Mr. King was born in Greensboro, N.C., a son of Elijah G. and Mary Nick King. He was a former Purchasing Agent for Braswell Shipyard and Business Owner of TriCounty Tool Repair Center, Chas., S.C.
Surviving are his wife of Awendaw, S.C., one daughter, Sandy Currie of Wilmington, N.C. and one son, Randy King of Hampstead, N.C., and four grandchildren, Jennifer Johnson, Traci Johnson, Krista King and Scott King.

TILLMAN, Jean
Jean Varn Tillman, 48, of Mt. Pleasant, S.C. died Tuesday, February 12, 2002 at her residence. The relatives and friends of Jean Varn Tillman are invited to attend her funeral services Thursday, February 14, 2002 in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL at 2:00 o'clock. Mrs. Tillman was born in New York, New York, a daughter of Jean Schron Varn and the late Charles F. Varn. She graduated from Moultrie High School and the College of Charleston with a degree in Education. She taught school at Belle Hall Elementary and formerly taught at Stella Maris and other Charleston County Schools. She was an active volunteer in numerous schools.
Surviving are her husband, Gordon O. Tillman, one daughter, Jennifer Jean Tillman, one son, Gordon O. Tillman, Jr., her mother of Mt. Pleasant, S.C., two brothers, Charles Varn, Jr. and his wife, Audrey of Columbia, S.C., and Fred S. Varn and his wife, Kristy, of Mt. Pleasant, S.C., two nieces, Laura and Kathryn Varn, and three nephews, Charles, Fred and William Varn.

Mr. Brunson was born September 22, 1913 in Norway, South Carolina, the son of the late Charlie Eugene Brunson and Simmie Binnicker Brunson. Mr. Brunson was a member of Hampton Park Baptist Church. He was a retired painter with the Charleston Naval Shipyard, Shop No. 71, a master carpenter in the Charleston area and a member of the Woodmen of the World.
Mr. Brunson was survived by his wife of Ladson, S.C.; two daughters, Carrie B. Jeffcoat of Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., and Janice B. Cardell of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; six grandchildren, Robert J. Jeffcoat, III, Yvonne Downing, Denise Cardell, Stephanie Cardell, Craig Brunson and Ashley Brunson; five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Bevly Bragg Brunson.
KOZMA, Frank
Frank Kozma, 90, of Charleston, died Saturday, February 9, 2002 at a local hospital. He was born in Rome, N.Y. to Leon and Victoria Gorskowski Kozma. He was a graduate of Rensselaer Poly-Tech Institute and a retired chemical engineer with Westvaco after 42 years. Frank was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church, a past member of the German Friendly Society, a life member of the American Chemical Society and a longtime patron of the Footlight Players. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Mary Powers Kozma, three sons, Frank Kozma, Jr. of Arlington, Texas, John P. Kozma of Charleston, James L. Kozma of Baltimore, Md., and a grandson, Blake Celestian. He was predeceased by a daughter, Mary Elizabeth Celestian last year. EICHHORN, Kathleen
Kathleen Prescott Eichhorn entered into eternal sleep on February 10, 2002, resulting from a ten year battle with breast cancer. She was a retired second grade teacher of 25 years at Wilson Hill Elementary School in Worthington, Ohio. She resided at 816 Harbor Place Drive in Charleston, S.C. 29412 with her husband Richard S. Eichhorn who survives her. In addition, her daughters, Elizabeth Arndt of Durham, N.C. with grandchildren, Jeffrey and Madeline and Addie Bourne of Lovettsville, Va. with grandchildren Kathleen and Michael and her sister Elizabeth List and nephew William Hedman of Columbus, Ohio, also survive her. Other survivors include stepchildren, David C. Eichhorn of Woodland Hills, Calif., Richard A. Eichhorn of Littleton, Colo. and Susan L. Eichhorn of Medina, Ohio.
A Memorial Service will be held at St. Michael's Episcopal Church at Meeting and Broad Street in downtown Charleston on Wednesday, February 13, 2002 at 3:00 p.m. and will be followed by a burial of her ashes in the churchyard columbarium. Olive was born in Charleston on August 4, 1921 the daughter of the late William Ashley Waters and Florence Muse Waters. Her first husband Franklin J. McElroy, Sr. and her second husband, Edward Burbage, preceded her in death.
Mrs. Burbage is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Judith F. (Lewis) Trull of Summerville, her sons and daughters-in-law, William Michael (Lisa) McElroy of Moncks Corner and Franklin J. (Edith) McElroy, Jr. of Adams Run. WILDER, Henry
ANDREWS - Dr. Henry Wilder, 77, died Monday, February 11, 2002, in a Charleston hospital.
Dr. Wilder was born in Andrews on November 18, 1924, a son of the late Henry Buford Wilder and Bessie Matthews Wilder. He grew up in Andrews and was a graduate of Andrews High School. Dr. Wilder served in the Army and then was employed by the U.S. Post Office for a time. He attended the University of South Carolina and was a graduate of Emory University School of Dentistry, Class of 1963. Dr. Wilder practiced dentistry in Andrews for many years until his retirement.
Dr. Wilder was a member of First Baptist Church of Andrews and the Pal Sunday School Class of the church. He served his church in a number of capacities. Dr. Wilder was a former deacon, a church moderator, and chairman of the flower committee.
Dr. Wilder was a floral designer and well-known flower lover. He was also founder of the Wilder Scholarship Fund for college scholarships.
Survivors are, two sisters, Eva W. Tompkins of Andrews and Bertha W. Hall of Dearborn, Mich.; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Dr. Wilder was predeceased by a brother, Olin B. Wilder; and two sisters, Ruth W. Wilder and Wylma L. Wilder.
Funeral services will be 2 o'clock, Thursday afternoon, February 14, 2002, in First Baptist Church of Andrews. Officiating will be the Rev. L. Michael Mills and the Rev. Grover Mixon. Burial will follow in Andrews Memorial Cemetery under the direction of the Andrews Chapel of MAYER FUNERAL HOME.

ALLISON, Joseph
Joseph (Bud) LeVerne Allison, 73, of Portland, OR died Monday, February 11, 2002 at his home. Born September 14, 1928 in Sturgis, SD, he was the son of Vera Bibiana Allison (nee Keffler) and Robert Eugene Allison. Formerly a linotype operator and printer, Mr. Allison was a friend of Bill W. for 31 years. He is survived by his former wife Anne Burnside Allison of Glen Burnie, MD; five children: daughters Laurine Therese Charles of Charleston, SC and Margaret Anne Harrington of St. Joseph, MI; sons Michael Joseph Allison of Welcome, MD, Walter Raymond Allison of Lanham, MD and Patrick James Allison of Annapolis, MD; thirteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Arrangements entrusted to OMEGA FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, PORTLAND, OR. Friends are invited to attend a memorial service at the Sally McCracken House, 532 NW Everett Street, Portland, OR 97209 on Sunday, February 24, 2002 at 6:00 pm. MURRELL, "Stumpy"
Edward A. "Stumpy" Murrell, 68, of Awendaw, S.C., died Tuesday, February 12, 2002, at his residence. The relatives and friends of "Stumpy" Murrell are invited to attend his funeral services, Saturday morning, February 16, 2002, in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL, at 11 o'clock. Interment will follow in Wilson Cemetery. Friends may call at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL, Friday evening from 6 until 8 o'clock.
Mr. Murrell was born in Awendaw, S.C., a son of Horace Lee Murrell and Annie Fort Murrell. He previously worked for C.G. Willis Tugboat Co. as a Deck Hand and he also worked for R.C. Steel Construction Co. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army.
Surviving are his wife, Chellie Ayen Murrell of Awendaw, S.C., two sisters, Grace Mitchum of Huger, S.C., and Janet M. Davis of James Island, S.C., one brother, Robert Murrell of Mt. Pleasant, S.C., six children, Marlone Paas of San Diego, Calif., Janet Dowdy of Las Vegas, Nev., Marvin Paas of Awendaw, S.C., Jane Paas of the Philippines, Ben Paas of the Philippines, and Elbe Halagao of the Philippines, 19 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother, Locky Murrell and one son, Adore Paas.

Wilfred), Mr. Walter Scott, Jr., Ms. Theresa Scott Gibson and Mr. Alphonso Scott all of Ravenel, S.C., Mrs. Hazel Scott Burroughs (Hubert) of Atlanta, Ga., Rev. Albert Scott (Jacklin) of Lithonia, Ga., and the late Mr. Herman Scott; sister of Mrs. Wilhelmenia Edney of Courtland, Va. Friends may visit at 4236 Davison Road. WADDELL, Winifred
Winifred Ann Waddell, 77, of Charleston, died Wednesday, February 13, 2002, at her residence. Ms. Waddell was born January 27, 1925, in Hattisburg, Miss., the daughter of Byars George and Winifred Cecellia Redmond Waddell. She was graduated from North Charleston High School. Ms. Waddell was formerly employed by Bishop England High School and retired from the Charleston Naval Shipyard, after her retirement she worked at St. Joseph's Catholic Church for many years. She helped organize the Perpetual Adoration at Blessed Sacrament Church. The relatives and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m., Friday, February 15, 2002, at St. Josephs' Catholic Church, 1695 Wallenburg Blvd. The Rite of Committal will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends may call at the church, Thursday, February 14, 2002, from 6 to 8 p.m. A Vigil Service will be held at the church, Thursday evening at 6 p.m. Surviving are a brother, William B.
