, SC and Ronald J. and Linda Stanley of Ridgeland, SC., one daughter and son-in-law, Donna S. and Brian Dittman of Okatie, SC., one sister, Ann S. Smith of Grays, SC., two grandchildren and was preceded in death by one brother, Thomas Stanley.

Linda G. Glover, 52, of Charleston died Thursday, December 27, 2001 at a local hospital. She was a graduate of St. Andrews High School and attended Trident Technical College. She was born in Newport R. I. to the late Gene Gabrielli and Cecelia Guyton Gabrielli Clark. She was a longtime resident of Charleston, South Carolina and a member of Bethany United Methodist Church. Mrs. Glover was a woman of many talents and a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her husband of thirty-one years, James R. Glover, two daughters, Melody Clark and Holly Glover, both of Charleston, SC., grandchildren, Christian Clark and Emily Clark of Charleston, SC., two brothers, David Gabrielli of Summerville and Chris Gabrielli of Charleston; sisters, Carolyn Wright of Mt. Jeanne was born July 24, 1948 in Marion County, a daughter of Zilphia "Zip" Martin Hardwick and the late John Lacy "J.L." Hardwick, Jr. Jeanne was a Registered Nurse with the S.C. Department of Health and Environmental Control, where she worked with Home Health Services and acted as school nurse for Palmetto Junior High. She was a graduate of Mullins High School and a graduate of the Greenville General Hospital School of Nurses. Jeanne was a member of Mullins First Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Willing Workers Sunday School Class.
Surviving Jeanne in addition to her mother of Mullins are: 2 daughters: Ginger Ray of Mullins and Joni Webster of Florence; a grandson: Jamison Ray of Mullins; a sister: Susan Ford and her husband Travis of Lancaster; and 2 nephews: Spencer Ford and Cal Ford, both of Lancaster.
