FEAGIN, Jessie
Jessie Louis Feagin, 69, of Goose Creek, SC, a retired truck driver for Standard Trucking Co., died Wednesday in a Charleston hospital.
The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. this Sunday afternoon, Dec. 30, 2001, in the CHAPEL OF DIAL-MURRAY FUNERAL HOME, MONCKS CORNER. Interment will be in Lake City Memorial Park, Lake City, S.C.
Mr. Feagin was born June 20, 1932, in Florence Co., S.C., a son of Jessie E. Feagin and Mymie Matthews Feagin. He was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was of the Pentecostal Holiness faith.
Surviving are, three sons, Tim Feagin and Randy Feagin both of Goose Creek, and Kendall L. Feagin of Moncks Corner; three sisters, Annette Tisdale of Kingstree, and Novelene Lynn and Carolyn Oglesby both of Charleston; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

MORRIS, Thomas
ANDREWS - Thomas Whitfield Morris, Sr., 76, died Friday, December 28, 2001, at Georgetown Memorial Hospital in Georgetown.
Mr. Morris was born in the Williamsburg County near Andrews on October 29, 1925, a son of the late Hughie Oscar Morris and Annie Marie Browder Morris. He grew up and lived in the Warsaw community of Williamsburg County all of his life. Mr. Morris served in the U.S. Army during WW II. He had been a general contractor and owner of Thomas Morris Construction Company and was currently a well driller. Mr. Morris was a member of Piney Forest Baptist Church. He was a widower of Sadie Mae Howard who died July 21, 1996.
Surviving are: a daughter, Linda M. Smith of Andrews; three sons, Tommy Morris of Pawley's Island, Chris Morris of Andrews, and Randy Morris of Conway; four brothers, David J. Morris, Sr., J.B. Morris, J. Walker Morris, and R.C. Morris all of Andrews; two sisters, Mary M. Hancock of Columbia and Margie M. Brown of Charleston; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by two sisters; Rosie Morris and Joann M. Mixon; and two brothers, Marvin Morris and Oscar Morris.
Funeral services will be Sunday afternoon, December 30, 2001, at 2:30 o'clock in Piney Forest Baptist Church. Officiating will be the Rev. James May and the Rev. Frankie Tanner. Burial will follow in Piney Forest Cemetery under the direction of the ANDREWS CHAPEL OF MAYER FUNERAL HOME.

CUTTINO, Edwin
SUMTER, S.C. - Edwin Cotesworth Cuttino, 81, husband of Pretto Brunson Cuttino, died Saturday, December 29, 2001 at the Tuomey Healthcare System.
Born in Sumter on December 2, 1920 he was a son of the late Charles Lynam Cuttino and Marguerite Tindal Cuttino.
Mr. Cuttino was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. Mr. Cuttino was an outstanding athlete, winning many awards in basketball, swimming, diving, tennis and golf. He was elected to the Sumter Sports Hall of Fame in 1985. He graduated from Washington and Lee University where he was captain of the basketball team and a member of Delta Tau Delta fraternity. He served as Chairman of the Independent Insurance Agents, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Sunset Country Club and the Y.M.C.A. Board. Mr. Cuttino was Storyteller Extraordinaire, entertaining his family and friends for years. He was a member of the American Legion Post #15, the Sumter Lions Club, and the Elks Club. He was a member and former President of the Sumter Assembly, the Cotillion Club and the Thalian Club. For many years he was an active member of the Godfather's Group. He was a World War II Navy veteran.
Surviving are his wife of 55 years of Sumter; three sons, Edwin Cotesworth Cuttino, Jr. and his wife Carolyn of Mt. Pleasant, S.C., Dr Judson Pringle Cuttino and his wife Debby of Savannah, Ga., Thomas Allen Cuttino and his wife Cathy Jo of Sumter; two sisters, Mary Cuttino Snyder of Sumter and Marguerite Cuttino Haynsworth of Norfolf, Va.; a sister-in-law, Mary Leigh Otey of Charlotte, N.C.; nine grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Judge Charles L. Cuttino, Jr. and Colonel Thomas E. Cuttino.
Graveside Services will be held at 12 Noon Monday in the Sumter Cemetery with Dr. Edward McLeod officiating.
Pallbearers will be John Acken, James Snyder, III, Robert Edwin Graham, Jr., H.C. Haynsworth, III, Kirkwood Otey, Wade Otey, Ramon Schwartz and Phil Waynick.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Members of the Santee Club, members of the Sumter Insurance Group, A.D. Plowden, Sam Hunter, Dick Newell, E.R. Riccoboni, Bill Gardenhire, Frank Ferro, Ed Hartin, Billy Fort, Glen Mouzon, D. Leslie Tindal, O.V. Player, Dr. Hugh Stoddard, Dr. Kent Cunningham, Dr. Ted Williams, Dr. Charles White and Dr. Dale Cannon.
The family will receive friends at the home, 11 Calhoun Drive.
Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church, 9 W. Calhoun St., the Y.M.C.A., 50 Willow Dr. Sumter, S.C. 29150 or to a charity of one's choice.

HENRY STUHR, INC., GREENRIDGE ROAD CHAPEL Tuesday afternoon, January 1, 2002 at 4 o'clock. Interment, Kirkland Memorial Gardens, Point Pleasant, W.Va. Mr. Ward was born March 6, 1950 in Huntington, W.Va. The son of Donald Lee and Mary Frances Fannin Ward. He was a graduate of Point Pleasant High School, Class of 1968, attended United Electronics Institute, Charleston, W.Va., and Cabell County Career Center, Huntington, W.Va. He served in the United States Air Force as a Sergeant during the Vietnam era. Mr. Ward was formerly employed for twenty years by Kaiser Aluminum of Ravenswood, W.Va. He worked for Lieber Correctional Institution as a corrections officer since August of 1987. He was a member of the following: Egeria Masonic Lodge #71, Harleyville, S.C., Point Pleasant, W.Va. EMS. He served on the advisory board of Arc-en-Ciel Rainbow Assembly, Harleyville and was a Masters of Grand Cross of Color. He was a member of Cathedral of Praise Church, North Charleston, S.C. and Bellemead U.M. Church, Point Pleasant, W.Va.
Surviving are his parents of Point Pleasant, W.Va., one son: Michael Stephen Ward, Jr. of Summerville, S.C.; one daughter, Aubrey R. Thielbar (Mrs. Scott) of Rock Hill, S.C.; one brother, Gregory Edward Ward of Proctorville, Ohio, one sister Leslie Ann Martin of Proctorville, Ohio, several nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles. Mr. Ward was predeceased in death by son Donald Paul Ward and survived by fianc‚e Diane Stein of Seymour, Tenn.

Mrs. Nielie Bertha R. Wright, 68, of Umbria Road, Cordesville, S.C., a former jailor with the Berkeley County Sheriffs Department, died Saturday, December 29, 2001, at her residence.
A Funeral Mass will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 2, 2002, in the St. Philip Benizi Catholic Church, Moncks Corner. Final Farewell and Commendation will be in Berkeley Memorial Gardens, Moncks Corner. Mrs. Wright was born October 29, 1933 in Vance, S.C., a daughter of Brian Jennings Rourke and Pearline Rush Rourke Makonis. She is the widow of Herbert Wright. She is a member of the St. Philip Benizi Catholic Church. She was preceeded in death by a son Allen Wayne Wright and a sister Edith Zey Groves.
Surviving are her husband, Charles Markonish; one daughter, Frances Wright of Moncks Corner; two sons, Paul Wright and Duffy Wright both of Moncks Corner; two sisters, Jean Merrick of Boston, Mass., and Lenny Rourke Saffold of Tampa, Fla.; one brother, Lester Rourke of Madison, Fla.; ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

CUMBIE, David
ANDREWS - David Oral Cumbie, 47, owner and operator of D&J Tire Service of Jamestown, died Saturday, December 29, 2001, at his residence.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 2, 2002, at North Hampton Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Ivey Cemetery near Andrews, directed by Andrews Chapel of McKenzie Funeral Home. Officiating will be Rev. Jack Mobley.
Visitation will be 7-9 p.m., Tuesday evening, January 1, 2002, at Andrews Chapel of McKenzie Funeral Home.
Mr. Cumbie was born November 6, 1954, in Georgetown County, a son of Daniel W. Cumbie and Lucille Eagerton Cumbie. He was a graduate of Andrews High School and attended North Hampton Baptist Church.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Janice Lee C. Cumbie of Andrews, are: a son, Robert C. Barnes, II of Andrews; two daughters, Tracey Cumbie Mills and her husband Christopher of Socastee, and Brittany Dawn Cumbie of Harleyville; three sisters, Jude C. Cooper and Dannie F. Collins, both of Andrews; two grandchildren, Taylor Cumbie and Jordan Mills; a number of nieces and nephews.

DONALDSON, Kenneth
Kenneth Donaldson, 86, a lifelong resident of Mt. Pleasant died on the morning of Sunday, December 30, 2001. The funeral service will be conducted at the graveside in Christ Episcopal Churchyard Cemetery at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, January 2, 2002. Friends may call from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. Tuesday afternoon at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., MT. PLEASANT CHAPEL.
Mr. Donaldson was born February 1, 1915 the son of Sidney T. and Ann Marshall Sanders Donaldson. He was an honors graduate of Charleston High School in June, 1932 and was an Army veteran of WWII. For many years he owned and operated Kenny's Department Store in the old village of Mt. Pleasant. He was a founding father of East Cooper Private School. He loved the sea, building and sailing boats. Later in life he enjoyed golf and caring for his animals.
Kenneth is survived by his wife of 53 years, Lila Dupre Donaldson, his daughters and sons-in-law, Emily D. (Bob) Williams of Chicago, Lila D. (Ray) Giddens of Simpsonville, S.C., and his daughter Ann Marshall Donaldson of Mt. Pleasant. He is also survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth (Saron) Donaldson, Jr. and Malcolm (Kim) Donaldson, of Mt. Pleasant and his son, Jervey Dupre Donaldson of Atlanta. Four grandchildren and his sister-in-law, Mrs. Robert (Rosalie) Donaldson also survive.
Memorials are suggested to East Cooper Meals on Wheels, 440 Whilden St., Mt. Pleasant, S.C. 29464 or John Ancrum SPCA, 3861 Leeds Ave., N. Charleston, S.C. 29405.
